BF Bakery & Cafe is the bakery in all the 99 Ranch Markets that I have visited. I love their pastries especially the Japanese flower and anything coconut. I am not a big fan of their cakes for some reason. I've bought them in the past, but they are not my go-to cakes. This bakery has a bit more variety of pastries compared to other BF Bakery & Cafe IMHO. As I was looking through the pasties, I noticed boxed mochi bread with sesame, but I didn't see any individual ones for sale. It would have been nice if they sold them individually so that the customers can buy just one to try. If they like them, then they may go for the whole box. I ended up getting 1 golden coconut and 1 Portuguese egg tart. I haven't eaten them yet, but I know they are good as I have bought them in the past at another BF Bakery & Cafe... I know what you're going to say... just because it's good from one place, it doesn't mean it's good at another place. Fair enough. Prices were fairly reasonable. Staff at the counter was super friendly. I mentioned about the mochi bread with sesame. She said it's a great idea and that she'll mention it to the manager. I came back recently to get the matcha latte and the watermelon juice on a Sunday afternoon. The line here gets really long and I had to wait a while before getting to the front and placed my order. Luckily, both drinks that I wanted were ready to go and were on the counter. There are always pros and cons to that right? Pros - I didn't have to add to my wait time but cons - who knows how long it was made before I went to pick it up. The lady ringing me up was very kind and apologized for the wait time. It was very sweet of her. Anyways, after getting both drinks, we walked around the market with it and enjoyed it. Both drinks were decent for the price. The watermelon juice is sweet and refreshing. It was delicious and just a great drink for a hot day. The matcha latte were also cold but it was a bit watered down. Both drinks were cold but had no ice in them. It was kept in an ice cold area on the counter. Sorry forgot to take pics, but I would recommend the watermelon juice and certainly would come back for it again. read more

AMAZING Sesame Mochi Bread is super duper tasty! It is made with wheat, egg, soy and sesame ingredients and baked to perfection. I am very particular with what I eat but this product is IRRESISTIBLY GOOOOD ! Just add anything like a good aged cheese, some slice of ham (i like german ham) or scrambled eggs with your FAV robust coffee BAM it might just set the tone for your busy day! Enjoy but just warm or toast on a convection oven for NO more than 30-45 seconds so savor the flavor and texture. YO' all must try to believe it but I wouldn't recommend the CHEESE mochi bread because it is just infuse with some low grade cheese that you could hardly taste for an extra charge! read more

I come here maybe once or twice a month for 99Ranch, I order the same thing each time: Fruit tea without oranges, due to an allergy. Each time we come and order, there is an issue: oh we are out of tea, it's gonna be 20m because we are cutting oranges right now (there is 3 employees all cutting oranges? Or is the one making the drinks, cutting them?) It's an inclusion, not in the tea. We got a manager involved last time to fix the issue, suddenly the drink was made in two minutes and the one who took our order was no where near the oranges or cutting them. ??? I came by today, ordered the same thing No Oranges please. He made both with oranges so I took it back and the same employee told me there is no oranges, we use green tea. I pointed at the orange inclusion freely moving in the fruit tea I repeated myself. No oranges please, it's an allergy. He didn't change his gloves and made it again. I know he remembers me, he kept making eye contact. Is it this hard to just make the drink and just not throw the orange inclusions inside? Besides that it's just apple. At this point I don't even think it would be safe to drink, for all I know he just fished it out and poured it into another cup. If there is an allergic reaction, I know who it was. Their breads and cakes are really good! I think their bread is even better than 85c! Cakes are decent, not too sweet or dense which is how I like it. They have fun designs for the holidays (like a turkey cake for Thanksgiving!) Drinks - I can never order because I feel like nobody is available to make it and I don't want to wait too long. Their only issue which is bothersome is that they're always under staffed and not experienced (even pre-pandemic.) The cashiers are quite slow and some don't understand you right away. So patience is key. Friday afternoon, the display case was full but come Sunday night, most of it is gone, maybe 5 or 6 cakes left and some are discounted. I like coming to this bird farm location. There's always plenty of fresh baked goods and pastries on the shelves. I'm disappointed in the fact that the prices have been increasing a lot more this past year, so almost any type of pastry is above two dollars now. They also make fresh cakes as well and sometimes you can get additional discount on cakes during the holidays. Bread Farm bakeries are located in Ranch 99 supermarkets. I also got their chocolate latte, which they said was their version of hot cocoa, but it didn't taste good at all. Tasted like very watery hot chocolate. I also order the oolong hot tea, which was tasty at the time, but I ended up getting diarrhea afterwards. So not sure if it was a bad milk or just the combination of the drink with oolong didn't sit right for me. I was disappointed in both drinks but at least their pastries are OK. read more

