Our server was really pushy/unfriendly but the food was pretty good. The atmosphere was also very nice. This is my second visit here and I will definitely be back. The first time I came to see a band and have drinks and this time I wanted to come back to try the food. Definitely impressed. read more

So.... The beer is good and atmosphere are good, that's about it. I have been here a couple of times, each time for a friend's birthday. I do have to say the service is usually great, no complaints there. The food is where the 3 stars comes into play. Its just "ok". My favorite menu item is the HUGE fresh pretzel and the dips/mustards it comes with. It is really really good. Adult beverages: Really good in-house beers... with the option to be served in a giant glass boot. Fun.... and yes... I have had many many beers here :) Atmosphere: Fun and a good option if you are with a group of friends who want to go out for some adult beverages. read more

Enjoyed myself. food was good and the beer was strong.. Upon pulling into the parking lot they had the Polka band playing in the street welcoming guests. I thought that was cool.. Band trio later came inside to play.. The place was full at the outside bar area for happy hour. The atmosphere was nice and the food was good but I have had better tasting German food elsewhere. It didn't have that traditional home cooked meal taste although it was tasty. I will come back again and recommend checking it out as the overall experience was pleasant. read more

Biergarten - Schnitzel (veal) - German Near Me - Boca Raton, Florida

We happened by this place while in Boca Raton on business. This is an authentic German restaurant/beer garden. We were driving and skipped on the beer, but the German food was very tasty and reasonably priced. I would definitely try it again when I am in town. read more

You have to try their pretzel appetizer! It is warm and so yummy! We came here on a Saturday for lunch and it was almost empty. The place is so nice and they have alot of specials going on during the week. Service was great and quick. We were immediately seated. The girls are all dressed up and look super cute. I ordered the Bratwurst. My boyfriend ordered the Wurst platter. It is a combination of knockwurst, bratwurst, kielbasa, sauerkraut and potato cake. It was perfect for him since he doesn't eat bread. It is such a mans dish. My bf mother order the Kasespatzle and she said it was the best she had ever had. She ate it all. I definitely want to come here again. Monday's they have $1 dollar Brat! Make sure to stop by here!! read more

"Just OK" My wife had the German Pierogies pastrami, red cabbage, cheddar cheese filled dumplings, caramelized onions, sour cream, good not great. I had the Bratwurst coarsely ground veal and pork sausage seasoned with marjoram topped with imported sauerkraut and grain mustard which came with French fries. Good but very small. read more

Oh my, I'm part German and always on the hunt for Northern German food. This isn't exactly what I would call Northern German, but it's so charmingly decorated and the food is so good that I am happy as a lark knowing I have another option for my list. We had the basics, uh, potatoe pancakes with apples and sour cream, sourbraten with a ginger glaze, lambwurst, spatzles, brats, knodels, saurkraut with a gingersnap reduction (demi glace), spatzles in a Gruyere cream sauce, apple struedel, red cabbage, potatoe salad. The service was spot on perfect and the help delightful. During dinner I heard "God Bless America" playing, my my my, most unusual and nice. I'll comment on the decor. It wasn't over the top, just fun and handsome. "I shall return!" read more

This is a great place in Boca for a great German beer and food. Wait staff is always friendly and nice. I come on Fridays for the $1 oysters special! The worst part of this place is the very load house music. It a blend of crap and heavy metal. I have stopped going as long as Eric (Mgr) plays his terrible choice of music. He has no regard for patrons ears. Otherwise I'd rate the place 5 stars. read more

Only been there a few times for their Monday night $2 brat special. Have tried the spaetzle too. My mother used to make it homemade when we were young. Both were good. read more

Awesome food and great location. The menu has so many options with great value ! Oh can't forget the beer selection :)

This is one of the last based places where common sense and quality of service matters. I salute the brave owner and recommend everyone go and enjoy a beer and a schnitzel being served by a wonderful waitress with a big smile that you can actually see!! I won't be visiting establishments that force their employees to wear a gross face diaper. I'd rather go here. read more

