march 28, 2026 -- buyer beware!!! alpine heat pumps does not stand behind the products they sell…read more 18 months after purchase, major components failure of the compressor and inverter pcb board. best they could do was, we could get out there in maybe 2 weeks, why don't you try calling.....maybe they can help. alpine's representative had the nerve after it was diagnosed by another company as a known c464 failure problem with samsung to say, "well every now and then you get a bad one, but the parts are covered!" 18 months and a major failure, and we're supposed to come up with another $1,500 to $2,000 for labor and freon. so, they don't service what they sell, moreover, don't stand behind the product they recommended. not to mention that as part of mass save had to have our furnace disconnected and we are stll without heat (april 7) in half the house...tonights low expected to be 25 degrees! going on a week and half of 50% heat, not expected to maybe be repaired on the 14th. they were responsive in taking my $28,000 for the system, and now they will not respond! poor customer service! they take your money and move on! shop elsewhere, and go with company that actually services what they sell and stands behind the products they sell. oh, and they no longer sell samsung....no suprise. only 1 star, because can't give zero.

Additionally Jason(Alpine) charged me for four(4) mini-splits and I only recieved three(3) and one(1) condenser. He was able to quickly assist the situation explained what was happening. I was able to find the access point in the backyard very quickly. After he remedied the issue, he took a walk-through the basement with me. Keep in mind, this was a three week old purchase so I was not greatly familiar with everything in the house. He pointed out some things I need to watch out for in the future. Definitely some preventive maintenance to be added to my list on this fixer-upper I purchased. It was well worth the money and his time! Somebody told me after he was about $200 less than the average person doing the same service.

I have their service plan, and for a reasonable price they come out and take care of the HVAC components on a regular basis. The technicians have always been straightforward with me, and I've had zero problems with everything except a whole-house humidifier, which needed to be replaced and re-routing of the drain hose, and they stuck with the problem until it was taken care of. They've always been responsive, and have a collection of great techs who are polite, respectful of property, and friendly. I would recommend them for sure.

In doing so, he told me that my unit was old and tried to sell me a new unit. I was highly offended when he tried to sell me a unit. Furthermore, he that I has asbestos in my unit. I have my unit serviced every year and noone has reported to me that I had asbestos. My whole roof was repaired with new insulation. I was left with no choice but to spend 700.00 at Lowes buying 3 air conditioners. I then got a second option for a technician who blew out the water from the pipe and dries up thw water from the pan. I called to get an estimate on a sump pump exam and replacement, and they noted that they are only handling "emergency requests". I asked for anything in the next year, and they said that COVID was leading to problems, recommending that I call around. They noted very clearly that they were not free. The number listed on Yelp was incorrect. The business representative was clear that "they" are not available. He didn't know the reps and added that Matt, the primary owner, was injured. If you are looking for an estimate, keep in mind that it appears that they are having staffing / operational challenges.
