Yuzu Rice Lager
Mike J.

I stopped into Big Ditch Brewing Company before attending the NHL Draft conference, and I'm really glad I did! The beer selection here is fantastic with so many tempting choices. This time around I decided to go with the Limonado and the Yuzu Rice Lager, and both were excellent. The Limonado was especially memorable. It's packed with flavour, refreshing, and easily my favourite of the two. The food was great too. I ordered the Chicken Mac & Cheese, and not only was it delicious, but the portion size was huge for the price. Plenty of flavour, plenty of food, and exactly what I was looking for before a busy day. Service was another highlight. Justin was tending bar and was awesome to chat with. Friendly, welcoming, and helped make the visit even more enjoyable. Between the great beer, tasty food, generous portions, and excellent service, this place left a great impression on me. I'm definitely planning on bringing my wife here very soon so she can experience it too. For more food, brewery, and travel reviews, check out our YouTube channel A&M Roam!

I always enjoy the atmosphere the food and the bruise. What a fantastic Buffalo spot with a name, honoring our history! Highly recommend come by with a group with your business partners for a meet up or Solo! They offer a variety of private spaces and I'll see you at the bar! Fantastic service with a smile five star!

I come here for brunch sometimes and service is always just ok. At least on our last trip I was able to order the first item I wanted. I just got the Ditchwitch breakfast sandwich with the chicken sausage. The fried egg was over cooked with crispy pieces of white and I got a piece of shell. So I had pieces of gross egg and the shell on the side of my plate. The hashbrowns must have been deep fried because they were amazingly crispy, but a little too salty. My mother got the biscuit sampler and enjoyed it. They could have been a little more generous with the sausage gravy in my opinion. My Mom counted 4 small chunks of sausage. They took the corned beef hash off the menu that my Mom got last time and it was delicious! If I'm in the area I might stop in, but overall I wouldn't go out of my way to come here. I do enjoy the wide open garage doors and patio in the summertime.

One of the best breweries! We are traveling from California and decided to give this place a try. We were greeted quickly, The beer (pilsner) was excellent, and the Food was delicious! Wish there was a place like this where we live. Will definitely come back on our next Buffalo visit!

The hubs & I started with cheese curds, which were delicious! I had the Beef on Weck and he had the Bangers on Mash. The food was incredible. Our server was great and attentive. The atmosphere was great - typical of a brewery eatery.

Greek Pork belly tacos (special) 7/10 The pork belly was deep fried- it was hard, some of it was crunchy, it was hard to chew and I did not like it. The rest of the taco was just fine though.

We got a post on facebook earlier today that Big Ditch has 75 cents wings on Mondays from 3- close, so we decided to have wings for dinner. We ordered 10 of the Hayburner wings, medium heat, and 10 of the Hot Honey wings. We liked them both, but liked the Hot Honey ones more. The wings are served with blu cheese and a few( very few) pieces of celery. Our waitress, Kelsey, was very friendly and answered all of our questions about the menu! It was a very enjoyable dinner.

We went on a very busy Saturday but we were seated right away! The place is very large lots of wood everywhere! The menu was pretty big with lots of sauce options for fries! I got the sandwich famous in Buffalo beef on a weck! Which is roast beef sandwich and the roll has salt and caraway seeds. I ordered fried cheese curds and a mocktail! Everything came out quickly and all together considering we were a table of 5 it was impressive! Most tasty meal!

Love this place! They make the best Reuben sandwich I have ever had. I love their nachos with pulled pork. Plain Jean interior with an upstairs and downstairs. Service is always great. Parking can be a challenge.

Hand Cut Poutine with chopped steak and a Cinnnamon Apple Amber Ale

Another excellent brewery discovered thanks to the WNY Craft Brew Tour Cards from Habitat for Humanity. I admit, I almost left before sitting down though - the place was absolutely packed with people, very loud, and it was a 30-minute wait for a table. After not too long I was able to snag a seat at the bar and I am very glad that I did. Beer first! I got a seasonal Cinnamon Apple Amber Ale - it is light and flavorful, a beer with almost cidery-notes and a lovely autumn vibe. I would happily get that one again, and there are several more on tap that I want to try. Flights of 5 beers are available for $15 (must get 5 different ones). The food menu has some interesting and creative options and I had a hard time choosing. I went with the poutine and added chopped steak. It's a bit on the saltier side but I think in a good way and it was great with the ale. Plus, the serving is huge! (I brought home leftovers and those vanished pretty quickly too). The people next to me got the tots and nachos, and both plates looked generous and delicious. It's a bit spendy but feels very much worth it here at least for what I saw. Ambiance - the bartenders and hostess were outstanding. Even with the place being very crowded, it was easy to get their attention and I felt well cared for. Restrooms are clean and easy to find with clear signage. There is a little gift shop by the front register / host station if you do brewery keepsakes, want a new hoodie, or want cans of beer to go. For the table seating, they ask for your cell number and text you when your table is ready (so bring your phone!). I was able to find street parking not too far away which is free after 5pm. Some tables have a decent view of the tv's, but the screens are kind of small and no closed captions. There are huge windows that are perfect for watching the weather and city.

Stop #2 on our wing tour of Buffalo and a bit of a sleeper. Definitely went here for the beer as a hayburner IPA(or 2) is a must every visit. One of my favorite IPAs in Buffalo, this place never disappoints. Had their FC Session IPA and does it better than founders All Day. Food was really good as well.

A nice spot my work team stopped in for happy hour. Very nice beer and bar vibe and the service was good. The food was delish and there were many selections of beers.

Definitely plenty of room for a large group.

