Update: Went back for the Chicken Pad Thai. Phenomenal. Sweeter than any Pad Thai I've ever had, but I liked it. A blend of the peanut sauce with a dash of sweet and sour. Ordered a "6" out of 10 for my spice level, which was perfect. Cut the sweetness a little bit and gave a nice zing. Best pad thai in all of the midwest. I've been living in OKC while my hubby is stationed in Altus and whenever I visit we go get the pad thai here. The wait times can be long so we always call our order in 20-30 minutes before going (that's late afternoon on a weekend, the waits are longer on weekdays at lunch time). I recommend ordering their pork pad thai with extra pork and extra egg. It only costs a tiny bit more for extra and is fantastic. They also happen to have the best donuts in Oklahoma. The in-laws live in Altus, and discovered this place on our most recent trip. I haven't had the fried rice yet, but the donuts were delicious! Made fresh, they were nice and Kristen on the outside, and soft on the inside. A pleasant surprise was the Boudin Kolache (yes, I know they're officially Klobasneks). It had a nice spicy kick, but not overly so. The staff were friendly and very welcoming. Will be our go to donut place when we're in town. read more

The donuts are amazing! And appear to be home made too! That's pretty awesome. I also ordered fried rice and chicken pad Thai. I think the entrees tasted okay. The fried rice was a bit more greasy than I like. The chicken pad thai could have more flavor. You can choose your spice level from 1 to 10. I chose a 5. So maybe I should have chosen more spicey. It appears to be a family owned and run business. The owners seem to be very friendly and appreciate all of the customers. I typically don't like pad Thai; however, I'd come here every week for it! It was delicious! My husband went back for donuts and absolutely loved them so much he wen the following week and bought for his coworkers. I highly recommend eating here. Went here based on the reviews. Those who have been to Altus know food variety is hard to come by. The combination of Donuts and Fried Rice seems a bit odd. I went not expecting much and was pleasantly surprised. The decor is it much to look at a few tables and some stools at a bar. The place was very clean and all the food in the cases are well displayed and organized. The whole place smells of delicious donuts. I ordered the Beef Fried Rice #2 spicy. My friend got Beef Fried Rice #4 spicy. The staff was friendly and prompt taking our orders. The down side it took 30 minutes to get our food though we knew it was fresh so that was actually a plus. Seems lots of people knew that orders take some time so they had called ahead or take it to go. This seems like the smart play if you don't have much time. Food was very good. The Rice was moist and not sticky. All the veggies were of good color and not blanched out or mushy. After lunch the smell of the doughnuts got to me and I got one, it was outstanding! A table near us got Pad Thai and they said it was very good with #10 spicy. They also have breakfast sandwiches, kolaches and burritos. Drinks are by the bottle. Good value for the amount of food we took some home. $10 for a huge plate of Fried Rice and a soda. I definitely recommend this place and will go back. read more

My favorite spot in Altus!! I've tried their fried rice, fried noodles, and pad Thai and you literally cannot go wrong with any of them!! I'm not the type to order fried rice when I can easily make it at home and cause most of the time I'm not impressed. I was impressed!! Though I will say my Asian card needs to be taken away cause this gal can't do spicy anymore lol! I got a two and it was enough to leave me with heartburn lol! I've also tried their cronuts, donut holes, chocolate glazed, and custard filled donut and enjoyed all of them! The bread they use for the kolaches is so soft and tastes great! I was so intrigued by this concept when I first saw the sign driving into Altus. My job brings me to the city of Altus 8+ times a year. After my 3rd visit, i figured I would try it. I'm glad I did! The donuts were great, but the fried rice was wonderful! I came near the end of lunch time so there wasn't a huge rush. Word of caution: if you decide on shrimp, be prepared for them to be unpeeled. Not a huge problem for some, but don't be surprised if you bite in and it's crunchier than you expect. There are several tables as well as barstools set up by the window. Bottom line up front: they have excellent pad thai, and this has become my favorite place in Altus. I'm only in Altus for a few months for Air Force training, but I've spent a lot of my time here going through the local restaurants - I've come here more than any other restaurant. They definitely specialize in a few things, as evidenced by their menu. Their Pad Thai is their best dish, and I like it better than anything else I've found in Altus (and there are some gems out here). The fried rice is good, but fried rice is difficult to differentiate across restaurants). The donuts are fantastic, with a pleasantly soft, slightly doughy texture. I'd prefer these over donuts from Krispy Kreme or Dunkin. The spicy levels are Thai spicy - so expect to start breaking a light sweat at 3, and in increasing amounts from there. For a scale of comparison, medium wings at Buffalo Wild Wings are probably a 3 or 4 here. A 5 compares in spiciness to the Caribbean Jerk, 6 or 7 is pushing the Mango Habanero area. read more

Excellent Customer service and prices. I was a little wary of the concept when I first saw this place open, after all fried rice and donuts aren't too similar but they do both perfectly. Best donuts in town hands down, every variety is perfect, both in consistency and glaze. Their food selection is great and we haven't had a bad meal yet.