So I had a doctors appointment on Monday in the area and we were really hungry after being there most of the afternoon. I've always wanted to try Biergarten so why not on a Monday? Wow am I happy that we did. On Monday they have $1 brats (with the purchase of a beverage). These are full size sausages on a roll and it's not only brats you can choose from it's an assortment - chicken apple brat, knockworst (aka giant hotdog), kielbasa, frankfurter (aka hotdog), and something called currywurst. Toppings are $1.50 which you can get on the side and each topping is enough for two. We started with a regular brat and a chicken apple brat and a topping of sauerkraut on the side. The brats were delicious and the sauerkraut was as well - really cooked and seasoned in a typical German fashion. I of course had to order a dinner because I really wanted to try the food here - I went with a chicken wiener schnitzel which came out as two fried chicken cutlets with butter sautéed spaetzle and red cabbage. The chicken was just good - nothing special but the spaetzle and red cabbage were delicious. I asked for gravy to go over the chicken (like a jaeger gravy) but it was more like a mushroom au jus - very thin not gravy like at all. Portion was large I took half home. They have a huge bier menu and the mugs come out frosted and ice cold. I didn't have any as I wasn't drinking for this meal but definitely want to come back and try some cold bier and appetizers that look pretty interesting. From what I understand they have a different food special nightly but to me, you cannot beat the $1 brats. Atmosphere here feels very "German" with dark woods and the servers in Bavarian like dress (the girls more sexy Bavarian). Their menu says beer, brats and bands so I imagine on a Friday or Saturday night the atmosphere is quite different, younger crowd and fun. read more

Beer was amazing. And food was delicious. Felt like I was in Germany. The atmosphere is definitely comparable

Hot pretzel. BAM. They nail it...be sure to Oder the bier cheese with it. Brats are great too, and their wedge salad is classically Devine. Great spot for casual chilling out. read more

This was original review from almost a year ago. "Nasty attitude from the bartenders like they were doing you a favor and the beer was free. I stopped going here a year ago." _______________ UPDATED 2017 - Review today 5/27/2017 5:30pm After a year that I haven't been here I went back to have a Franzisnaker after very negative experience I had. In my mind sense of business man, if I have a negative review and a customer comes back, I will go out of my way to assist that customer so this black spot will change in their review. I was there around 5:30pm and the manager after a year on duty recognize me on the spot. He told me in lame terms that after my negative review, he asks me to leave which I did to prevent the Boca Police to be called from trespassing. Funny, a year "earlier" I was harassed by two of his bartenders and I left and no one did anything about it??? What kind of a business is this? A place where you are not taking negative review and when you do you are told to leave the premises??? THE HALF A...MANAGER with .025 of sense of business/BRAIN told me to leave. Me being a business man, if I did anything wrong, I would talk to the person coming BACK and apologize for any wrong that was done and then persuade the person to change their review. It didn't happen here. That is my professional sense of Customer Service/Business. I called them back on the phone TODAY!!! after what happened and I believe the manager on duty hanged up. I called called him again and he told me to "F...OFF" and he hanged up on me" This German restaurant should be in Liberty City, Lauderhill, Overtown or bad neighborhood in a scary bad neighborhood where this kind of activity is EXPECTED. Not in a classy area that Boca Raton is supposed to be. At the end of the day, I also of out of personal respect and dignity, I walked out. NOTE - MR. MANAGER and MR. OWNER - You should take NEGATIVE REVIEWS as a way to REDEEM your BUSINESS, not kicking people out when they go there MONTHS LATER!!!. MR. OWNER - You have a business just like CHECKERS OLD MUNCHEN ran buy half ass managers that do not know how to handle their business, BUT know to take their money. BIERGARTEN and CHECKERS OLD MUNCHEN are an embarrassment as a business and a shame to the POMPANO BEACH and BOCA RATON area. MR. OWNER and HALF A... MANAGER - if you think you had a BAD review. Take a load of this one. They are VERY LUCKY they are getting ONE STAR. I will give them -200 for their nasty unprofessional behavior. I thought that SOUTH BEACH and FT. LAUDERDALE treatment by bars was very bad, these two establishments are doing business WAY OFF BASE!!!!! RAY ST JOHN 5/27/207 read more

