Lovely outdoor theater located in West Boca. We came to see Alabama Shakes and lucked out with a perfect sunset and no rain, super nice evening. The Alabama Shakes crowd is a chill one, so a lot of people had blankets and were sitting on the outdoor lawn. We got a nice standing spot up front and caught a vibe all night. Some people brought lawn chairs but it seems like the venue has different dates or events where lawn chairs or acceptable or not, this was not that night. Parking is not too far away so they put them back and came back with blankets to sit on. There are a variety of food and beverage vendors. Pizza, sandwiches, hot dogs, empanadas, fries, cocktails, beer, lemonade, water-- there is something for everyone here. read more

I saw that Alabama Shakes was playing and wanted to see them. Never heard of this Amphitheater before. It's all the way in West Boca at the Everglades. There is no formal seating it's all lawn seating. Nice Amphitheater with a view of a lake and they have restrooms. There are food vendors so there's plenty to eat. You cannot bring in food you're only allowed to bring in one sealed bottle of water. The Acoustics and lighting were good. And there is plenty of free parking which is a bonus these days since most venues charge $ 20 plus to park read more

This is a HUGE outdoor venue. I came here for the MudGirl 5K Mud Run, and there was plenty space for the obstacle course. There was lots of parking (we had to pay $20 for parking for this event, not sure how much other events might charge), clean public restrooms with toilet paper well in stock, and the grassy areas were walkable with minimal potholes or other unintentional obstacles. If you're coming here for a large event, make sure you have a good way to keep track of where in the lot you've parked (best if you can save the location on your phone and have it guide you back!)--it can be pretty easy to lose track of your car. read more

A very cool amphitheater seated next to bodies of water. Spacious and looked clean and preserved. Plenty of bar stations for beverages and a unique offering of food trucks and stands from pizza, kabobs, to chicken sandwiches. The only snacks available during my visit were chips. Attended the Boca Raton food truck festival. All the food featured was supposed to be $5 or less to give ppl the opportunity to try new restaurants and establishments. Their were a few trucks I noticed that displayed much higher prices which was a disappointment. The live entertainment was not the best but it was a beautiful sunny day in Florida so we made the most of it. I wouldnt waste my money on this event again though. read more

Located in the Burt Aaronson South County Regional Park, Sunset Cove Amphitheater is a large entertainment facility that hosts numerous events, concerts, festivals, and much more. Overlooking a very large lake, the spacious lawn offers plenty of room for patrons and vendors. I came to attend the fourth annual Art of Music Festival showcasing various artists such as Vision Band, Second Chance, Tifa, Alison Hinds, Third World, and Maxi Priest. They allowed people to enter through the gate after 2pm, but the show didn't start until minutes to 5pm. There were vendors selling merchandise, food, and drinks, but I wasn't willing to pay their high prices. Unless you paid for the VIP seating, you had to provide your own seat on the open lawn to view the show. I found seating and shade from the sun under an available pavilion which gave me a good view of the stage. The event was nice. Everyone was enjoying themselves between the performances and the DJ playing a mixture of reggae music during the breaks. It was nice to see the soca queen, Alison Hinds, perform live...she was the real deal.... beautiful in person and has a lovely voice while engaging with the audience. I've seen Maxi Priest perform before at the Pompano Beach Amphitheater so it was nice to see him again. The other acts were unknown to me, so I just sat there viewing their performances. I was extremely tired by the end of the event, but it was enjoyable nonetheless. Would I attend an event like this again? I would like to, but it depends if I'm able to attend due to my work schedule. read more

This was a great place for an outdoor music concert in Boca. This was the first year. They had the blues festival and I hope they have one every year. It was a great concert and it lasted all day Saturday and Sunday you take your own chairs and they have plenty of food vendors and drinks that you can purchase there. Beautiful park, it's out in west Boca. We had an event here and the setting was absolutely perfect. The park is quiet and has a gorgeous lake where you can catch the sunset since it's so far out west. They also have an amphitheater for larger events. I would love to do another event here in the future. The only comment is that the staff was not easy to work with, particularly Donald. I hope that's not the case in the future. read more

Great location for concerts! I've been out here for about 10 different concerts and they always have charged for parking when there's an event. It's $20. We usually show up early to tailgate and they have unlocked restroom structures which come in handy! I've never had any issues with the event staffing. They are getting better for events by now sending emails of what's allowed and not allowed inside the venue. Once inside they have more bathroom structures along with porta potties. There's quite a few beer, bar and food stands for food and drinks. No matter where you sit you can see the stage and it's on a slight incline to be able to see over those in front of you. If you want a view, walk down by the water and enjoy being able to hear the band play while looking over the water. It is a bit crazy trying to leave the venue because of all the traffic, but we usually wait it out 30 minutes and miss all of the traffic. read more

