This review is for the Tequila Festival that was held in Mizner Park Amphitheater. This was my first time at this Tequila Festival and I must say, I was blown away. The sheer volume of vendors, not just for Tequila and Mezcal, but also rum, beer, chips, salsa, etc. that were present was simply overwhelming, in a good way. It simply was not humanly possible to taste even an ounce of every drink and expect to make it back on two feet. Next year I am going to have a game plan before I get in. But overall, it was an amazing game experience. I just wish I had the same alcohol tolerance as I did in my younger days. read more

Fun, medium-sized area for concerts and other events. Aside from the main seating/standing area there is terrace seating/standing area usually reserved for VIPs. I've been here a few times and there's always a good selection of bites and perfect poured cocktails. There's a free parking garage directly across the street and limited street parking available away from amphitheater. It's super cool to have a 3000 seat amphitheater in Boca. I've seen 3 shows here, UB40, a "Battle of the Bands" and today I saw Weezer. I love the fact that we get these kinds of shows so close to home. The city also does a nice job getting food vendors in, so there was a decent amount of options to choose from. We had burgers, a Philly cheesesteak, churros and all were reasonably good for a concert venue. The staff working the event were pretty friendly and respectful. That said, the seats here are brutally uncomfortable. They're like plastic bridge chairs with zero lower back support (yes I'm old) and they are so narrow, you're literally right on top of your neighbor. So bad. Also, I don't know what it is about this venue, but the way it's designed get's zero airflow despite being outdoors. I've been to many outdoor venues and none get as hot or stuffy as Mizner Park Amphitheater. Finally, whomever is in charge of this venue, please book more major acts to play here! Having Weezer play was completely awesome and I'm sure Boca residents would love to see more rock acts here. read more

We paid a substantial amount for tickets to see BrittFloyd. When it began to rain the morning before the concert we looked for information regarding a refund or credit for the tickets. It said rain or shine and that there was a cover in place in case it rained. Well, we got there. There was no cover anywhere and no umbrellas were allowed. (I have a compromised respiratory immune system, getting wet and cold is dangerous for me). It wasn't raining when we got there however ALL the tiny, zip tied, seats had puddles of water on them. We found a way to dry them off the best we could. Half way into the concert it began to rain. We took off out of there and our pants were soaked (we did bring a rain jacket). I WILL never go to another event here and be sure to tell alll of my concert going friends what is happening there. At least Pompano Amphitheater has a cover!!! Why doesn't the city council take some of that tax payer money and put a cover on it??? 95% of the crowd was over 50 years old. Maybe... think of them. read more

I came here for a summer in the city concert (Fleetwood Mac Tribute Band)...it was great. You bring your own chairs and blanket and you can bring your own food and drink as well. It was well organized and so enjoyable. We were so happy to be outside on a beautiful evening, enjoying music and having fun!! read more

I love the mizner park amphitheater. The free and paid concerts are a GREAT time! Hope they continue doing free lawn concerts as this location becomes more popular. Only thing is sometimes the tech booth is set up reigns in the middle of the venue which is unfortunate at times. read more

This is a nice place to spend friday night out and listen to some nice music, saw Steve Miller band and Santana tribute band at the Mizner summer series concerts. you take your own chairs, but you can't take a cooler in there. You have to go through security, but they have vendors and they're selling drinks and food and it's free to go in and it's also free parking in the garages. read more

An absolutely amazing amphitheater that is super intimate when it comes to the space and distance from the stage for seats! I went recently with my wife to see Jason Mraz and our seats were more towards the back but still so close we could see his expressions and everything without the need for the big screens they were using. My main quip is they allow absolutely NO outside water bottles, making you spend their marked up price. In my opinion that's real shoddy because every arena and venue around here even allows water bottles. The staff was relatively friendly and a couple people stood out with helpfulness. The bathrooms were a little messy and the show/venue had only been open for an hour so I can't imagine how they were at the end of the night... The sound was amazing and the lighting was wonderful. I will definitely be back here again for another concert hopefully! read more

I have not been here for a concert since before Cvid hit. It was great to be back as this is a very nice, clean outdoor venue. During the summer they have free concerts on Friday nights and on other nights of the week they do have paid concerts that you can purchase tickets for online. We got to see a Prince cover band that was really great, sounded a lot like Prince. They do not allow food or drinks to be brought in and they are very careful about checking your bags for it. They do sell beer , Wine and Food in the amphitheater area. There are several parking garages in the Mizner Park area with plenty of free parking. read more

