I had a hamburger and my wife had a BLT. We had to get the fried mushroom appetizer and everything was great. The breading on the mushrooms was very light and very tasty. The burger bun made my meal. My wife's BLT fell apart but she enjoyed it nonetheless. While I got the meal, it was nice to see some items on the menu that had the option to just get the main item (ie burger) and save some money (or calories). Awesome service & food! Had a BLT with a Salad! Lots of bacon and just correct amount of fresh lettuce & fresh tomato & mayo! The bacon cooked perfect. Not to hard or undercooked! My friend had a regular hamburger that was a nice thick Pattie! So many places give you a paper thin patties. He said it was served on fresh hamburger bun. Poor service and lack of concern for customers health. Not only did they have cross contamination but when a customer, who shows how use a monitor for her health, posted a video on tik tok and her personal page about how disappointed she was that she was unable to eat her meal they owner, owners family, and employee decided it would professional to bash this customer online and are continuing to bully her although she expressed this that it was her favorite place to go. Never said one bad word about this business. Employees are make post on a community page antagonizing this customer and make sure everyone know they cook food THEIR way not at the expense or safety of their customer. Stopped in for a late lunch. Place was quiet and empty but it was also Tuesday at 1. I got the Philly beef sandwich and fries. Plenty of meat was on the sandwich and a good amount of Swiss cheese. The bun was soft and stuffed full. The fries were mediocre at best but the chips and cheese dip were good. The seasoned house made chips were really good. My husband and I stopped on our way through town and got a Santa Rosa burger and a grilled chicken Caesar salad. His sandwich was fine. My salad was disappointing. Iceberg lettuce mix, not romaine, covered with chopped up chicken that looked like it belonged in a street taco, croutons, lots of bacon (why?), and Parmesan cheese. Excellent service and food ! This was my first time to eat at Three Hearts and after hearing others talk about how good it is, I will have to agree with them. We got there just a little before closing time, but they served us with a smile. There were 11 in our party and our orders were mainly the daily special, which was chicken fried steak and two vegetables. Those that got the special loved it. Stopped in Vernon on a road trip. The friendly folks at Hotel Vernon suggested Three Hearts Steakhouse for dinner. Did a pickup order for steak salads, one for my honey and one for me, and spicy fried pickles. Salads were excellent --steak was tender and the components of the salads --grape tomatoes, cucumbers, carrot slices, and red onions--were fresh and tasty. The grape tomatoes were succulent and sweet, the other items crisp and flavorful. The fried pickles were crunchy with just a bump of spiciness. We stopped at this restaurant on our way out of Texas for dinner! Great prices for what you're eating. There were very few open tables at 7:30PM on a Tuesday. We had tried to call and confirm their hours, but their line was busy each time we called. The waitresses were all very helpful and quick to notice if we needed something! I got a half pound burger with grilled onions and mushrooms and it was delicious. I especially enjoyed the sourdough buns. The fries were okay, a little too salty and not crisp enough. My mother ordered an 8oz. sirloin steak that was super flavorful and not dry at all. Note: the sautéed green beans are soft but still taste great. After a recommendation from the desk clerk at the hotel I went to three hearts steakhouse for dinner. A quaint little place, very good service, and I had the chicken fried steak which was recommended and I will say it was probably one of the best chicken fried steaks I've ever had along with the homemade mashed potatoes and gravy and for dessert I had their pecan cobbler with ice cream. Heading to Rowlett, TX from Washington State for my son's wedding and I've been telling everyone the first thing I do when I get to Texas is have some REAL chicken fried steak the way mom (from Shawnee, OK) did it when I was growing up. And boy did Three Hearts deliver on that score! Perfectly cooked and HOT, the way I like my dinner, crunchy crust, and great gravy. Portion size was just right and the entire entree only $12.99. Can't beat that. As far as chicken fried steak is concerned, Three Hearts is my new GOLD standard. I can't believe they can actually be better than this. But wait, there's more. The HOT mashed potatoes were the best I've ever had in a restaurant, period, and to confirm what other Yelpers have said, the HOT fried okra was very fresh and perfectly cooked as well! I almost ordered a second side of okra but my stomach overruled my taste buds because it was filling up fast. I knocked off a star because of the sweet tea though. My daughter was born in Savannah, GA where we moved to after 3 years in Germany. I was introduced to sweet tea in Savannah and immediately fell in love with it. Deep south sweet tea is now my gold standard and Three Hearts didn't make the grade. Sorry, but I have to be honest. Nevertheless, the meal overall was fantastic, the staff very friendly as I've grown to expect in Texas, and I would stop by again on our way back to Washington State, but we will be going thru Vernon early in the morning, so I'll have to try another place for dinner and hope they can meet or exceed the great meal we got at Three Hearts. We stopped here on our way from Colorado traveling to Houston. We called ahead of time because we knew they closed at 8:30 and we wouldn't be arriving until 8:20. They took our name and saved a table for us and told us to "come-on!" Our waiter was Noel and he was super friendly. Our food came fast and hot and was delicious! We have a family of 5 and there was something for everyone to enjoy! I recommend their hand battered onion rings for an appetizer. They make their ranch dressing fresh each day. Nothing like a small town hot spot. After driving through the outskirts of town we finally said, I bet down town near the courthouse will have some food. They sure did. Three Hearts steakhouse is the best place to eat that is non chain. I even asked other guests waiting to be seated if this was the place to be and they all said YES. I went with the 12oz ribeye and like other reviewers have said, it's not a top quality cut and comes with lots of fat, but the taste is spot on! Don't waste your time with the toast and veggies. We were in town with the youth rodeo circuit and had a good-sized group of several families. The locals told us this was the best place in town to eat, and I believe them! Now, the steaks are the prominent entrée, but this was not some fancy, fine-dining experience. The steaks were satisfying and had good flavor, but were in the choice-select range. No USDA Prime beef here. But then the prices also reflect that. In all, we had a great experience. If we get back to Vernon, which is likely, I expect we'll be back. And for me, that says a lot. The four stars for this venue is not comparable to a fine-dining experience. But we had good food and good service. Pros: Good, friendly service; good food, fair prices. Arguably the best spot in town. Cons: We had a big group (17 in all), and the kitchen had a really tough time trying to get everything out together, even though we told them to split the kids and adult tables. Some of us had to send items back to be reheated and a couple steaks were way underdone. Bottom Line: I'd go back in a heartbeat when next in Vernon! read more

Driving through on our way to Dallas and stopped by for lunch. We are eating Keto, which is low carb, we tried the grilled chicken salad and the steak salad. Meat was wonderful and tender, melt in your mouth awesomeness waitress was very sweet and attentive. The only reason I didn't give it a five was the salad was so flavorful, but bits of the lettuce had that taste of bagged salad. Otherwise it was all awesome. We may stop again on our way back home.