Fun place, good food! We went there with another couple and had a great time! There was live music and a lively crowd and our food and beverages were great! I would recommend Biergarten for a different evening and a good time! read more

Ladies beware! I was there last night, and a woman was drugged, it was a scary moment when I asked the waitress if they called an ambulance and she said "no, our managers don't allow us to call the cops or an ambulance "! Are u f-ing kidding me?! This poor woman looks like she's going to die and u can't call an ambulance!? The waitress said you can call if you want, so I took matters into my own hands and called for an ambulance, I guess it was her friends husband that picked her up and carried her out to a near by cop car. FYI, that woman walked past me three times and was fine, an hour later she was on the floor. Ladies, regardless of age please don't take any drinks from anyone you don't know!! These men down here are disgusting!! Grown men acting like losers having to drug women! But this establishment having a rule of not helping someone is unacceptable! Drugged or not she was having a medical emergency and the staff did NOTHING TO HELP, even the bartender seemed to be annoyed that she was getting attention and no one was ordering drinks! read more

Been meaning to come here for a long time now. We frequent plenty of other places in the plaza but just never made our way across the parking lot to Beirgarten. A shame because I like beer and German food. Well I'm glad to report that everything was really good if not great The atmosphere is a little kitschy and definitely screams Bavaria. Waitresses doing their best St Pauli Girl impressions....Cuckoo clocks on the walls....forest like setting. GREAT beer selection but I had to go German so had a Warsteiner Dunkel draft. Mmmmmm good We started with the big pretzel as an app and it was very good as were the accompanying mustards and cheeses. I would have liked the pretzel a little warmer though as it was merely room temperature if that I had the pork schnitzel which was good but I've had better. The sweet n sour cabbage and herbed spaetzel it came with were also good though the spaetzel could have used more seasoning. Wife had a chicken sandwich and she said it was good. She got the cabbage instead of fries and loved the cabbage For dessert we Had the homemade apple strudel which was outstanding with the vanilla ice cream Service was excellent and friendly and we got to enjoy some live music to boot! Can't wait to go back! read more

Never had any food here. I came hoping to find a true beer garden place. Not that many German beers to select from. The have liters and a boot, but you have to buy the boot first ($39 with a pour). Not really a beer garden like I've experienced in other cities where you have a loooong bar and tap selection of German beers and communal benches etc. More like a nominal German bar/sports bar that doesn't quite measure up, I'd rather go to YardHouse. read more

LMAO where do I begin. Not only was all of the food DEAD ASS COLD, but my friend and I split our meal...the check comes back without my credit card... the waitress blames me for misplacing my card. The illiterate idiot then "uses her flashlight to check for my card" comes back with nothing. I came straight from work and me and my coworkers had to check on OUR OWN to find our card. Of course the idiot waitress dropped it on the floor. The manager was completely irresponsive and tried to blame the missing card on me. Yet the card was by the POS??? Hahahahaha idiots. This place is actually full of incompetent people. It's really sad. I think they hire base on lack of knowledge or below average IQS - in any sense, I'll never come back :) read more

Stopped by here with a few friends late one evening after everyone got off work and ordered a few drinks and some late night bar food. When we got there it was almost 12 midnight so the kitchen was about to close. So we put in a food order and got right to it. It was a night where burgers were only $5 each so we all ordered burgers. It came with a good amount of fries and a pickle too. I also ordered a large jumbo pretzel for the table to share. It was really good and it came with 4 different types of dipping sauces l, my favorite which is the beer cheese sauce. Overall the experience was pretty good, just nothing amazing though. read more