Went to this venue for the first time ever to see Jason Mraz in concert. This venue was great in regard to space and seating. I was pretty content with my view, even with having seats in the back. The only downside to this venue was not allowing outside water bottles even if sealed/unopened. I wouldn't mind if this were an indoor venue, but this is an outdoor venue in the Florida heat. My husband and I just chugged out water before so we'd at least be somewhat hydrated. Lol The staff was very friendly and helpful when assisting with finding our seats. I enjoyed this venue and look forward to coming back. read more

secutity is totally overboard / annoying so dont come unless you *really* want to see the event. it's one thing to get wanded, toss your water bottle & show the contents of your bag to come in, but another to be told you have to go back thru the line after entering the adjacent museum for a minute to let your kid hit the water fountain. every time i come here some power tripping security supervisor will have staff chase people down for innocuously dancing, standing where they don't want you to etc. Mizner should tell them to lay off or find a new security company -- there are already like 10 police here today -- for an FAU summer school orchestra performance w/ like 60 ppl in audience tops lmao read more

I don't frequent many of these amphitheaters due to ticket prices and having to sit in the back far from the stage. Well, tonight I was treated to an ABBA cover band concert with seats in the front!!! What a treat! After a fun Happy Hour, we arrived for their best performances during the second half.... we danced to our favorites.... Dancing Queen, Fernando, Mamma Mia, Take a Chance on Me! Absolutely get the front row tickets! A totally different experience than the lawn. Loved it! Best part for Mizner is the free parking in their two garages. Come early. read more

What a rip off!!! Do not buy a ticket for the Mizner Park Amphitheater. Get yourself a cooler and a lawnchair and go sit outside in the park across the street and listen to the band or the music you want to hear. This place is a colossal waste of money. Boca has a few archaic ordinances that are absolutely ridiculous. They sell tickets for rain or shine concerts but if there's the threat of rain, they cancel the show and you don't get your money back. read more

The Mizner Park Amphitheater was built in 2002. The stage is at the end and it has a concert green that hold 4,200 people. The City of Boca Raton took over ownership from the Schmidt Family Centre for the Arts in 2010 when the theater began to decline due to lack of funding. The city refurbished the venue which had begun to fall apart. Today the amphitheater hosts city, community, and cultural events, and concerts. I have been to the amphitheater for shows several times through the years. Some of my favorites were the No Snow Ball concert, the Festival of the Arts presentation of Indian Jones and the Temple of Doom with a live orchestra, and presentations by the Miami Shakespeare Company. It was a performance of Romeo and Juliet by the company that brought me out on a chilly Friday night. The amphitheater is a beautiful place to watch a performance. When the stars align and the weather is beautiful it is Florida perfection to sit under the stars and catch a show. There are tons of restaurants lining the avenue Mizner Park making it easy to get a bite before or after an event and the two large garages provide plenty of free parking. The down side is that the weather in Florida is fickle and there is no rain protection. It was quite cold on Friday night and we were sitting there freezing. By the intermission half of the people around me left. I tried to attend the Shakespeare production last year and performances were cancelled due to weather. The rest of the weekend looks like it is going to be a wash out so they may not be able to stage the other two nights. Another problem was a distraction during the show due to the loud music blaring from the nearby restaurants that threatened to drown out the actors at times. You could also hear cars gunning it and racing down the streets next to the amphitheater. Periodically I see articles pop up about developers wanting to turn the amphitheater in condos and apartments. With funding for the arts dwindling I am not sure how long the city will hold on on preserving the land. If you support the arts come out and see a show before the city decides to pave over another paradise and turn it into a parking lot. read more

4/22/2019- Event: VEGFEST 2019 This event is FREE admission with FREE parking. There were delicious and local plant-based food, food trucks and education about the benefits of healthy eating. There were a variety of vendors (over 80) selling yoga apparel, tea, essential oils, jewelry, and skincare. An area was designated for food trucks. That area had a little more dirt than grass. However they had trees towards the back that gave a nice shade. A lot of the vendors were given samples of food and teas. The food trucks were selling food. I had the best guacamole ever by Guaca Go. Also, I had vegan tacos by Catered Fit. Nabati, plant-based ice cream which is opening up in June in Wynwood was there offering samples as well as selling cups of their delicious ice cream. I had a mood enhancing tea from Nakava Bar in Boca Raton. On my way out I bought a Detox Water, bioactive aloe water, Mango flavor. It was very refreshing. The event was very well run. The staff from the amphitheater were nice and helpful. I would recommend coming to an event here. read more

