Just randomly found this awesome spot that my roommate and I enjoyed very much! Staff was friendly and the food came out in 10-15 min. Great burgers. The roommate ordered a basic Cheese burger but I ordered the Farmhouse burger which was a fresh smashed burger patty that also had a country fried steak with 8-10 slices of super thick cut bacon on it and garnished with tomato and finely chop pickle and onion. I think the burger would have been ultra peak if it had cheese, keep that in mind! Roommate got curly fries with his burger that were standard frozen fries and I ended up with the hand battered onion rings that would have been awesome but they seemed to be lacking in seasoning. As we are from the Chicago area it will be hard for us to make it back here but if I ever pass through the area again you best believe I'm gonna stop again! read more

Explain to me how 2 people order at the same time and only 1 gets their food. I was nearly done with my meal and my friend still did not have his meal 40 minutes after ordering. After he already complained I go up and inform them we are on lunch break and he needs his meal so we can get back. The lady goes back and says they are smashing his burgers now and almost ready but failed to just admit they forgot his meal. No sympathy what so ever and not willing to refund a discount. Travelers, be aware, it took 55 minutes to get our burger! They turn off the phone because ,"too many people were calling". Actual quote. We're told AFTER we had paid and waited awhile that it would be at least 25 minutes, which was irritating enough. But 55 minutes? For a burger? I don't care how good it is... Also, our instructions were to wait in the parking lot and she would wave when it was ready. So we are supposed to sit and stare at that window for 55 minutes? Terrific food, surly service. But in a burger joint I'm not here for the ambience. They scared me off the "Farmyard" which includes a chicken fried steak, burger patty, and nine(!) strips of bacon, if I heard rightly. Lordalmighty. Anyway I stuck to a chili-cheese foot long and a small tots. The CC dog was perfect - as good as anything in New York City and I'm glad I got the chopped onions, which I was a little nervous about (onions are often a crap shoot in fast food but these were fresh & good). I regretted my tots when I saw an order of Onion Rings carried past me. They were amazing-looking. Clearly not pre-made, but huge crispy and over the top. Who cares about a frown on the face of the hostess with food that so well puts a smile on mine? read more

Good food, friendly staff and the area is clean. Now you need to be aware that when going through the drive thru you will be asked to park & they will bring it out to you. They won't. They will yell or wave at you to come back through the drive thru to pick it up. Sometimes it's cold when you do because they couldn't get your attention soon enough. I usually end up backing into a parking spot and face them since I detest cold fries! Now when its hot and you get it right away it's good food and worth the wait. You just have to watch them every minute for the signal or randomly drive back through the drive thru, which seems to make them frustrated. read more

Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. My club sandwich was good, though I'm still not certain what meat (looked like chicken fried steak) was on the non-bacon layer. Bacon was deliciously crispy and veggies were fresh. Toasted bread was just right. We ate inside and found the staff very friendly. Restroom is not for the faint of heart but hey, at least a weary traveller is allowed to use it! The BBQ sandwich my husband ordered reminded him of a bbq sandwich he used to get in southern Illinois from his home town Dairy Queen. A bite of our kids' chicken strips proved surprisingly good. They come with lettuce, tomatoes, gravy, texas toast and fries. Real meaty and not coated with a ton of breading. Kids threw ranch dressing on veggies and made a little salad. Fries were average. The food at Bevo's is good. However, if you call in an order and they say it will be 15 minutes or it will be 30 minutes that's the amount of time is should take. Ordered today about 1pm and was told 15 minutes. Had a couple errands so this was good. Got there in 15 minutes and told to pull around back and they would bring it out. Sat there with the car running thinking they would be out just any minute and 10 minutes later I drove back around and asked for my money back. Heard the lady ask the young man that waited on me if he gave me a drink which I assume she planned on charging me for but I would have handed it back to her had he given me one. Don't waste your time. We came here after two other restraints were closed. We thought the line of silverados outside was an indicator of good food. We walked in and ordered from a pretty vast menu. A fish sandwich with cheese for me and the blt for my partner with two sweet teas. We paid, cash, and moved to the dining area. The room was pretty messy but packed nonetheless. I suppose it was due to the fact that it was all teenage girls behind the counter, now the line outside made sense. We sat and waited for our meals, and waited, and waited. I'm ok with waiting a while if it means you are getting fresh made quality items and so I eagerly anticipated my lunch. Upon arrival I was presented with two smashed sandwiches wrapped in white paper. The blt looked normal, nothing fancy in that, they spiced it up with Texas Toast. I wouldn't have paid money for it had I seen someone else with one first. Anyone remember the BK big fish or the whaler before that? Well, I got a smashed version of that.
