So.... The beer is good and atmosphere are good, that's about it. I have been here a couple of times, each time for a friend's birthday. I do have to say the service is usually great, no complaints there. The food is where the 3 stars comes into play. Its just "ok". My favorite menu item is the HUGE fresh pretzel and the dips/mustards it comes with. It is really really good. Band trio later came inside to play.. The place was full at the outside bar area for happy hour. The atmosphere was nice and the food was good but I have had better tasting German food elsewhere. You have to try their pretzel appetizer! It is warm and so yummy! We came here on a Saturday for lunch and it was almost empty. The place is so nice and they have alot of specials going on during the week. Service was great and quick. We were immediately seated. The girls are all dressed up and look super cute. I ordered the Bratwurst. My boyfriend ordered the Wurst platter. It is a combination of knockwurst, bratwurst, kielbasa, sauerkraut and potato cake. It was perfect for him since he doesn't eat bread. It is such a mans dish. My bf mother order the Kasespatzle and she said it was the best she had ever had. She ate it all. I definitely want to come here again. Monday's they have $1 dollar Brat! Oh my, I'm part German and always on the hunt for Northern German food. This isn't exactly what I would call Northern German, but it's so charmingly decorated and the food is so good that I am happy as a lark knowing I have another option for my list. We had the basics, uh, potatoe pancakes with apples and sour cream, sourbraten with a ginger glaze, lambwurst, spatzles, brats, knodels, saurkraut with a gingersnap reduction (demi glace), spatzles in a Gruyere cream sauce, apple struedel, red cabbage, potatoe salad. The service was spot on perfect and the help delightful. During dinner I heard "God Bless America" playing, my my my, most unusual and nice. I'll comment on the decor. I salute the brave owner and recommend everyone go and enjoy a beer and a schnitzel being served by a wonderful waitress with a big smile that you can actually see!! So I had a doctors appointment on Monday in the area and we were really hungry after being there most of the afternoon. I've always wanted to try Biergarten so why not on a Monday? Wow am I happy that we did. On Monday they have $1 brats (with the purchase of a beverage). These are full size sausages on a roll and it's not only brats you can choose from it's an assortment - chicken apple brat, knockworst (aka giant hotdog), kielbasa, frankfurter (aka hotdog), and something called currywurst. Toppings are $1.50 which you can get on the side and each topping is enough for two. We started with a regular brat and a chicken apple brat and a topping of sauerkraut on the side. The brats were delicious and the sauerkraut was as well - really cooked and seasoned in a typical German fashion. I of course had to order a dinner because I really wanted to try the food here - I went with a chicken wiener schnitzel which came out as two fried chicken cutlets with butter sautéed spaetzle and red cabbage. The chicken was just good - nothing special but the spaetzle and red cabbage were delicious. I asked for gravy to go over the chicken (like a jaeger gravy) but it was more like a mushroom au jus - very thin not gravy like at all. Portion was large I took half home. They have a huge bier menu and the mugs come out frosted and ice cold. I didn't have any as I wasn't drinking for this meal but definitely want to come back and try some cold bier and appetizers that look pretty interesting. From what I understand they have a different food special nightly but to me, you cannot beat the $1 brats. Atmosphere here feels very "German" with dark woods and the servers in Bavarian like dress (the girls more sexy Bavarian). Their menu says beer, brats and bands so I imagine on a Friday or Saturday night the atmosphere is quite different, younger crowd and fun. read more