Overall: 3.5 stars but I couldn't quite click on the 4 stars. Their pastries are in general "ok". Even the kids don't care too much for the breads anymore. Their Danish Bo Luo (common popular pineapple but not pineapple-flavored bun) tastes similar to their other coconut or other crispy crust danishes. However, they have their "Buy 5+, $.99 each," deal but has been offered later now because I think it used to be available earlier but today for instance was not offered at 6:30 pm yet. When we finished shopping in the supermarket, at 7:30 I saw the sign and started grabbing away. So initially it seemed difficult to pick 5 because we've tried many of their pastries before and they have tasted ok. But then (possibly because it's dinner time as well) once I start placing a couple in my tray, I always select more than 5. $.99 each for chocolate crispy crust danish, cheese bar (kids love these), coconut flakes filling flavored bread...all look so appetizing. These sweet pastries will always get my attention even with the new 85C bakery that opened up across the street, it's just convenient and too tempting not to get some. They also used to have $.99 milk tea or green tea deals but now costs a little more and I saw today there was a $2.49 boba milk tea promo. Give them your phone number for rewards points (same acct as 99 Ranch rewards number when you buy groceries) and get a stamp for your drink to eventually get a free drink after buying 10. Favorites are the unusual chocolate blossom pastry, which is a croissant type bun that has but shaped into a poker flower. The Dutch chocolate bun has a crackly topping that is kind.of messy to eat, but totally worth it. Sometimes they have thr coconut bread in bun form, but last time I dropped by, the bakery only offered the large sized breads. I love their bread and pastries here much better than 85C (which I used to love). Also the cake is more to my taste because is not as sweet as other Asian bakery that I know of. Service is excellent, I have no problem every time I come and I always ask for box or to put the bread/pastries in the box instead of just cram them in a plastic bag. Great price for the drinks. I got the Assam milk tea with boba and it was as delicious as the other boba shops like the one next to 99 ranch if not more. I declare, I have been behind the times. At least as far as Chinese bakeries are concerned. One day Mr. B and I tried a few in the predominately Asian community in the San Gabriel area, close to Los Angeles. But once hardly counts, and they are so far away. We haven't even been to the well-known 85°C Bakery Cafe yet. I know. "Shocking!" So when we discovered this small bakery inside our new 99 Ranch Market with their serve yourself bins filled with a fascinating array of uncommon breads, it was a way to make all things right again. And besides, there were only little lines, not long ones, and way too tempting to pass by anyway. Unfortunately, it was the end of the day, so pickin's weren't so great, but I was particularly impressed with the one that resembled a croissant pastry with a cream cheese filling, topped with a fresh, sweet strawberry. Yummmmeee. The bakery employee suggested we also try a large, slightly sweet white bun with pistachios dotted over the top. A nice choice, it was tasty when re-warmed. Neither tasted too sweet....... just right. I admire that in a pastry. And I can't complain about their freshness. I also got two savory buns, not quite as thrilling. Most of the selections were just way too much white bread for this person who was raised on nuts and whole grains. So not being an authority, I may have to eat my words. But I will return. And maybe someday I will indulge in their big competitor's products too, to do a taste comparison. Hey, at least not-so-little Corona is becoming more international now. read more

