march 28, 2026 -- buyer beware!!! alpine heat pumps does not stand behind the products they sell…read more 18 months after purchase, major components failure of the compressor and inverter pcb board. best they could do was, we could get out there in maybe 2 weeks, why don't you try calling.....maybe they can help. alpine's representative had the nerve after it was diagnosed by another company as a known c464 failure problem with samsung to say, "well every now and then you get a bad one, but the parts are covered!" 18 months and a major failure, and we're supposed to come up with another $1,500 to $2,000 for labor and freon. so, they don't service what they sell, moreover, don't stand behind the product they recommended. not to mention that as part of mass save had to have our furnace disconnected and we are stll without heat (april 7) in half the house...tonights low expected to be 25 degrees! going on a week and half of 50% heat, not expected to maybe be repaired on the 14th. they were responsive in taking my $28,000 for the system, and now they will not respond! poor customer service! they take your money and move on! shop elsewhere, and go with company that actually services what they sell and stands behind the products they sell. oh, and they no longer sell samsung....no suprise. only 1 star, because can't give zero.

Additionally Jason(Alpine) charged me for four(4) mini-splits and I only recieved three(3) and one(1) condenser. Jason came to my home and I complained to him about mini-splits turn on in the off position. He(jason) stated he would put in a work request ASAP. Had a scare last night with the carbon monoxide detectors going off. We had Columbia Gas come out…read moreand they said it was probably the boiler or some sort of venting issue. We left for the night and called Baystate Comfort this morning (between 7am- 8am). James was at our home between 8:30-9am!! He was able to repair the issue, but warned us that our furnace is on borrowed time. He was very knowledgeable while explaining the process of a replacement and how it would benefit our home. He also was patient answering all of our questions about other options (routine maintenance, duct tape, prayers, etc :). In the end, he will be sending us a quote for a new furnace and hot water heater in one system, and we are working on setting up a game to pay for it. Thank you, James, for making us feel as ease with the no more carbon monoxide and moving forward with a new system!

I couldn't be happier with my new system, and with the service Ryan and his workers installed and provided. I would recommend him for any service or installation needs. He is very personable and explained everything to me in detail.

I have their service plan, and for a reasonable price they come out and take care of the HVAC components on a regular basis. The technicians have always been straightforward with me, and I've had zero problems with everything except a whole-house humidifier, which needed to be replaced and re-routing of the drain hose, and they stuck with the problem until it was taken care of. They've always been responsive, and have a collection of great techs who are polite, respectful of property, and friendly. I would recommend them for sure.

There was no follow-up call, no accountability, and terrible communication throughout the entire process. They also repeatedly cancel appointments, even when those appointments were scheduled more than five months in advance. It is incredibly frustrating to wait that long only to have the company fail to follow through. Those were for HVAC maintenance and to follow up on things they'd recommended. What they are good at is trying to sell customers their "360 Membership," which feels completely useless if the company cannot reliably show up and perform the work they were hired to do. For the prices they charge, I expected professionalism and competent service, not delays, excuses, and dismissive attitudes. All of the smiles and friendliness disappear the moment you call them out on their inefficiencies or lack of follow-through. To be fair, it is possible the company has simply grown too large and can no longer provide the level of service they may have once intended to offer. Unfortunately, that does not change the customer experience. The only positive part of my experience was the professionalism of two technicians, Louis and Brian, who were respectful and genuinely knowledgeable.
