Looked up Mexican restaurants while driving through this town. Decided the reviews were good so stopped here. I had the nachos and added fajita chicken. It was very, very good. My hubby ordered shredded chicken tacos with rice. The chicken was as a little dry which was a bummer. He ended up taking it out of shells and mixing in the rice and lettuce with tomatoes and made a salad out of it which made a better meal. The lime margarita was good for the price! read more

Last minute lunch while passing through Vernon on the way back to Dallas. The restaurant is about a mile off the highway and clearly a local favorite since the parking lot was full, but we were seated right away. Inside has plenty of character with colorful decor that gives it a warm and fun atmosphere. Our table ordered the Enchiladas Crema and the Trio Favorito. The queso on the Trio plate earned the biggest compliments. A great stop for a quick and satisfying meal. read more

Based on the ratings I was excited to try this little "hole in the wall". This place was just okay. I had the chile rellano plate and sampled bites from the street taco and fajita plate. I read another review that said the chips and salsa were so so. I agree. The green sauce was not good and the red sauce was just okay. Another curious thing was that the workers had a dog inside the restaurant that we saw and when they brought it back towards the kitchen we could hear it barking. Ate lunch on a a Saturday. Service was fast and easy. Cool decorations everywhere and a relaxed vibe. Food was very good. I had a taco plate with beans and rice. The food was terrible , no seasoning , bland . I ordered a burger bc there was mushrooms in a lot of the dishes, i had cold fries and we also had a burrito that was honestly just bad it wasn't finished and the red rice tasted like armpits as well as the limes for some reason, i don't know how you mess up a lime . Go to McDonald's if you don't wanna spend a fortune on food that makes your stomach turn. Check your plate because there were hairs in 2/5 dishes we ordered & the waitresses were laughing at us when we said there was hair in our food. read more

Tried this place for the first time today. Their fajita trio is so good!! The side of beans are delicious, and so is their guacamole. We will definitely be going back. Update: just went here again. The fajitas were just as good as yesterday. Also tried the street tacos, as well as a bean burrito with queso on top. Both were good, especially the burrito. We come into town for sports. This restaurant has always been so sweet & accommodating! They have excellent, giant burritos! And on a late night, after other restaurants in town failed to accommodate us, they didn't even blink! We live 30 miles outside of Vernon and my girlfriend ordered food to go to bring home. Upon opening my Tex-Mex enchiladas, they had no enchilada sauce, simply corn tortillas, beef filling and a tiny bit of cheese and lettuce and tomato. This is the second time they have done this. I called to explain the situation, and was told that they did have sauce, but the tortilla must have absorbed the sauce. The tortillas were dry. No sauce. After explaining that to her that that was not the case, she basically called me a liar after lying to me. I asked for a refund, and she said she would need the receipt and the food. I tried to explain that would be a 60 mile round trip and the gas would be the same as the bill, just please refund the the credit card used. After lying to me, she then told me i was not speaking in a calm matter and hung up. Worst customer service ever. Do not order food to go from here. read more
