Just finished eating lunch here and wanted to get online immediately to recommend. My husband and I are modern day gypsies and when we get to a new place we always like to try a cheeseburger from a community spot. Roberts Drive-in did not disappoint! As soon as we arrived we knew we found the spot. It was crowded with locals and military from the nearby AFB. In the kitchen we could see the chef skillfully maneuvering on the griddle. We ordered and our food was delivered in wax wrappers, reminiscent of the burgers I ate in the Pennsylvania Poconos when I was a kid. The cheeseburger was the best I ever had from a restaurant and trust me we've ordered them from France to Napa, California. We know good cheeseburgers! Recommend getting yours with the bacon. This is already going to be a regular spot for us, and I'm so happy it's within walking distance of where we are staying at the moment. Roberts is a hole-in-the wall located in Altus, OK. This place stayed super busy. People were in and out with to-go orders. This place stayed full the entire time we were there. Service was excellent. The server constantly wanted to insure we had everything that was needed. I expected the burger to be fresher. My patty tasted as if it had been frozen. Over the weekend I had a not so great experience here and wrote a review about it. I came back on Monday because I was determined to give Roberts another shot and see what the all the hype was about. The moment I walked into Roberts I was greeted by a woman who had read my review and said she wanted to make things right. I was shocked that she recognized me in person based off of my yelp picture. You can tell she cares a lot about the business and that my initial experience wasn't indicative of how they want to treat their customers. Very popular place for the BEST (grassfed Angus) burger in Altus. Homemade desserts(delish), friendly service and specials everyday. Lunch only except Fridays which go thru dinner time. How has this escaped me for 16 years. Guess they keep a secret tell well around these parts. Should have known cause the Highway Patrol and Police all eat here. Look at the pictures, this is back home old school burgers and fries. You can tell it great just finding a place to park, next is the mouth watering smell walking in the door. Find a table and sit. Don't hog the big tables for 4 if there are only two in your party. Service is 5/5, cleanliness is 5/5, and the food is 6/5!! Friendly, welcoming, fast service. Tea sweet and Unsweet is top notch. Burgers remind me of growing up, thought Dad or Mom had cooked them. So Old School!! Got an XLCB extra large cheese burger, so good. Fries done right. Great service. Hand made burger patties that were delicious. Sometimes gps apps will lead astray but it's right next to Papa John's on east broadway street. Pretty small and shack like from the outside, but don't let the looks fool you, because it has awesome food. Bout 11 tables give or take and it gets pretty packed at lunch time so come quick, and come hungry. The burgers range from small to extra large. read more

$$$. Ummm yaa. I haven't eaten here in about a year. Maybe the last time I did I did not pay attention to the prices? Maybe? Probably..because 16 dollars for two cheeseburgers and 2 drinks (no fries), is outrageous. So did the prices go up in the last year? I don't know, in any case I wont be going back. There are, well ALL of the other places in town are better priced. You want a bangin bacon cheeseburger with drink and fries or massive onion rings go to Freds. I can honestly say that I will never ever return to this business again. I went there today for the first time and was treated very rudely. I ordered a large burger with everything on it. I handed this elderly lady my debit card and she said in a loud voice, "You're card was declined " I told her that was impossible because there's several thousand dollars in my account. She attempted to run it again and repeated "You're card was declined " quite loudly. I attempted to explain how she should correctly run my card but to no avail. Finally a middle aged woman told the elderly lady to forget it. So since I was embarrassed and humiliated I will never attempt to eat there again, so they have lost a new customer and I intend to let everyone I know how I was treated. read more

No wonder this place is always busy! I was craving a good hamburger and I got one. The prices are great, staff friendly and the burgers have that homemade feel. They also give the option to have tots instead of fries and if you chose the fries, you can get them with cheese! Definitely a good lunch! read more

Really wanted to try this place based on the reviews. Buuutttttt. At 230 I'm the afternoon you can't eat inside. All the chairs were up on the tables and they said they are only doing to go orders. To bad if you don't live in town. Too hot to eat sitting in the car and not eating a burger while driving. May try next time or maybe not. read more

This place has the best onion rings in town!! Its definitely a small mom and pop burger place but the burgers and price are great! Two XL burgers with fries, a side of onion rings and two large drinks, all for $17!! I would get the XL burger because the regular is pretty small. All things considered in small town Altus, these have to be my absolute favorite burgers and fries in town. It's good and quick the waitresses are sweet girls. My fiancé and I both agree this is probably the best burgers in altus. They keep it simple but the meat has good flavor and that's really what makes or breaks a burger. Plus it's $20 for two people to grab a bite... That's not bad in my opinion. read more

Yes! Yes! Yes! This is good drive in food! Highly recommend! I ordered the large cheese burger and it was very good. Also, got the onion rings and they were very good and NOT greasy. Also, the place just brings back memories of yesteryear and highly recommend. Good service too. While my menu choices were limited as it was just one visit, the folks that I visited with there said they were regulars and everything was good.
