Went here for FAU Homecoming - so way to wear RED! The parking here is a bit difficult- the people that work/volunteer here don't really have any answers to any questions -go figure. Finally, a woman said go into this lot and see if you can find a spot - which there were many! The stadium itself had lit up palm trees in red, white and blue. Marching band and Great cheerleading! The crowd was not too into the game - but I found it fun to be there. I found the FAU Mascot of an Owl and managed to get a picture with them! We had a lot of fun and it was a gorgeous evening as well. I didn't eat any of the food there or have any of the drinks. It's always fun to root for the home team but in this case the home team did not win!

Here for the Boca Raton Bowl. $20 parking in the many open lots. Not a bad seat anywhere. Limited food options. Decent stadium for a lower rung Division 1 program.

This is the stadium on the FAU campus for the football team. We however, know this stadium well from attend Florida Launch (Major League Lacrosse) games several times per year. It is a fairly intimate stadium so you can see see the action from every seat. There is not much in the way of concessions. During the Launch games there are hot dogs, pretzels, barbecue, Dippin Dots, and a full bar. What I find irritating at this stadium is their staff. This stadium's policy is stricter than the BB&T center when it comes to letting in only the smallest of bags (or clear ones). I have still seen them to be wildly inconsistent when it comes to letting women in with purses. Sometimes they are strict and sometimes they aren't. The staff also can be on the rude side. At the end of games they yell at fans to get out of the arena. There is a covered parking garage attached to the stadium. At Launch games you are not allowed to use it unless you have a parking pass in advance. There is still a plenty of parking in lots across the street for a $10 charge. FAU stadium can be a fun place to watch a game but the school should really give their staff some customer relations training!

This is division 1 hoops, but there was only about 500 people in the stands on a Saturday afternoon to see the owls rout Jacksonville. Ticket prices are either $12 or $20 and there is no need to buy the pricier seats. Promotions are corny and the owl needs a new costume and there are at least 25 cheerleaders which isn't a bad thing at all. They call it the burrow, but it needs to be louder and there was no students at the game at all. FAU is in a major conference, so it's disappointing that crowd was small, but we enjoyed the game and the venue.

Food is a hodge podge of bad to average. Even the "club" level on the west side serves crappy cart food. Lines overwhelmed for food. Not run by one of the big food services like Aramark but it should be. They ran out of popcorn between the first and second matches. Security violated the fire codes and let kids block the steps at Section 126. Strictly the amateur hour. Love US Soccer, and I get that the stadium is the right size for the game, but this isn't a quality place. They wouldn't let in people with US soccer bags because they were too big. Bogus.

FAU's main campus in Boca Raton was established on the remnants of a World War II American Army airbase in 1964. Spanning 850 acres, the site is located between Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale. The campus was designated a burrowing owl sanctuary in 1971 by the Audubon Society. The owls find the campus appealing because there are few predators, due to the university's proximity to the Boca Raton Airport, and because the campus was originally cleared of vegetation when operating as an airbase during World War II. Unfortunately we did not see nor hear any owls while we walked around the area after dark. The Boca Raton campus is home to a wide variety of university programs and facilities. These facilities are labs and classrooms, housing for students, a 6,000-gallon shark tank for aquatic research, a movie theater, athletic and recreational facilities, and the student-run record label Hoot/Wisdom Recordings. The campus feels very spread out and very green, a nice place to jog, walk or run on a nice day, if you feel like exercising among the young college kids.
