We…read moreuse the club consistently, follow the policies, and pay a significant amount each month for what is marketed as a premium experience. There are many things I genuinely appreciate about Life Time, particularly the instructors, who have consistently been one of the strongest parts of the club. Unfortunately, my experience with Kids Academy has become increasingly disappointing, and an interaction today brought several longstanding concerns to a head. First, policies need to be communicated and enforced consistently. When something is permitted one day and prohibited the next--or seems to depend on which employee is working--it becomes very difficult for members to understand what is actually expected of them. I am completely willing to follow the rules. I simply expect those rules to be clear, consistent, and communicated respectfully. More concerning was the manner in which my children and I were spoken to today. My children are also members of this club, and regardless of a disagreement or policy issue, I expect employees working with children to communicate with them respectfully. I was extremely disappointed by the tone and demeanor used toward them. This experience is especially troubling because I have already had concerns about what I have personally observed in Kids Academy over time. I have repeatedly seen very young children crying or visibly distressed for extended periods, ignored and wandering desperately seeking caregiver attention, and interactions that, in my opinion, lack the warmth, patience, and attentiveness I would expect from a childcare environment, the lack of genuine care for the children is appalling. This is not up to standard- particularly those associated with what should be a premium family membership. I recognize that this is gym childcare and not a preschool, and my expectations reflect that distinction. However, basic attentiveness, kindness, appropriate supervision, and respectful communication with children should not be considered premium amenities. They should be the minimum standard. There are certainly kind employees in Kids Academy, including some of the younger staff members who have been wonderful with my children. My concern is not intended as a blanket criticism of every person working there. It is that the overall quality and consistency of the childcare experience does not seem aligned with the standard Life Time promotes elsewhere in the club. My children are older and are able to communicate clearly with me about their experiences and advocate for themselves. Based solely on what I have personally observed, I would NOT leave a very young child who cannot yet communicate independently. I don't expect perfection, and one unpleasant interaction would not ordinarily cause me to reconsider a membership I have and one I would like to maintain. But when inconsistent policies, poor customer service, and concerns about the environment in which members' children are being cared for begin to form a pattern, it deserves attention. Life Time charges a premium price and presents itself as a premium club. I believe it is reasonable for members to expect the quality, professionalism, and customer service in Kids Academy to reflect that same standard. After today's experience, I am genuinely questioning whether the value of our membership continues to justify the cost.

There is plenty of staff available to assist if needed. They have a stretching section with big mats pre-arranged on the floor and ample foam rollers-really cool! I told them to check the cameras cause I for sure was in there to cancel and was told the cameras don't go back that far I told them I no longer lived in Texas. They told me there's nothing they could do and to try to email some guy who they said was the owner. I sent a 4 emails and never got a reply. It's February and I just got a call from a debt collector saying I owe 260. What a fucking scam of a business. Definitely will be hearing from my lawyer.

TLDR: Do it, sign up, invest in yourself. You won't regret it and you'll reap even more benefits…read morethan you imagined. After moving to the Cedar Park area and about 1.5 years of lackluster workouts given the pandemic, my husband and I knew we needed something radically different. In the past, we'd been Class Pass members and really enjoyed spin and Pilates classes, but we'd stopped seeing changes in our body and knew we needed more. After some quick research (the Yelp/Google/Facebook reviews speak for themselves), we signed up for a consultation with Eugene. The consultation was free and straightforward: he took measurements, learned about our priorities, educated us about the programs offered, and at the end we even tried a free bootcamp class. Needless to say, after that class, we were hooked and ended up committing to a 3 month semi-private training program. The program was challenging (in the best ways) and we always felt supported. Infinit8 has everything you need to succeed: an easy to use app that guides you through the nutrition component, exercises routines that build on each other until one day you wake up, and realize how strong you are, and, of course, the in-gym classes (semi-private and bootcamp) that always surprise and delight you. I felt supported, understood, and seen. Coming in 3-4 times a week, I looked forward the amazing community feeling and the instructors always cheering us on. The emphasis on correct form also blew my mind -- safety is paramount here and it shows. We learned so much about ourselves and our bodies in just one summer. I lost ~13lbs in 3 months and over 6% body fat, which for someone 5'2 is a lot. What's even more important, is that my mental health and happiness has also improved, as well as my confidence. My husband's goal were radically different, he wanted to stay around the same weight while losing body fat and getting more toned and he nailed those too. Lastly, this was a great value. We paid ~$300 a month for nutritional + fitness coaching + access to all classes + the support of incredible humans. Honestly, the program pays for itself once you realize how far you'll go. Eugene was our main champion, but we also worked with Ben, Farrah, and Teresa and they were all fantastic and professional.