I went for the Legends concert on 5/29/15. This was my first time at this venue. Make sure you show up 1.5 to 2 hours before your show to get parking. For our concert the gates opened at 7pm. We got some of the last garage parking spots at 5:30pm. All the restaurants were packed for happy hour prior to the show. We got in line at 6:45pm and didn't get into the venue until 7:20pm. They check bags and need to scan your ticket. There are porta-potties on one side and real restrooms on the east side of stage. There were many food vendors grilling up food on the east side. The beer and liquor lines were super long. There were no seats at this event. We had to stand the entire time. It was very crowded and if you walked around it took forever to get through the crowds. There is a VIP area on an upperdeck where you wouldn't need to deal with the crowds. Not sure if they have their own restrooms though. Overall, this venue was ok. You can hear the bands outside of the venue on the street and not have to deal with the crowd. You can not see the stage from outside the venue. read more

Oh Boy I think I have a favorite city now: Boca Raton I'm falling for you! Four solid and artistic stars to this wonderful venue. THANK YOU Mizer Park Amphitheater for our tickets to enjoy yesterday's exceptional concert. My daughter loves Postmodern Jukebox and when I saw the sweepstakes on Instagram I participated. We were extremely happy that we won. We parked in an indoor parking lot three blocks away and walk through the beautiful Mizner Park. As soon as we got there they had our free tickets on the will call table. We entered after the security checked our bags for safety. This was an outdoor concert and it was the second time we were there. Once again we loved it. The weather thankfully was fine, the restrooms were clean, they had food concessions where they sold; pizza, pretzels, BBQ, drinks and more. Prices were high but I was not surprised because it's always like that in all the concerts we go. They also had a merchandise booth selling the performer's stuff like shirts, CD and more. Our seats were amazing, we enjoyed so much the show and watch my daughter's happy face was priceless. The double feature of Postmodern Jukebox and Straight No Chaser was awesome, their voices, music and complete performance was great and so much fun. The sound and lighting was perfect and I appreciate it even more due to the fact that this was done in an open place. This was the worst entertainment experience ever. Went there fist time last night to see a Queen tribute band. Seated just as band started then a very bad storm came through. We were all seated under roof and the storm was whiteout rain and very serious lightening. Some totally irresponsible dumbass decided everyone should leave the safety of the building because it was unsafe, guess in Moron land it's better to stand in driving rain and open skies filled with lightening rather than under the shelter if a roof 30 feet above our heads. Speaking of heads obviously this person was dropped on her head as an infant. Unbelievable! Can you imagine if someone was hit by lightening standing outside because of that dumbass? Murder! I'd been to one other event at Mizner Amp and I had promised myself I'd never go there again. But I really wanted to see Brit Floyd. Last June we saw the band at the Fillmore in Miami. The Fillmore is an outstanding concert venue in the heart of S. Beach. The band, Brit Floyd does a great job with Pink Floyd's music. Mizner Park Amp is awful, from the tiny, cheap, whimpy, unbelievably uncomfortable plastic chairs zip tied together to the disgustingly filthy inadequate restrooms it's a concert goers nightmare. Many of the fans in the audience appear to believe the venue is a local bar. Shouting at each other in their seats to be heard over the band. Fans constantly leaving their seats repeatedly to buy more drinks. No respect for their neighbors or the band. Just an awful experience. Next week we see Peter Frampton at Hard Rock Live, the best concert facility in S. Florida. Now that's an awesome venue for concertgoers, they do it right. I've said it once before, but this time I really mean it. NEVER AGAIN! MIZNER PARK AMP sucks ...bigly. I'd give it zero stars if I could. read more

An amphitheater in an outdoor mall? Hmm, how's this going to work? Actually it's not too bad. I've been there once, but would definitely see another show there. It's not a huge location so pretty much any seat will be good. I love live music in an outdoor setting, but how fully the weather cooperates. They have the tradition crazy expensive alcoholic beverages any other pavilion or venue would have so I suggest drinking before hand. Oh and uber. If you don't uber you can park in the mall area but getting out is going to be a pain. If you uber walk down the street a bit and catch one on the main drag. The seats are ok. Basically plastic lawn chairs which gets uncomfortable after awhile, especially if the show is long. I think most shows offer a vip section. I'm not sure what it entails but if the seats are more comfortable or I don't have to stand the entire time then I'm in! read more

