Joey Ice Cream - Prices & on the bottom weekly daily entertainment - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Altus, Oklahoma

A single scoop is a pretty good amount for the price, many great flavors, and just really nice people. The decorations and seating was just beautiful as well. read more

Yes. 1000 times yes. The creamiest, freshest ice cream and it is always a lovely ambiance with music and friendly smiles.

What a hidden gem right off the main road. The shop is clean, spacious, comfortable, and they have live music almost every evening! Ample parking with seats outside too :) The owner is so nice and he runs the shop alone. Free coffee and water is served as well which is a nice touch, considering most icecream shops we've been to don't. The ice cream itself is delicious. Rich and PACKED with toppings (as you can see in the pic). You can really tell that the owner does not skimp on ingredients, and really cares about what he's selling. Not to mention he gives generous portions as well, very reasonable prices for handmade delicious ice cream! Highly recommend the Cookie Monster if you're a chocolate fan, but you really can't go wrong with any of the flavors! read more

Joey Ice Cream - Mint chocolate and birthday cake icecream - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Altus, Oklahoma

Ordered salted caramel. Disappointed when I was presented with what looked like basic vanilla. It was a ruse. It tasted fantastic- plenty of flavor! Well played, Joey. Well played. read more

Joey Ice Cream - Salted caramel - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Altus, Oklahoma

Not much to add to the excellent comments below. I don't think that anyone mentioned the serving sizes... huge! which is nice. Also, the place is actually named after a racing grey hound, Joeys Ice! As a dog lover and sight hound fan in particular, I was impressed! We got lucky and were alone n the shop with Joey for quite a while. Had a great talk about the history and sadly the decline of dog racing. Another thing that no one really emphasized as much as deserved.... this place has a heavy bistro vibe. Between the decor, live music and laid back atmosphere it's almost like a 60's coffee house thing. You almost expect Hoyt Axton (greatest ever Okie singer song writer) or his cousin Arlo Guthrie to show up on open mic night. read more

Cute ice cream shop in Altus! The owner is a very nice man and even sang happy birthday to guests who came in to celebrate with ice cream. Good ice cream too! read more

Joey himself emerged from the freezer, wearing a cape made of frozen whipped cream. He whispered secrets to the ice cream machines. Rumor has it that Joey's Ice Cream is run by a secret society of flavor wizards. They gather under the full moon, chanting ancient incantations. Joey is an ice whisperer, just stare into his eyes and he will recommend the perfect flavor. read more

Good ice cream but to loud the service was alright and it was clean but overall great food/sweets

Wow wow wow, we are very impressed with this ice cream shop. The owner and who I'm assuming is his son are incredibly kind. They make everything homemade and take their time to treat each customer respectfully. We'll be regulars after this! read more

Joey Ice Cream - the front of the building - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Altus, Oklahoma

Excellent ice cream and service! Joey is extremely professional and passionate about his craft!

Best Ice Cream in Altus, hands down. Joey Ice Cream opened up less than a week ago, and I am wholeheartedly impressed by their quality of ice cream, ambiance, and service. I've been there twice since, and have been equally impressed every time. All the ice cream is made by the owner in-house, which explains the high quality product. I've enjoyed the Reese's Peanut Butter Cup, which was a spot-on description. My personal favorite was the Coconut, which contained ample bits of shredded coconut throughout. Overall, it was a happy surprise that I stumbled onto this treasure of an ice cream shop, and I'm sure they will become an Altus staple in time. read more

Wow, such an amazing ice cream place! Really spacious place and extremely great ice cream! I got the salted caramel and it was so smooth and silky! They had a great limited edition flavor called Frankenstein with chocolate, brownie and chocolate chips. Highly recommend. read more

Joey has done a beautiful job with this place... so welcoming, roomy, tastefully decorated. BUT.... the gelato is OUTSTANDING!!! Can't wait to try other flavors! Handmade with ALL NATURAL INGREDIENTS, I had the best pistachio ever. Perfectly balanced. I tasted the chocolate... perfect dark chocolate flavor. So many choices it's hard to decide. Reasonable prices and very clean. Don't miss out on a great place for dessert, anytime!!! read more

Delicious ice cream. Positive, pleasant environment. Rose who works there is very nice and pleasant. It is a touch in the pricy side though. That's my only reason for four stars. read more

If you want to find high quality ice cream. Look no further. I highly recommend this ice cream store. Clean environment, friendliness & they're so welcoming. High quality ice cream, gelato & sorbet! Only place I'm getting my ice cream, gelato & sorbet from now on. read more

Decided to give this a try rather than going to Braums as we normally do. We are so glad that we took the chance. Joeys has a relaxing and comfortable charm that is not only welcoming, but makes you want to stay and listen to the soft music. The hand crafted gelato and ice cream are second to none. Each creative flavor is hand crafted with love and it really shows in the product. This is definitely our family newest obsession. I tried the cherry cheese cake gelato and it's flavor is better than you would have expected. It's a perfect balance of sweet and creamy. We all hope that this place is here to stay! read more

This place is awesome! Some of the best variety in flavors I've ever seen from an ice cream shop. On top of the normal flavors we all love, they also had several really creative and mouth-watering ones. I tried the oatmeal cream pie ice cream, and it was delicious, creamy, and well-made. Joey was really friendly and seemed genuinely happy to chat with me. The store was clean, and there were tables inside and outside, making it the perfect spot to enjoy something sweet regardless of the weather. Truly an outstanding experience! read more

Great service - very friendly! Clean, simple, and inviting decor with options for seating at tables or couches. My family of 7 all tried different flavors of ice cream, gelato, and sorbet. The kids' scoop option was plenty for each of us and reasonably priced at $4. They make everything fresh in house. They even have live music several nights a week. Come on over! You won't be disappointed! read more
