This was due to the exterior structure of the home and electrical limitations. I appreciated the knowledgeable and thorough explanation of why this couldn't be accomplished. They did, however, indicate that they would at least able to provide service to the first floor only and provided a quote for that.

march 28, 2026 -- buyer beware!!! alpine heat pumps does not stand behind the products they sell…read more 18 months after purchase, major components failure of the compressor and inverter pcb board. best they could do was, we could get out there in maybe 2 weeks, why don't you try calling.....maybe they can help. alpine's representative had the nerve after it was diagnosed by another company as a known c464 failure problem with samsung to say, "well every now and then you get a bad one, but the parts are covered!" 18 months and a major failure, and we're supposed to come up with another $1,500 to $2,000 for labor and freon. so, they don't service what they sell, moreover, don't stand behind the product they recommended. not to mention that as part of mass save had to have our furnace disconnected and we are stll without heat (april 7) in half the house...tonights low expected to be 25 degrees! going on a week and half of 50% heat, not expected to maybe be repaired on the 14th. they were responsive in taking my $28,000 for the system, and now they will not respond! poor customer service! they take your money and move on! shop elsewhere, and go with company that actually services what they sell and stands behind the products they sell. oh, and they no longer sell samsung....no suprise. only 1 star, because can't give zero.

I knew of his reputation from a heating help board I had been on in the past and knew he was the guy I wanted for my install. When Gary says he'll be there at 7am you better believe him. He showed up on time and went right to work. His lead plumber came shortly after and drove what I'd call a mobile plumbing shop. These guys don't mess around, they had every tool and fitting imaginable and I couldn't have been more impressed, except for the fact they were heads down all business the whole time they were here. Gary was here from 7am to 6:30pm and spent the time to make sure everything was perfect and that I knew all of the features available before he left. The quality of the work was beyond impressive and we couldn't be happier! Btw, the boiler is a Viessmann and it's awesome, I can monitor it from my phone and on a recent trip I was able to lower the domestic hot water while we were away which saved us gas.

We left for the night and called Baystate Comfort this morning (between 7am- 8am). James was at our home between 8:30-9am!! He was able to repair the issue, but warned us that our furnace is on borrowed time. He was very knowledgeable while explaining the process of a replacement and how it would benefit our home. He also was patient answering all of our questions about other options (routine maintenance, duct tape, prayers, etc :). In the end, he will be sending us a quote for a new furnace and hot water heater in one system, and we are working on setting up a game to pay for it. MAN was I in for a ride. 6 months after they installed a brand new system I receive a notice that while my equipment will be covered under warranty, they will not offer any maintenance / service because they have made the decision to service only Mitsubishi Heat Pumps. So much for this company being right down the street... Fast forward to January 2025 and it's been COLD! I call to verify that I'm still under warranty and how quickly can they come out because I have NO HEAT. This was on a Wednesday morning... the soonest they could come out was two days later on Friday afternoon. Bob showed up and was nice enough. He diagnosed the system right away and found that the furnace was not getting any propane to the burners. He would order the part's and call me back from the office to inform me on their availability and when I could expect him to return to complete the repair. Not only did he not call back, when I spoke to Jennifer in the office she informed me that it would be the following Tuesday AT BEST before they would get the necessary parts and she could pencil me in for service on the follow Wednesday morning if I would like.