Beautiful grounds with lakes, picnic areas, trees msking it an ideas place for the outdoor event. Weather was perfect with cool breeze. Easy parking and access to event. Restrooms accommodated the packed event. No crowd issues, easy in and easy out. We were surprised since they had to turn away people. Came out for the Chinese Lantern Festive. What a perfect venue! To start, parking was easy and available... big points on arrival. The venue had plenty of space to wander with minimal crowding. The lawns were in good condition considering the number of people I imagine have been through here. The space layout in an easy to maneuver and very comfortable. I will add my disclaimer: it was after dark so it is possible I missed something. The stage area was very appealing but we did not see it in use. Overall, the area was clean and someplace I would consider coming back to. read more

If you like wide open spaces, soft grass, beautiful starry nights (when the weathers good) and a clear sound system this is definitely your kinda place. If you hate waiting in line for parking for 2.5 hours and mosquitos galore, then this is not your place! Went to the 311/matisyahu show last night and waited in parking traffic for god knows how long and ended up missing the first act. Kinda bummed about that only Bc the parking situ could be vastly improved with a few minor tweaks. Overall, the venue was pretty nice and the stage was easy to get close to. Nice Amphitheater, however I found it lacking on several items which are important to me when going to a show. 1. No screens/video of the stage - I like how the Cruzan Amphitheater in West Palm Beach has huge screens constantly projecting what is going on at the stage, that way if you are not right up close to the stage you can still see what is going on. 2. Food & Beer selection - I like that mixed drinks are offered, however the beer selection was limited to Heineken, Miller light and I think Bud. Also, there were just a few food vendors (burger & arepas), the Amphitheater isn't huge however it would be nice to have a better selection. Expensive - 1 drinks/beer $8 (small cup) double $14. 3. Bathrooms - When will architects learn? Women's bathrooms should be twice as big as the mens, there is always a line...Sunset did offer porta-potties, but what girl really wants to use those things!? 4. Pay for parking - $10, it was a hassle getting out, traffic could be managed better. Overall the sound quality was very good, you can bring a blanket, I would go to Sunset again. read more

I came here for the Donald Trump rally for President on March 13th, a Sunday evening. Plenty of parking. Obviously, the place wasn't designed for massive crowds of thousands, as getting out of the event in terms of parking was a nightmare. Having said that, I have to imagine that this particular event had more people then the average event there, so that's something to take into account. The view, especially when the sun was setting was beautiful. I didn't see any water fountains stationed in the area, which really should be mandated for outdoor events, especially in Florida. Nor did I see bathrooms, but again, the place was packed so they are probably around somewhere. For a small outdoor concert area, I'd say this place was pretty nice. read more

This is a very cute venue, however it is small. Oh so small. The sound system was great, however that bass kept getting turned up to high. And the lighting was off. Also it has no screens so people in the back couldn't see what is happening on the stage. It needs screens asap! This venue doesn't often have major performances. But occasionally they bring in sell out performances. (6,000 people) Sublime. Stephen Marley, etc. As written by previous Yelpers, no chairs, but blankets are allowed. Parking takes a long while for sold out shows, so be patient. The sound quality and number of vendors selling food, or drinks, depends entirely on the event. For sold out shows there are a lot of options. And if the organizers do it up right, the sound is not overpowering. Clean venue. It's far West in the county, hard to find, but pretty well organized. read more

I would give this place 5 stars if they had a shelter from the weather and more bathrooms. I've been to many concerts here. There was one where a Severe Thunderstorm rolled in. I was prepared for rain. (Ponchos only-no umbrellas). But lightning is a deadly killer in Florida. With No Real place to shelter from lightning, I asked. Actually pleaded with security t alow m wife and I to shelter in my car then come back in. NO. Wouldn't allow it! I went over to the ticket table, calmly explained the situation and asked for a refund. The main band had only played 2 songs before this crazy lightning was striking all around us. NO. I was recording my conversation , when. PBSO ordered me to stop Filming them. He said I was violating their "privacy" . I wasn't, clearly as we were ALL in a public venue. The PIG was ready to arrest me, and since I didn't want to get arrested just because I knew I was in the right and wanted to prove a point, we left. Lines for food and drinks here are always super Long. It would be helpful if they brought info those fancy bathrooms on a trailer with the A/C as there are literally 5 stalls for men and Women for crowds of 5,000 or more read more