We waited about ten minutes for a table and enjoyed sitting at the bar for a beer and a drink. Wouldn't have complained if it was a bit longer - nice bar, comfortable, great lighting and ambience, I thought. Prices for beer and a mixed drink are about what you'd expect, won't break the bank. Bartenders were cool! Complimentary peanuts and popcorn in the back, help yourself. We had fun cracking peanuts and the shells on the floor remind me of places I'd go to with my family back in the day. Menu is everything you want when dining in WNY - burgers, wings, beef on weck, sandwich assortment, dinner plates and of course, a terrific fish fry. The fish was my choice, I find a fish fry hard to resist even though the entire menu looked good. Large portion of fish, pub fries, coleslaw and macaroni salad, all perfect. My friend had the black and blue burger with fries and commented how much he enjoyed it. He was also pleased that they cooked it to his requested temperature. Atmosphere in the dining area was very relaxed and the tables filled immediately after anyone left. Like the bar, I thought the lighting was excellent, not too dim but not harsh on the eyes and I found it cool that each table is illuminated more with light from above so you can see to eat just fine. Service was fast, just long enough to finish the peanuts after ordering. So I'm not a beer drinker and can't really comment on the selection but my buddy enjoys the blueberry that seems very popular these days. Overall menu prices are reasonable and in some cases, lower than similar menu items elsewhere. My fish fry was $17.99, pretty good, lots of places ask $22 and even that's reasonable. Definitely would return here.

The hostess was a class act, server was great and checked in regularly. The food is good, everything is priced about what I expected except the coffee. Lol I do like the creamer, it was creamy thick, complimented the coffee well. I just couldn't believe I paid that for coffee. Normally, I would only drink 2 cups but drank 3 because I couldn't let it go to waste. Don't judge me, this was for brunch at 11am. Lol I recommend sharing plates. Not because the portion sizes are large or anything but just because everything tastes great, why not sample as much as possible. My friends and I tried a pizza, the AMAZING Mac and Cheese, and another time, I tried the cinnamon roll and eggplant sandwich. The bread was amazing, flavor was good but needed more eggplant. It felt like I was eating more bread than anything hearty inside it. Probably wouldn't order that again next time but it was still good. Their seasoned fries are also very good. The frosting on the cinnamon roll made this treat worth getting, it was a little hard/dry on the outside but I imagine that was just a mistake for that day as maybe it could have came to the table sooner. It was still reallyyyy delicious. I'll be returning again to try some other items but definitely come and bring a date. That said, it was still a very enjoyable sandwich. The chicken was juicy, full of flavour, and not dry at all, and the bacon was cooked exactly the way I like it. It was fine, it tasted like uncrisp tater tots. If there was a sauce of sorts to dip it in, it would have been better besides just potato. For mains we shared two half pizzas the Fig& Pig and the Pepperoni + Honey. They were both fine, they were half sized but still didn't seem like a lot. The person I was with thought it was too much fig, but I had no problem so that is preference. Though the pork belly was mainly fat. The people with us weren't fans of their food either. They also added Truffle fries and were told it would be extra which they agreed to, but it was an additional $9 not jut 2 or 3. For the service, we assumed it was all due to the massive party but it wasn't that great. We were right in front of the bartender and our water was refilled once the entire time we were there. After seeing his dinner though, I was kicking myself for not ordering food. Recently, I had the opportunity to rectify that and I'm glad I did! Around 5:30pm on a Thursday, I pulled into the huge parking lot (which looking at my first review, is now paved!) and found a spot pretty close to the main entrance. Walking in, there's a host stand straight ahead with a brewery to the right and the dining room to the left. I took a moment to wander around and came away impressed with how large The Ridge West Seneca is. Afterward, I found most of my group had been seated at a both right near the entrance. Cups and glass bottles of water were spread out and menus were laid in front of us. I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted to order but looking over the menu, The Ridge has a great variety of food. Our waitress was great with our group of five, one being a (almost) two-year-old. Our waitress was friendly, personable, did a great job checking on us throughout the evening, I know I was at ease throughout the evening. After a few minutes looking at the menu, we all placed our orders and then sat back and caught up. As I mentioned earlier, it's very spacious inside with music playing over the speakers, some TVs playing sports, and plenty of people enjoying the evening. I've seen The Ridge advertise their outdoor patio and seeing it in person, it looked awesome! The turnaround time from ordering to our dinners arriving was very reasonable, what I would expect for a group our size. For dinner, I ordered their Rustler Burger (8 oz. burger topped with cheddar cheese, a couple strips of bacon, BBQ sauce, crispy onion strings, fried jalapenos, and siracha aioli between a toasted brioche bun), cooked "medium", with a side of fries and their roasted red pepper fry sauce. The burger was excellent!! A hearty patty, cooked to a perfect "medium", topped with nice, big, crispy pieces of bacon, nicely melted cheddar cheese and plenty of crispy onion strings and fried jalapenos on both the top and bottom! The siracha aioli was creamy with a nice spicy, slightly sweet flavor. The fries were cooked perfectly - not soft but not crunchy, perfectly crispy and nicely seasoned. The roasted red pepper fry sauce had a thick texture and great, almost smoky flavor. They have several other fry sauces to pick from so I'll switch it up the next time I come. The portion sizes here are excellent - I've been to other restaurants where their side of fries is... weak, but The Ridge West Seneca, between the generous amount of fries and the big burger, I was far from disappointed! For the price, between the excellent quality and great portions, I thought the price was in-line, very reasonable! I, and the group I was with, had a great experience at The Ridge West Seneca! Friendly staff, great food (both quality and portions), and a cool atmosphere.