Fun place, good food! We went there with another couple and had a great time! There was live music and a lively crowd and our food and beverages were great! The pretzel with beer/cheese sauce is not to be missed! We tried several of the German dishes and enjoyed them and their beer selection is very good. I was there last night, and a woman was drugged, it was a scary moment when I asked the waitress if they called an ambulance and she said "no, our managers don't allow us to call the cops or an ambulance "! Are u f-ing kidding me?! This poor woman looks like she's going to die and u can't call an ambulance!? The waitress said you can call if you want, so I took matters into my own hands and called for an ambulance, I guess it was her friends husband that picked her up and carried her out to a near by cop car. Been meaning to come here for a long time now. We frequent plenty of other places in the plaza but just never made our way across the parking lot to Beirgarten. A shame because I like beer and German food. Well I'm glad to report that everything was really good if not great The atmosphere is a little kitschy and definitely screams Bavaria. Waitresses doing their best St Pauli Girl impressions....Cuckoo clocks on the walls....forest like setting. GREAT beer selection but I had to go German so had a Warsteiner Dunkel draft. Mmmmmm good We started with the big pretzel as an app and it was very good as were the accompanying mustards and cheeses. I would have liked the pretzel a little warmer though as it was merely room temperature if that I had the pork schnitzel which was good but I've had better. The sweet n sour cabbage and herbed spaetzel it came with were also good though the spaetzel could have used more seasoning. Wife had a chicken sandwich and she said it was good. Never had any food here. I came hoping to find a true beer garden place. Not that many German beers to select from. The have liters and a boot, but you have to buy the boot first ($39 with a pour). Not really a beer garden like I've experienced in other cities where you have a loooong bar and tap selection of German beers and communal benches etc. More like a nominal German bar/sports bar that doesn't quite measure up, I'd rather go to YardHouse. read more

Stopped by here with a few friends late one evening after everyone got off work and ordered a few drinks and some late night bar food. When we got there it was almost 12 midnight so the kitchen was about to close. So we put in a food order and got right to it. It was a night where burgers were only $5 each so we all ordered burgers. It came with a good amount of fries and a pickle too. I also ordered a large jumbo pretzel for the table to share. It was really good and it came with 4 different types of dipping sauces l, my favorite which is the beer cheese sauce. Overall the experience was pretty good, just nothing amazing though. read more

Ariel was out server on a Thursday afternoon , she was very friendly and greeted us right away . My gf got a vodka tonic and I got the south Florida rum punch, very refreshing and not very strong . We started off with the giant pretzels it comes with four sauces one was yellow mustard, sweet spicy ,dijion,and cream cheese mustard . The classics yellow mustard was classic , my favorite was the cream cheese spread. Appetizer we got the Bavarian flatbread $12 it has smoked prosciutto, caramelized onions , goat cheese , tomatoes And arugula. The pizza was so Crispy and had an amazing flavor with the prosciutto and goat cheese! We also got the steak tacos and fish tacos ! Yum!!!The atmosphere is awesome with cool vibes in the inside and a homey interior with a hint of out in the woods. The vibe here is cool and refreshing compared to the places around it . Have enjoyed eating here a dozen times over the years, today being the exception. Beer great, waitress as well.....but the service not so much. Not very busy, 5:00PM on a Saturday. The food ( steak sliders and Corned beef sliders) were not out after 30 minutes. Our waitress checked on the order several times. Approaching 40 minutes, I said ...If our meal isn't served in 2 minutes, please cancel it and bring our check. The meal never arrived. The manager was pretty much unapologetic, and only offered to take the meal off of our bill....seriously? Extremely rude service, felt uncomfortable the entire time my party was here, as if they couldn't be bothered with us and really not sure why? Immediately upon entering told us " you don't need masks here". Biergarten recently opened here in Boca and today we went for girls work lunch! One of my workmates said it reminded her of Epcot with the waitresses decked out like the St. Paulie Girl. Very fun atmosphere and since it was an absolutely gorgeous SoFla afternoon we sat outside. The menu has enough of a selection to please most. Two of us got the steak sliders which had a horseradish sauce and fried onion strings. I'm picky but this was a fabulous combination of super tender beef, sauce & strings! Our other table mate got the Italian sausage which comes with peppers & onions and a side of fries, she thoroughly enjoyed her meal too. We only had two disappointments: 1. that we did not order the pretzel (which is huge and may be a meal in itself) & 2. that we had to go back to work so did not order beer! The food is very enjoyable and they make their own ketchup (that's right MAKE) it has a very tomato-ey taste and is not as sweet at your ordinary store bought brands but is very tasty. Our waitress did say there is no in-between on it though you either love it or hate it. I will definitely be going back for more. read more