Good venue to watch events, but bring your bug spray. Came here for the Fourth of July celebration, complete with a doo-wop group and self congratulatory politicians, but still managed to have a good time since this place is pretty comfortable. It is nice venue which is very clean, well groomed and would pretty pretty cool to watch an intimate event. I know that they have wide range of music acts that come here including Matisyahu, Silversun Pickups, Sublime, Cypress Hill etc. However, you are warned to bring your bug spray, otherwise you will end up as an endless buffet for those little flying teeth aka no-see ums. read more

Sunset Cove Amphitheater has easy access from Glades Rd, plenty of free parking, and is a large and beautiful venue to host the awesome Chinese Lantern Festival! The Chinese Lantern Festival lights were somewhat visible while driving up the entrance road which made us both excited for what we were about to experience. There were artisan craftsman making all sorts of wonderful artwork for sale, food vendors, fairly clean and stocked restrooms, and of course the Lanterns themselves. Fun for the whole family. Out way west of Boca Raton is the Sunset Cove Amphitheater. It is a relatively new venue. A few weeks ago Willie Nelson was there and last night Yes was in concert. Easy to get in and out of. $10 to park(ouch!) A few vendors.selling hot dogs, pretzels, cocktails, beer, wine, etc. Prices high. There is seating in the front section and lawn seating(blankets only) behind. Problem is people stand behind the seating section so those of us on the lawn could not see very well. Just came back from Food Truck Invasion and had such a great time. Coming from Philly and attending Night Markets, this was a pleasant experience. A decent amount of food trucks with everything you could possibly crave (lobster rolls, bbq ribs, ice cream, tacos, and the list goes on) without being too overwhelming. Beautiful place for an outdoor picnic with the family. We sat under the pavilion which had several picnic tables that overlooked a lake and listened to some live music. The restrooms were close by and also has a playground for the kiddies to enjoy. The park is clean and well kept. I soaked in the beauty and watched the sunset over the lake and then the mosquitoes came out so we bounced. Will have to remember to carry bug spray with me next time. I really enjoyed the venue and food trucks and will make this a tradition every other Wednesday. read more

Went to see the long run eagles band. What a beautiful park!! Nice clean bathrooms, food vendors, friendly staff. Very impressed. We had no issues with parking as we packed food and got there 45 min early. We didn't rush out at the end either. So no issues. Just spent another evening at Sunset Cove and I love it here. I have seen a concert (The Lumineers), a speaker, and have been to the food trucks on numerous occasions. There is always plenty of parking, even during concerts and high traffic events. The staff is friendly and you CANNOT beat the view. It sits right on a lake and you can watch the sunset while listening to music or eating some fabulous food during a food truck event. I might be biased as this is right around the corner from my home but I really like this venue. Even when full it never feels super crowded and it just has a laid back and fun vibe. They could work on the sound system a bit but really it is awesome overall. A great venue! read more

Really a very beautiful venue. I have come to Sunset Cove Amphitheater twice now, and have been impressed by their facilities. The lawns are perfectly manicured and the lakes are beautiful. The amphitheater stage is really nice, and back stage is great too. The bathrooms are modern and clean. I definitely recommend this venue for large events. read more

I will never return to this venue. My husband and I waited over an hour and a half in the longest line to get into the park for the show ( to go 1/2 mile). Not only did I miss the opening act that I really wanted to see but we left early as to not get stuck coming out. So it was a waste of time and money, to add insult to injury we had to pay the one person taking money 10 bucks to park! What a rip off! They are clearly not equipped to handle this type of event. read more

This is a review of my 20 minute stay to check out the facilities and walk around. I must say that it takes quite a while to get to this place. It is in the back of the back of West Boca. You make a right turn onto a street and go back a ways before getting to the Sunset Cove pavilion. I really like that the place is clean and well kept. The amphitheater even when it is empty is something to see. There is ample parking and at the pavilion you can have amplified music aka DJ or live band. When I have my event there is a few months I will come back and re-review this establishment with more details. read more

Last night I found myself waiting in line to enter the amphitheater for over an hour and a half and missed most of the Matisyahu and 311 concert. The level of disorganization and lack of consideration for concert goers is beyond me. I have never experienced this at any other concert EVER and I have been to many. I was so disappointed. I will never go back to this amphitheater. Whoever is in charge of the parking should be fired. And they have the nerve to charge for parking after making 50% of the concert goers miss most of the show. Unbelievable. read more
