    Promoting my favorite hockey team!
    Rick M.

Growing up in the northeast, I've always been a big hockey fan, so discovering the Florida Panthers here in South Florida was a great surprise. The team was founded in 1993 and is now owned by Vincent Viola, who's clearly passionate about the franchise. They play at the Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise a great venue with an exciting atmosphere. The Panthers are very active in the community, supporting youth programs, education, and health initiatives. From their first Stanley Cup Finals as a very young teams appearance in 1996 to finally winning it last year, the team has shown amazing growth. This season, they've got a strong mix of experienced tuff guys and young talent definitely an exciting team to watch. If you're in South Florida, I highly recommend catching a game. It's a fun experience whether you're a longtime fan or new to the sport.

Action packed and a lot of fun! Be ready to hoot and hollar for our Florida Panthers! The night we went the game went into overtime and they won. So that in itself was exciting. Especially because we had out of town guests that had never experienced a hockey game. Parking can be far. So if you have someone that has challenges walking far, pay the extra to park closer. You can go big and purchase tickets for a full buffet/ seating, or you can purchase tickets last minute and go have fun. Either way you are guaranteed a great time! Go Panthers! Enjoy!

Florida Panthers ended the hockey season winning only one game in the Stanley Cup Finals. All we have to remember is June 8, 2023. It's been 30 years and I'm disappointed. I'm not going to give up hope that they will win the cup in my lifetime. At least in my daughters lifetime! She's a bigger fan than I am. So hockey season has ended and I'm moving on! There's always next season to look forward to.

My Yelp rating for the Florida Panthers is based purely on the team's performance. When you hover over the star ratings on Yelp, one star = "Not good." That's how the Panthers have performed since their founding in 1993: Not good. To put it in perspective, at the time of writing this review, out of the 31 active teams in the NHL, the Panthers: * Rank in the bottom third of all teams in points percentage. * Have only six playoff appearances in 27 seasons. No team has the same or less playoff appearances in as many or more seasons. * Have won zero Stanley Cup Finals. * Have won zero playoff series outside the year they advanced to the Stanley Cup Finals. Unfortunately, in Florida's only Stanley Cup Finals appearance (1996), the team got swept, 4-0, by the Colorado Avalanche. Game 2 was particularly dreadful as the Avs won in utterly dominating fashion, 8-1. Three Colorado players scored at least twice in that game. The only player to have his number retired by the team is goalie Roberto Luongo (No. 1). He had two stints in Florida: 2000-2006 and 2014-2019. As a Panther, Luongo made the NHL Second All-Star Team (2004) and was selected to the NHL All-Star Game three times (2004, 2015, 2016). In addition, he holds team records such as most shutouts in a season (7 in 2003-04) and most games played (318) and he holds the NHL record for most regular season overtime wins (49). The Panthers have played at BB&T Center since the arena opened in 1998 (then known as the National Car Rental Center). For hockey, it has a seating capacity of 19,250. For general parking, enter Gates 1, 2, 3, and 7. For garage and Lexus Premier parking, enter Gates 1, 5, and 6. For Club Lexus parking, enter Gate 2. Refer to this parking map: https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/florida-panthers-sunrise?select=mmpgxJ1u1qtDJeTU84HzGg. BB&T Center is located in Sunrise, part of the Miami metro area. It takes about 35-55 minutes to drive from Miami to Sunrise depending on traffic.

Always enjoy seeing the Panthers play. We had great seats and could see all the action We had the freshly carved turkey sandwichwhich was really good!.

What a fun game! We stopped here to see the Islanders play on our way down to the Keys, and it was great to see all of the fans from New York. We like to see hockey in different cities, and FLA puts on a good game. It looks like there are not any bad seats here. Parking is a little confusing if you are from out of town, but we figured it out by the time we left. We enjoyed some drinks at the tequila bar while we waited for the exiting traffic to leave. Every arena should do that.

    Go Panthers!! Thanks Yelp

Love love love going to the Florida panther games! It's fun, energizing and pure entertainment. The people that you get to meet and the amazing food you get to consume is worth it! The tickets are fairly priced. If you have a Lexus you can park in the Lexus lot for FREE! We all love free so that's a major perk especially when parking is $20+ Fun for all ages! Go check them out and support our local teams!

I grew up going to hockey games at the old Miami Arena. I always thought they were so much fun no matter where we sat. We recently won two tickets right on the glass behind the goal and it was probably one of the best experiences ever. Being that close to the action is awesome! Although the team didn't win I felt that the whole organization put on a great show. From the music to the interactive games they play with fans during breaks I feel like everyone had a great time. Lots of people were smiling and in great moods. It was just a vibe of good energy. My husband has never been a big hockey fan but even he said that we needed to buy tickets for next season. I agree!

We enjoys going to the Hockey games. It's great fun and a wonderful night out. The stadium is clean and the food is great. We really enjoy the Panther games. The Panthers were honoring Stoneman Douglas this evening. Banners were lit up everywhere saying MSD Strong. The names of the victims also were lit on the ice. It was quite an emotional time. One of the players, Roberto Luango, who lives in Parkland gave a wonderful speech. The 50/50 raised almost $100,000 and profits were going to MSD. The last few minutes of the game were very exciting as the Panthers were behind, then scored two goals which allowed them to win the game.

If you're into hockey then this should be your second home for the season! The team is playing absolutely amazing and the FLA Live arena has all the amenities to make your experience second to none. I would recommend getting club level seats at least once which are not expensive at all so you can get access to the nicest bars and carving stations the stadium has to offer.