Ariel was out server on a Thursday afternoon , she was very friendly and greeted us right away . My gf got a vodka tonic and I got the south Florida rum punch, very refreshing and not very strong . We started off with the giant pretzels it comes with four sauces one was yellow mustard, sweet spicy ,dijion, and cream cheese mustard . The classics yellow mustard was classic , my favorite was the cream cheese spread. Appetizer we got the Bavarian flatbread $12 it has smoked prosciutto, caramelized onions , goat cheese , tomatoes And arugula. The pizza was so Crispy and had an amazing flavor with the prosciutto and goat cheese! We also got the steak tacos and fish tacos ! Yum!!!The atmosphere is awesome with cool vibes in the inside and a homey interior with a hint of out in the woods. The vibe here is cool and refreshing compared to the places around it . I will definitely be back! Thank you again to the staff and chefs here ! read more

Have enjoyed eating here a dozen times over the years, today being the exception. Beer great, waitress as well.....but the service not so much. Not very busy, 5:00PM on a Saturday. The food ( steak sliders and Corned beef sliders) were not out after 30 minutes. Our waitress checked on the order several times. Approaching 40 minutes, I said ...If our meal isn't served in 2 minutes, please cancel it and bring our check. The meal never arrived. The manager was pretty much unapologetic, and only offered to take the meal off of our bill....seriously? It would have been nice if he offered to pay for our drinks, or any other accommodation. read more

We just tried to go here and the maskless bartender told us not to wear masks. She had a nasty attitude and we asked for a minute to look at the menu. She walked away shaking her head so we got up and left. It's a shame since we work in the industry and tip very well. read more

The service was very quick and polite. But....the food was very poor. I had veal schnitzel. It was bland, not tender, dry, and 22$. The spetzle had no sauce, and was also exceedingly bland. Would not return. Again, the staff was kind, but boy, that was the worst 77$ meal for two i have had in a while. read more

I had the best service. Our server, Violet, was the sweetest and recommended the most amazing beer. Can't wait to come back.

Biergarten recently opened here in Boca and today we went for girls work lunch! One of my workmates said it reminded her of Epcot with the waitresses decked out like the St. Paulie Girl. Very fun atmosphere and since it was an absolutely gorgeous SoFla afternoon we sat outside. The menu has enough of a selection to please most. Two of us got the steak sliders which had a horseradish sauce and fried onion strings. I'm picky but this was a fabulous combination of super tender beef, sauce & strings! Our other table mate got the Italian sausage which comes with peppers & onions and a side of fries, she thoroughly enjoyed her meal too. We only had two disappointments: 1. that we did not order the pretzel (which is huge and may be a meal in itself) & 2. that we had to go back to work so did not order beer! The food is very enjoyable and they make their own ketchup (that's right MAKE) it has a very tomato-ey taste and is not as sweet at your ordinary store bought brands but is very tasty. Our waitress did say there is no in-between on it though you either love it or hate it. I will definitely be going back for more. read more

I'm a huge fan. Saturday night and the band was rocking out. The beer menu is long and you'll need some time to choose ... or just win with a pint or even better, a liter of Spaten Oktoberfest. We sat outside and ordered the Farmer's Feast: smoked pork, two types of salami, sliced munster cheese, baguette rolls, sauerkraut, potato salad, and whole grain mustard. This plate was delicious ... the mustard was superb, as was the potato salad, and I ate the entire side of sauerkraut by myself! Our table also enjoyed the wings and bunch of pigs (atypical pigs in a blanket). The German Pierogies sounded fantastic, so I'll be back to try these soon, as well as one of those large hanging pretzels. I liked their variety of brat weekday happy hour specials, even though I don't really eat bratwurst. This menu was enticing and the atmosphere was excellent for a laid back breezy night of fun. Definitely one of my new favorite spots! read more

