Once you do, assuming you're motivated to make a change in your life, you'll most definitely become hooked. The facility and equipment (free weights, treadmills, TRX, Infrared Sauna, bio-metrics reader etc.) are top-notch, the training staff is excellent, and the classes are great. For the classes, the staff certainly wants to help you see results, but you do train at your own pace. Which is a good thing because with like CrossFit (which I've done) workouts turn into competitions and competition lead to injury, Fit Austin is self paced. Ultimately, you're only competition is yourself and what you decide to put into it. Special shout out to Lane, who always brings the energy + excellent WODs to the table. Do yourself a favor, drop the gym membership that you rarely use and when you do you just got through the motions. Instead get into see the crew at Fit Austin where you might pay more but you'll absolutely get more out of it. Thanks Fit Austin!

The workouts are tough but the best thing is that they are ALWAYS different. It's never the same boring old routine. They recently got an infrared sauna too! Their class times align to people who work long hours in addition to people who don't work as you can attend the 6am or 7am classes ( that's where I'm at ) or the 12pm or 5:30pm classes. I enjoy this class so much more then I ever enjoyed Barre, Yoga or CrossFit. It's just a true combination of everything and that makes it so much more doable as it never gets boring. Random body parts are always sore. They also always provide alternatives if you have an injury. The class is super diverse. People of ALL ages and ALL weights. It's refreshing. You're not intimated but you're also motivated. Personal tip: If Lateef doesn't immediately respond to your email just email again. He's an actual owner hustler as he teaches so many of his classes and does a lot of personal training and he doesn't have an assistant so he juggles it all on his own. Fit Austin is totally worth it so don't get upset just send a follow up and he will respond. It's worth it!!!!

There is a nice shower amenity. The best thing about TCS is the coaching staff! This place is not a lift as heavy as you can as many times as you can no matter how you do it or what it does to your body. It's a place to learn how to lift correctly, take care of your body, and build the type and amount of muscle that you want to feel strong and healthy. Elliott, Kristina, and Travis are passionate about helping people learn correct technical form to avoid injury, and they are all really good at adjusting workouts to make them work for you even if you have pre-existing injuries. I trust them all to keep me safe at the gym and to teach me new techniques. They make working out fun and interesting. And the music is always on point! The next best thing about TCS is the inviting community. Everyone there is so kind and welcoming. You should definitely check out TCS if you want to learn and get strong! **The location has changed! Even with just a mat setup at the club's venue, I got an incredible workout, and that experience led me to start attending drop-in classes regularly, then upgraded to the membership. I noticed results very quickly, even after only a few classes. What stood out most was that I got both the great energy from instructors and studio design as well as the physical results from both the mat and Pilates classes. I've genuinely become hooked on Pilates, and I really appreciate Haus of B's holistic approach to wellness. From the Recovery Room with red light therapy and infrared sauna, to the variety of classes, sound bath events, booking upgrades with wellness products, and even massage offerings, this is the pilates studio of your dreams!

Like you know when you had a great workout, I felt that today. So effective and I felt like I was pushing myself. Also what I really like that other gyms miss is the help and motivation from instructors. THIS is the most important thing, form and breathing technique and they help you through each station. All trainers are pretty friendly and push you. I also like the amenities at the gym. They offer you towels, lockers and a nice bathrooms with showers!

The zeal for finding something to new to do in the form exercise led me to SWEAT440 Highland. It is essentially a cross fit / boot camp type workout divided into 4 stations including cardio and strength training at each station. Each exercise series is done three times at each station. It is important to note that there are monitors at each station highlighting which exercise you should be doing by place your name over the exercise display. This cross fit / boot camp type training is popular and some variation of this training is done by other fitness groups. Pros: It is 40 minutes in total, which allows you to get in and get out pretty quickly. SWEAT440 provides a full body work out. They also have onsite showers in case you need to shower before work. The exercises are rather straightforward and easy to do. Con: Anti-bacterial wipes are available throughout your workout, however, you are not asked to clean the equipment until the last round of your third set at a station. For a resident germaphobe, that was a bit offputting. I must say I did get a great workout.

This gym is very intense in comparison to other CrossFit gyms I have been to and the workouts reflect that. I am not a beginning so I can't speak to the perspective of someone coming in new but for someone who has been doing CrossFit for many years this was a great experience. The coaches are all very friendly and really take the time to help you work on form and safety during the lift portion of the work out. During the WOD alternative movements are readily available (although not encouraged unless required) which I think is a good approach to make sure people are pushing themselves to get better and improve. The membership is expensive in comparison to some other gyms in the area but I think you really do get what you pay for here and it is very much worth it if you are willing to dedicate the time to go three or more times a week. It's also a huge bonus that they bill weekly rather than monthly so if you are traveling you can take a week off without feeling like you're missing out. I'm sad to have to leave this gym but I am moving across town and so I won't be able to come regularly. Highly recommend to anyone interested or visiting town.

Since ownership changed, programming is more akin to F45 as they seem to be targeting the casual athlete who would have previously been intimidated by Central's intensity.
