The Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena is on the campus of Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. The FAU…read moremascot is the owl so the arena is affectionally known as the burrow. The 2,900 seat arena opened in 1984 for division 1 women's basketball and in 1988 it started hosting men's basketball and volleyball games. In 2007 the arena received a 10 million dollar renovation which included a new roof, renovated locker rooms, upgraded exterior, renovated lobby, chair back seating, and a video scoreboard. In the summer of 2008 club suites were added. In November of 2022, Eleanor R. Baldwin made a $7.5 million donation to Florida Atlantic University Athletics. In honor of the gift, the FAU Arena became known as the Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena. I came here for FAU Education Day. School groups were able to come and watch a women's basketball game between FAU and FIU. In between quarters there was Owlsley, the FAU mascot, dancers, cheerleaders, t-shirt giveaways, and a balancing act. The FAU Owls fought hard but were ultimately overcome by FIU by two points. This was a really fun event and the stadium was clean and comfortable. I would definitely come back for future games.

We came to see Turnstiles, the Billy Joel tribute band, at the beautiful Mizner Park Amphitheater…read more Be prepared if you're attending a popular concert--the lines to get in at 7 p.m. seemed a mile long, and the security screening process was extensive, with thorough bag and purse checks and wanding. It was a bit overwhelming, but once inside, it was worth it. Guests were allowed to bring chairs and blankets, so we were able to settle in comfortably with friends and enjoy a great spot for the show. The band was absolutely fabulous, delivering all the Billy Joel favorites and creating a fantastic atmosphere. With such a massive crowd, it felt like a record-breaking turnout. We even spotted Billy Joel's wife and two young children in attendance, which had us wondering if Billy himself might make a surprise appearance. Maybe next time! Food and beverage vendors were available throughout the venue, although I didn't notice many healthy food options. Boca Raton's new mayor, Andy Thomson, spoke briefly before the concert began. Most of all, I'm grateful that Boca offers a venue like this and the opportunity to enjoy outstanding live music outdoors for free. It's truly a community treasure, and I encourage everyone to take advantage of this beautiful space and the wonderful events it hosts. It did get a bit more muggy as the evening went on but it was tolerable for sure!

Very disappointed that on Valentine's Day no events were inside the amplitheatre although from $40 - $85 (depending on where you want to sit) in a tent next to the amplitheatre called The Great Mr Swindle's Traveling Peculiarium adult circus.

Students from FAU performed for a good size audience and the event encouraged people to dance right in front of the stage, making the evening very fun and lively. It's located "on the hill" near the visual arts center and the Arts Complex. As you walk in there is a desk for tickets, will call or information. We got our tickets online, so we just showed our QR code at the entrance of the auditorium and got seated. It's a large size theater venue with great acoustics and comfortable seating. We parked for free in Parking Garage 2, which is only a block away.

We bought tickets for a concert at FAU and we arrived at the campus early to stroll around the area…read moreand to get to know this part of Boca, which we had not been before. FAU's main campus in Boca Raton was established on the remnants of a World War II American Army airbase in 1964. Spanning 850 acres, the site is located between Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale. The campus was designated a burrowing owl sanctuary in 1971 by the Audubon Society. The owls find the campus appealing because there are few predators, due to the university's proximity to the Boca Raton Airport, and because the campus was originally cleared of vegetation when operating as an airbase during World War II. Unfortunately we did not see nor hear any owls while we walked around the area after dark. The Boca Raton campus is home to a wide variety of university programs and facilities. These facilities are labs and classrooms, housing for students, a 6,000-gallon shark tank for aquatic research, a movie theater, athletic and recreational facilities, and the student-run record label Hoot/Wisdom Recordings. The campus feels very spread out and very green, a nice place to jog, walk or run on a nice day, if you feel like exercising among the young college kids.

He only enjoys and drags on conversations with the white students and act like he didnt notice your black ass and tell no lies, I did bring it up to him after one of our class and he took it the wrong way. I believe thay even when I sent my car accident report and hospital discharge papers from having surgery I missed 2 classes and he ended up giving me an( F) as if I did NOTHING.. Meanwhile all my other professors took my accident into consideration and worked with, gave me more time.