And they have Delivery Dudes available. We had them deliver us a pizza from Anthony's and there was only a $5 delivery charge.. can't beat that Led Zeppelin and pizza for under $25 bucks! read more

I came to see a show and the sow itself was great, however the venue was not. I paid $50 for standing section tickets and came to find that the view to the stage was blocked by the tech tent. I couldn't see a thing. In addition to that I am currently writing this review while waiting in the men's bathroom line. There is only ONE bathroom that has limited toilets. If your going to host a party you better make sure that you've got the room for it. I wish I could say I would come to an event here but I just don't think that even the cheapest ticket ($50) is worth it. I came to see the show. Wish I got the chance. read more

Those who did choose to stay in their seats had their view blocked by either children on shoulders or adults standing on chairs. Went to order a $4 diet coke, and none were cold. They offered me three melted pieces of ice to chill it with. Horrible experience. Will not be returning. read more

The amphitheater is located in Mizner Park, where you can get your shop on and/or grab a drink or bite to eat before or after a show. It is under cover, which makes it nice when there is inclement weather. I scored tickets for the Forte-Operatic Tenor Trio concert. THANK YOU YELP BPB! :D The show was fantastic. My friend and I enjoyed it. Josh Page, Sean Panikkar, and Fernando Varela has an amazing vocal talent. It was neat how they introduced themselves and shared their experience throughout the show on how they got to where they are. Three strangers coming together to take a shot on a show and performing across the country a few months later. Nice work guys! read more

I acquired some tickets to the Cirque de la Symphonie. I took my sister to the show. The show was absolutely amazing. We had such a great time. The things I like about this venue is that it is easy to get to as it is right in Mizner Park. It is surrounded by a variety of restaurants. Parking is easy as there are several garages and valet available. The only thing I don't like is that every time people walk up and down the isle it is distracting. I guess there is nothing that can be done as the way it is set up. Other than that the seating is easy. read more

Came here for the John Legend Concert last night. Excellent acoustics and clean area with several restaurants and shops around the amphitheater. The amphitheater is loud enough that several people were able to bring lawn chairs to sit outside the amphitheater or sit at one of the nearby restaurants with outdoor patio and hear him sing perfectly. Not a bad idea, if we had known that we probably would have done the same. :) There's metered parking, valet parking, parking in the field right next to the amphitheater for $20 and parking at the church across the street for $10. read more

Some great shows. Been here several times. One problem tonight and last night is that the structure makes a very annoying noise in the wind. It sounds like rocks being poured over a washboard. Couldn't find anyone to report the problem to during intermission. read more

I plan to avoid this venue if at all possible in the future. We were waved into a full parking garage by an attendant and spent 10 minutes driving up and back down before spending another 10 minutes in a valet line which was marked with a sign stating "Mizner Park Valet" before being told we could not park there if we were going to the concert and we had to move again. At the theatre itself the plastic chairs that make up the main concert seating areas were so uncomfortable that everyone in my party of 3 was in pain and we had to leave before the show was over. Also, instead of making a polite announcement about not video recording the show, the security guards were walking up and down the rows screaming at the top of their lungs over the performers not to record. read more

I've been to the amphitheater several times over the years and always enjoyed the shows there. Its getting two stars because of the location in Boca Raton and the acoustics which are both excellent. It's only getting two stars for two reasons--I was at the recent Steely Dan concert- We arrived 45 minutes before showtime and valet parking was full as was the garages.. We parked about 1/2 mile away from the venue. It took over an hour to find parking. I don't think they have enough parking for the people arriving for a sold out show. The second thing is our assigned seats were so close together that I was rubbing shoulders with the guy sitting next to me....(neither of us were over weight people either) It was an extremely humid evening, and was very uncomfortable. I won't be attending a concert there again. read more

The amphitheater itself is nice, but I'm not sure why they would sell a bunch of general admission standing tickets to a show when there is no place to stand. The entire place was filled up with chairs and the aisles had signs saying no standing in aisles. The staff was completely clueless about where people were supposed to stand and even seemed confused about the setup of the actual seating. Basically, the venue is pretty but run horribly. read more