On my way to Home Depot I saw the Bread Farm sign at the 99 Ranch Market and had to stop in. Great location right next to Costco, plenty of parking. Everything is set up beautifully, I wanted one of each and everything. From savory to sweet, whole cakes to slices, everything looked so tasty and the prices are excellent, ranging from just under $2 for the single pastries to about $8 for a small cake. Perfect for a party, showstopping cakes, especially the ones with fruit. It is self serve, fill up a tray and they box it up for you with a smile, great service here. I had the lemon cupcake, it was my favorite of the bunch, so light and fluffy, the lemon added the perfect refreshing tartness, light and spongy, I could eat a dozen. I also had a blueberry pastry, loved it but a bit plain for my taste, perfect with coffee, milk or hot chocolate though. My husband had a garlic as well as a ham and cheese pastry, both also very good. Everything was super fresh, they were constantly bringing out new trays of items, I can't wait to come back and try more of their goods! So glad to have an Asian style bakery like this in Corona, it reminds be of 85C or Paris Baguette. read more

I have to be honest when I say that for a short period of last year, I sent my hubby here practically everyday to bring home a mexican blueberry bun for me & me alone . This bakery is located in the 99 Ranch Market off of McKinley St. They have a huge selection of asian pastries. Me being Korean, i've had my share of pastries from every asian country you can imagine. But last year I was introduced to a Mexican blueberry bun...... it was love at first bite. I questioned the girl that continuously brought out fresh pastries, why they named it Mexican bun?.. her answer was because it looked like the one's they make.... hum? Ok? I'm married to a Mexican. She probably had no clue... so I didn't get crazy as us asian can get. I figured that's what she was told so oh well , I'll except her answer and continue buying out their entire inventory. I didn't care who/what/where it was created. ... I just knew it had me at hello. It's in a large puffy /Simi sweet/ toasted bun stuffed with blueberry puree /cream. When I tear into mine , it looks as though I've performed a operation on it , because I have to have a portion of the cream on every bite of the bun.... loved it! This year is a whole new story. Because of a couple issue's, I no longer eat them.... :( until this day. I don't know if it was time or my taste bud's, but something was definitely different. The filling was not a tasty as i recall. Maybe it's my imagination but it's not a item i must have everyday anymore. This place is great for getting ready-to-go freshly baked goods. I stopped by around 5:30pm on a Thursday to check out the daily offerings. By this time, I wasn't quite sure if I would actually buy something. I wanted to see what they had first and if they were in fact still fresh! And to my delight, they had fresh pan-de-sal (Filipino Bread). I grabbed two bags for about $2.49 each. A great deal! BTW, according to my Mom, it was delicious. Then from the help yourself area with the sliding doors see through cases, I found individually wrapped baked goods. A croissant here, a raisin bread there. At this hour, it was 5 for $.99 each. When asked, the friendly bakery associate let me know they are baked fresh every day and they don't sell yesterday's baked goods. From the refrigerated section, I bought a banana bread loaf and blueberry loaf for $4.99 each and a taro roll for $8.99. Tonight we enjoyed the banana nut bread loaf. Needless to say, there are no leftovers. Overall, I was pleased with filling my pantry with a few items for myself and giving a few to my family members. All for under $30.00! I wonder what new and delicious offerings will be there next time? read more

