march 28, 2026 -- buyer beware!!! alpine heat pumps does not stand behind the products they sell…read more 18 months after purchase, major components failure of the compressor and inverter pcb board. best they could do was, we could get out there in maybe 2 weeks, why don't you try calling.....maybe they can help. alpine's representative had the nerve after it was diagnosed by another company as a known c464 failure problem with samsung to say, "well every now and then you get a bad one, but the parts are covered!" 18 months and a major failure, and we're supposed to come up with another $1,500 to $2,000 for labor and freon. so, they don't service what they sell, moreover, don't stand behind the product they recommended. not to mention that as part of mass save had to have our furnace disconnected and we are stll without heat (april 7) in half the house...tonights low expected to be 25 degrees! going on a week and half of 50% heat, not expected to maybe be repaired on the 14th. they were responsive in taking my $28,000 for the system, and now they will not respond! poor customer service! they take your money and move on! shop elsewhere, and go with company that actually services what they sell and stands behind the products they sell. oh, and they no longer sell samsung....no suprise. only 1 star, because can't give zero.

He was able to quickly assist the situation explained what was happening. I was able to find the access point in the backyard very quickly. After he remedied the issue, he took a walk-through the basement with me. Keep in mind, this was a three week old purchase so I was not greatly familiar with everything in the house. He pointed out some things I need to watch out for in the future. Definitely some preventive maintenance to be added to my list on this fixer-upper I purchased. It was well worth the money and his time! Somebody told me after he was about $200 less than the average person doing the same service.

After a long and time consuming check of the unit, it was discovered that there is a leak in my 6 -year-old unit and Freon depleted. Costs are high to find and repair the leak in this unit and more expensive is cost of a new air conditioner - which Lapsov quoted as between $!0,000-14,000. But he added several pounds of refrigerant and hopefully it can continue cooling for another few more years. I am grateful to him for spending so much time to search out what he initially thought was a faulty component and finding the addition of Freon was just the thing to cool the house. Hope it lasts! Tried to sell me a new one. I had another firm came by, discovered Hurley had also disconnected some wires internally so I couldn't restart it. Other company ran a combustion test which showed it was safe and actually over 90% efficient Terrible to shut me off in January when the temps were in the single digits By the way, the honest company that solved my problem was Countywide out of Westfield.

I asked for anything in the next year, and they said that COVID was leading to problems, recommending that I call around. They noted very clearly that they were not free. The number listed on Yelp was incorrect. The business representative was clear that "they" are not available. He didn't know the reps and added that Matt, the primary owner, was injured. If you are looking for an estimate, keep in mind that it appears that they are having staffing / operational challenges.