I'm a huge fan. Saturday night and the band was rocking out. The beer menu is long and you'll need some time to choose ... or just win with a pint or even better, a liter of Spaten Oktoberfest. We sat outside and ordered the Farmer's Feast: smoked pork, two types of salami, sliced munster cheese, baguette rolls, sauerkraut, potato salad, and whole grain mustard. This plate was delicious ... the mustard was superb, as was the potato salad, and I ate the entire side of sauerkraut by myself! Our table also enjoyed the wings and bunch of pigs (atypical pigs in a blanket). The German Pierogies sounded fantastic, so I'll be back to try these soon, as well as one of those large hanging pretzels. I liked their variety of brat weekday happy hour specials, even though I don't really eat bratwurst. This menu was enticing and the atmosphere was excellent for a laid back breezy night of fun. Probably one of my favorite places in the Mizner/ Royal Palm area. Ever since new management has taken over the place is clearly run a lot more smooth and efficient. I will say that the food and beers can get a little pricey, but it's only because the quality is so high. Because it can get a little expensive it is better to come during their happy hour 3-7 and 4-close (2AM). they unfortunately do not have happy hour on Saturdays or Friday nights but to make up for it happy hour is ALL DAY Sunday. Great Sunday funday spot. There are also food specials that differ everyday, I highly recommended $1 Brat Mondays, 2-4-1 Schnitzel Tuesday, or $5 Burger Wednesday. Best deals in town! If you happen to sit at the bar, always request Brett or Brian. Friendly guys, they know about all the beers and food, and genuinely nice people. You can't really go wrong with any servers. So unless the doubles are made of rainbows and unicorns, and the tacos are made of crack and gold, somebody is clearly overpaying to eat here. My drinks (two delicious Rekordeligs) only costed 15....which is much more reasonable. But I avoid eating here because I'm avoiding debt right now. More to discuss, the atmosphere here is very boring. There is no energy among the staff, little effort is made to connect with patrons, and the cleanliness is merely acceptable. I guess that might not be accurate based off three or four visits, but none of those have left me with the impression that they'd a)like to see me again, or b)knew I came in at all in the first place. But busy people they must be, so forgiveness is granted. This paragraph alone would have left them at 4 stars at best. The good parts are: They have damn good beer selection; they have plenty of staff so you don't have to flag someone down for ten minutes if you need something; the food is delicious; the spot is busy but not overwhelmingly so; and sometimes you get a cute waitress. I was at this restaurant yesterday and had the beef and cheese empanadas along with the bratwurst and red cabbage. That was at 1pm. By 10pm I was throwing up and had major diarrhea. Food poisoning. It was easy to pin point the culprit as we only had lunch yesterday. Today Sunday I have spent the day with a fever and chills. I can keep water down now but not much else. I strongly suggest checking your food prep practices so other clients don't have my same experience. I'm also curious to see if anyone else got sick yesterday. read more

The food here isn't truly authentic German food. I've been a few times at night and they always had a loud cover band or some kind of live music happening and it just reminds me of a "German" themed version of Dubliner. The beers are more german than most bars and they also have a boot. I have had the pretzel, the bratwurst and I'm not totally blown away by it. The atmosphere is nice but it's nothing like the german places in Oakland Park and Ft. Lauderdale are. There's an outside bar and I even brought my German club here in college and they weren't impressed but they weren't upset about the food either. If you want real German food, I would make my way to Cypress Nook or The Ambry. If you like to feel german and also party at Mizner, I would come to Biergarten. What a great place! Excellent craft beers, food and service! BBQ chicken wings are delish and the yummy pretzel is the size of a hubcap (tip: get the beer cheese too!). Came on Monday evening and met with a very small group. They have a good happy hour (select $4 drafts), plus $1 brats on Mondays. Unfortunately they were out of several of the beers I requested from their menu. The brats come plain, toppings other than mustard are extra. They're decent size, nice rolls. A guy at my table ordered some fries with beer cheese and I noticed they really skimped on the cheese. Service was fine. I'd return but only on another Monday for the $1 brats. read more