What a fun experience. The introduction of the players onto the ice was cool, especially with the amazing scoreboard and lighting. The Panther mascot was all over the place for entertaining the crowd. The female host was great at trivia games and other intermission events. Prices of fan merchandise were high but they had an item of the week for sale.

Let's go Cats! Although I'm a life-long Red Wings fan, I LOVE a good hockey game, and that's exactly what's on tap when the Panthers hit the ice. I was in town for business and was very fortunate to be able to squeeze in a hockey double header (the Devils and Sabres both visited the BB&T on back-to-back nights). I've been to NHL games in six different cities and visited three different minor league hockey venues this season and I can honestly say that the Panthers offer an exciting product on the ice that is every bit as good as the teams up north. Barky, Huby, Trocheck, Bjugstad, Malgin, Eks, D-Mac an the rest of the Red&Blue are a well-rounded, highly skilled squad, and the Luongo/Reimer duo is as good of a tandem as you'll get in goal. Oh, and Haley will most like be chuckin' knuckles and having some poor opposing player spittin' chiclets before the end of the match. Watching NHL games always takes me back to the days of my youth, when hockey legends roamed the earth and filled my backyard, PVC-pipe goal afternoons with dreams of hockey greatness. It's time to share those unforgettable moments with a new generation. Floridians need to get out en masse and support this team. The BB&T is a great hockey arena, and offers a top-notch hockey experience. There's no excuse for the thousands of empty seats even as the Cats are in the midst of a serious playoff push. This is YOUR team south Florida--get out there and show them some love. Let's go Cats!!!!!

First, the parking for the stadium is 20 dollars. You have the option of parking across the street at the mall for free. It was my first time attending the panthers game, we won! Go panthers! Beer, they serve coors light and yuengling. There weren't many vegetarian or vegan options, I ended up getting a pretzel. It was a litttle awkward because they gave me a white paper water cup to put my mustard inside. Big fan base and lots of good energy, I can't wait to go again!!!!

I've consistently attended camp before they closed off the near parking garage for students; before the practice bubble; before the covered VIP bleachers; waaaay before Stephen Ross; toward the end of the Don Shula era On my most recent visit, I felt inclined to express how different the experience has become. Long gone are the days of a welcoming training camp; when I used to park right next to the practice fields. This event used to be open admission. Granted, we don't have to pay for tickets, but it's more of a hassle now. The practice bubble. Oh God, the practice bubble. A light sun shower started to come down & the team went inside for a "5min cooling break." A cooling break?! Give me a break! I get that the NFLPA is much more active nowadays & may perhaps have something to do with it. But damn. The pansification of football extends to the training camp experience. Two-a-day practices used to be open to the public. The media is now covering from the stands. Blocking spectators from their views. What the hell is that about?! They used to be confined to the one maybe two towers on field. Where are these fools coming from? Ugh. Despite all this, I will still come out & support my team when I can. But damn. I can't really say the changes have been for the better when it comes to the training camp experience.

The booths and food trucks, for day fans, offer a lot of great choices. Getting off of the freeway is a bear, but parking is easy. Last year here, before the move to Miami. I'll miss it. The generally bad reviews here come from people who don't read the rules about bringing non - clear bags into the stadium. InterMiami didn't invent the rule. They deal with the FIFA rules that are actually even more strict. Read the rules. Get over it. Has someone who has watched MLS grow, you are now seeing world class soccer here. In 24 years the league has moved up in talent with hundreds of billions of dollars being spent on the developmental Academy, like the one behind the temporary stadium. Young players are exposed to playing with young players from the Premier league Clubs. We had homegrown players in team World Cup who make less than $100,000 a year who are giving players who make $100 million a year a bad time. As this progresses, things will only get better. The rating here is very skewed. This is easily South Florida 's most enjoyable outdoor team sport. It joins hockey as a real deal, which is highly ironic given that this is South Florida. Much better than sitting crammed in, like tuna ,over at Hardrock stadium, to watch another "fish" that hasn't been good since Don Shula retired. We're waiting for the Heat to finally spend some money on a big draw player.

We took the trolley and it took us forever to get to the drop off. If you are going to promote patrons taking public transportation you should have dedicated lanes for and drop off for said public transport. Once dropped off, even though you are a couple hundred yards away from the stadium, you have to walk all the way around for at least 15 minutes to get in. The stadium itself is new so that's nice but nothing really exciting about it. If anything, it's pretty basic. From the upper level seats, you can't see the big screen and the air flow up there is horrendous. On a hot July evening, it was like a sauna up there. Again, the food is crazy pricey but I guess that's to be expected. Not a fan of almost everything being some sort of self check out. The experience wasn't horrible but it wasn't good so I was hoping to leave early and beat traffic out cause I expected an even worst shyt show leaving But the game itself was close so we stayed And I was right. The concourse gets super packed. The exits send you in the opposite direction of where you want to go. The trek back to the trolley pick up is treacherous. If you don't critical mass across the street, you can get stuck waiting for an endless amount of cars. And then when you finally get to your trolley pick up, there is no way for the trolleys to get there since they have blocked off the route. I saw at least three trolleys approach the stadium and then turn around because I can only assume they had no other choice. My kids are getting tired and hot from all the walking. It's 11pm, an hour past the time the game ended and nothing. We had to get an expensive uber to get home.