Y'all, this gym, Eugene, and his coaching staff are AMAZING. The other people I train with are so awesome, and the vibe is so positive. Whatever your goals are, Eugene is there to help you whether you're 30 and in great shape or 70 and want to get/stay strong and active. I'm a chonky middle-aged woman who likes to lift heavy, and never once have I ever felt judged for my size or uncomfortable in any way. If you're looking for a gym, I highly recommend Infint8. Planet fitness overall is meant to be an entry point gym for a lot of people: and while they do…read moreexpect some people to fail($10 people who don't show up makes up what the members who do pay so they don't have to pay more) and those who really stick to it or have different goals will likely move on at some point(especially if they have kids or want nicer amenities like a sauna, which I'm not gonna lie would be killer) so I'm reviewing this gym as what it is: a starting point. I signed up for the black club membership and have been going for a little bit. The space is always clean, they have people clean equipment between use, and people who at other gyms may be inclined to harass women due to dude bro culture are more likely to think twice(aka they WILL KICK THEM OUT ASAP) Staff will show you how to use any machine if you ask, so the reviews on guests who are annoyed they can't say anything are unwarranted anyway(we appreciate it, but I'd rather not have to talk to most people at 5 am) 30 min circuit isn't often used as it's supposed to be but I'm not complaining: people are typically really courteous about it and are just taking a bit longer than recommended(which means they're getting 2/3 sets in . AWESOME!) If machines are being used all the time: it's probably cuz you're going at rush hour in the evening. I get not everyone wants to get up early but tbh it's easily avoidable. Total body enhancement machine is great: I use it for the light and to warm up and typically feel great after. Hydro massage after a workout is a MUST for recovery. Overall, will I use this gym forever? Probably not. But it's great for me to build my confidence and base skills again for a year or so before I move on. If you're thinking of starting your fitness journey here: just do it.

I have been a member here for several years, and unfortunately my experience has gone downhill…read moresignificantly. The incident that finally pushed me to write this review happened yesterday. My husband and I came in together to work out. I was fumbling with my phone trying to pull up my barcode, so my husband scanned me in. He accidentally selected our daughter Tess's name instead of mine. I immediately went to the restroom before starting my workout. When I came out of the stall, a staff member was standing there waiting for me. She asked my name, and when I explained that my husband had accidentally selected our daughter's name but that I had my own active membership, she told me I needed to come to the front desk immediately. I told her several times that I had my membership on my phone and could show her. Before going to the desk, I simply asked if I could wash my hands first since I had just used the restroom. She refused and told me, "You need to come to the front desk right now," and then added, "You know I can kick you out of here, right?" I understand verifying memberships, but refusing to allow someone to wash their hands after using the restroom and immediately threatening to throw them out was unnecessary, embarrassing, and incredibly rude. Also, if there is an issue with someone's membership, maybe don't confront them while they're walking out of a bathroom stall. At the very least, wait until they have left the locker room. Being approached in the restroom and then denied the opportunity to wash my hands before being marched to the front desk was uncomfortable, embarrassing, and completely unnecessary. This isn't an isolated issue. Over the last several months, I've noticed a major shift in how members are treated. Staff seem increasingly focused on policing memberships to the point that interactions often feel accusatory rather than welcoming. I've also become increasingly frustrated with the amenities included in my membership. I pay for the higher-tier membership that includes things like massage chairs and tanning, yet these features frequently don't work or are "under maintenance" for weeks at a time. There was also a recent incident where I was told I could not work out until I allowed staff to take my membership photo. While I understand needing photos for identification purposes, refusing to allow a paying member to exercise until a picture was taken felt excessive and unnecessary. At this point, walking into the gym feels less like going to work out and more like trying to clear airport security. I understand verifying memberships, but I don't appreciate feeling like I'm automatically viewed as a criminal or someone trying to sneak in every time I walk through the door. I've been a paying member for years. A little common sense and courtesy would go a long way. Between the constant equipment issues, amenities being unavailable, and the increasingly rude and confrontational attitude from staff, I'm seriously considering taking my membership elsewhere.