This is a very small bakery inside of 99 Ranch Market! The bakery is very good when you don't want to travel to westminster. I'm happy they provide the type of asian pastries in corona. I had a taro pastry which was very tasty! It wasn't too strong (although i wish it was a bit stronger). They also have different type of breads. I wish I was able to try everything! I came here with my boyfriend for a little breakfast before shopping for some groceries. I didn't see the wax paper so I just grabbed the plate and tongs. Note, there was no sign that says to use the wax paper. So we grab some buns and pastries and the male cashier was straight up rude and looked so done with us. When he told us to get it next time, my bf misunderstood and thought he wanted it now and so goes get some. However, he said in a stern way "next time". Jeez it's really not that big of a deal. He needs to get some extra training in customer service or something. Besides my terrible experience with his attitude, the bo lo bao or pineapple bun bread is decent. Came here around 8 p.m. on a Saturday night. There weren't many options which I understand, but the labels were all over the place! They were not matched with the correct breads, so I ended up purchasing some raisin bread that I thought was coconut bread... sigh. I hate raisins. Also, the cashier was pretty unprofessional. Something went wrong when she was giving me change and she mumbled "f*ck" under her breath. Learn to keep your composure as an employee in small, stressful situations yo. This Cafe place stops serving coffee at 8:00pm which is an hour before they close, the employee also said that the last time they made coffee Was right before 7:00pm but there was not enough for four of us and he was not going to make more! Bread Farm is generally a decent bakery. They have competitive prices and quality is comprable to to most Chinese bakeries. This location however is just not that great. The entire store opens at 9AM. I have been there on several occasions where the bread is no where to be seen. I would have to wait an extra 30 to 40 minutes to buy them. Many times they run so far behind that they put the breads into the display hot and they end up steaming themselves soft and get all flatten. This is not how a professional bakery should be run. If I was the baker, and I saw how my breads was treated after I had worked all those hours on them, I would be very upset. I would generally not be writing a review solely on qulity / preference. All be it is an insult to the baker in my honest opinion. I mean, people can choose to buy it not. The real reason I am writing is this, they crossed the line today when they chose to start cheating their customers. One of my childhood favorite buns is the classic green onion bun. They presented a new option of green onion with ham and cheese! I mean you can't go wrong right? It was oblong with ham and cheese sticking out the ends and yummy green onion on top! Sounds great, looked great...completely empty in the middle! The ham and cheese was only about the size of cheese balls, if that. They made it look like a ham and cheese crossissant so that you would think the ham was a roll that went all the way across. Completely deceptive in my book. read more

Love cakes and breads so that I came in today around 12:30pm after I shopped at 99 ranch. My bad story started. A cashier works for BF at that time was so rude. After I waited in a line for around 5 minutes, I heard remotely a voice from this guy: " where is your bread tongs?" "I returned it into the cabinet where I took it out". I answered and saw a unhappy cashier's face . "Take it to me and I need to wash it." I took the tong out of the cabinet and had it in my hand and waited for my turn to pay the bill. Still waiting for my turn, after seral minutes, and I heard a voice again from the cashier, to asked almost everyboday around the counter if they needed to check out except me (I have waited around 5-8 minutes and this guy knew I was waiting for checking out) until a lady came to the counter without any waiting directly. And now this male cashier started to tell me, "plz wait here not there". To be honest, I did not see any sign or notice like "return the tongs after use". or "line here". I wasted almost 10 minutes to see how this guy shout again and again to tell me " return the tongs", "check out here"....so so rude I never have had in my life. I was excited to find an Asian bakery in the IE. It's located inside the Ranch 99 store. This bakery resembled 85 degrees in many ways, including the pastries and cakes. I ended up getting their version of my favorite Berrytale, called Mexican blueberry pastry and their hot dog with green onions pastry. I wasn't impressed with their Mexican blueberry pastry. Didn't like the blueberry filling at all. It was weird and artificial tasting. The texture of the pastry was pretty dry as well. However, I did enjoy their hot dog pastry. It was a slightly greasy but had good texture and flavor. Overall, I would come back to try their other pastry or cake choices. The prices are also pretty cheap which is always a plus. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by this place! I had no idea it even existed, but I'm glad I do now! I want to try nearly every cake and dessert in this bakery!