Eh not much here, good atmosphere but unless you want to pay $14 for a small chicken sandwich, and also my biggest problem with this German restaurant is no Ruben on the menu. Good beers on selection and tap but very highly priced. Not sure if I'll come back but the service was good. read more

Sort of a combo sport bar-biergarten with a pretty good assortment of German specialties. There are three kinds of schnitzels and my friend had the veal while I had the pork. Not too bad but thin on the meat inside the breading. Nice selection of German and other beers. As there is no authentic German pub around, this will do. read more

Extremely rude service, felt uncomfortable the entire time my party was here, as if they couldn't be bothered with us and really not sure why? The food here isn't truly authentic German food. I've been a few times at night and they always had a loud cover band or some kind of live music happening and it just reminds me of a "German" themed version of Dubliner. The beers are more german than most bars and they also have a boot. I have had the pretzel, the bratwurst and I'm not totally blown away by it. The atmosphere is nice but it's nothing like the german places in Oakland Park and Ft. Lauderdale are. There's an outside bar and I even brought my German club here in college and they weren't impressed but they weren't upset about the food either. If you want real German food, I would make my way to Cypress Nook or The Ambry. If you like to feel german and also party at Mizner, I would come to Biergarten. I mean, at least they dress up in Liederhosen, right? read more

Came on Monday evening and met with a very small group. They have a good happy hour (select $4 drafts), plus $1 brats on Mondays. Unfortunately they were out of several of the beers I requested from their menu. The brats come plain, toppings other than mustard are extra. They're decent size, nice rolls. A guy at my table ordered some fries with beer cheese and I noticed they really skimped on the cheese. Service was fine. I'd return but only on another Monday for the $1 brats. read more

Ordered the pretzel. Thanks yelp for the tip. Came out hot and fresh. Plus it came with 3 dips: butter, mustard, and spicy/sweet mustard. Ordered the wings- ok, steak sliders- chewy and not too good, French fries- the best food there!, 3 sausage plate- eh...tasted like Vienna sausage and too much salt. Beer- ordered the wells banana bread. Very tasty! The waitress told us to go to yard house a few blocks down for their beer menu- more choices. Live band was great! read more

Great heffenweisen, authentic German Biergarten with the manager straight from Germany. Excellent Bratwursts served with great first rate toppings. I recommend adding the authentic spatzle as a side Instead of fries as their spatzle its first rate and delicious. I was an exchange student in Germany at that age when drinking is always fun. I developed a taste for beer there. My favorite was the beer in Munich, they take a Hefe and add a carbonated lemonade. Which on a warm day is so refreshing. I hadn't had one in many years, and I was so happy when I ordered one here. It was exactly as it should be. The best accompaniment to my Shandy was the pretzel bigger than my head. Sometimes you get those and they are dried out of gummy - this pretzel was heavenly! To make the night even more perfect we were there on a Friday night when a good cover band Pandia was playing. So tasty beer, yummy pretzel and good music - the best Friday night! Probably one of my favorite places in the Mizner/ Royal Palm area. Ever since new management has taken over the place is clearly run a lot more smooth and efficient. I will say that the food and beers can get a little pricey, but it's only because the quality is so high. Because it can get a little expensive it is better to come during their happy hour 3-7 and 4-close (2AM). they unfortunately do not have happy hour on Saturdays or Friday nights but to make up for it happy hour is ALL DAY Sunday. Great Sunday funday spot. There are also food specials that differ everyday, I highly recommended $1 Brat Mondays, 2-4-1 Schnitzel Tuesday, or $5 Burger Wednesday. Best deals in town! If you happen to sit at the bar, always request Brett or Brian. Friendly guys, they know about all the beers and food, and genuinely nice people. You can't really go wrong with any servers. I am currently being waited on by Jenna and she's amazing. This place is great for a fun Friday night out, a casual family dinner, or a Sunday funday lunch! read more
