April was the absolute sweetest and super personable right from the start, walking me through the menu and what they have. While I will say it might be on a little bit of a pricier side, the food and coffee is well worth it! More than just a coffee shop with all they have to offer here. I wish I would have discovered this coffee shop sooner! It's just such a warm and welcoming place. The workers are always so friendly and so kind. The coffee is great, but I have been getting the honey vanilla chai tea and it's addicting. I love their pastries too. I've been trying to make it for lunch but they stop serving lunch at 2 and I'm always off after 2. But if you're in Altus or up at the base I would recommend swinging by this cafe. Being a city girl moving to a small town, this place gives me that cafe vibe I've been looking for. The coffee is great, the food has good flavor and texture, and the service is warm and welcoming. Thanks for having me! I ordered an Iced Turtle with half the flavor because I like it light, and it reminds me of the Iced Mocha I used to get from Starbucks. I also ordered the Turkey Avocado Sandwich. They serve fudge and baked goods here too. I think this is a great spot for brunch with friends. If you want a great flavored coffee bean, freshly ground...look no further! This place has a superb selection, super perky, friendly staff and owner! I had the Vermont maple coffee and a delicious homemade cinnamon roll, then had them grind me a bag of Vermont maple to go. The wife had a large Carmel Kiss coffee, said it was perfectly sweet and smooth...no cream or sugar needed! Will definitely be back on our next visit. Best coffee stand in Altus. Being here, temporarily, from Seattle I knew it would be difficult to find a good iced, soy latte in such a small town. I was pleasantly surprised to find this gem. My only complaint is the hours, the drive-through closes too early. read more

What a lovely place! It smelled divine as soon as we walked in. Had the chicken salad salad (my friend had the sandwich) and both were delicious. I highly recommend the spicy ginger chai (I had mine iced) -- positively decadent. I ordered a pound of their Adventurer's Blend coffee, because how could I not with such an enticing smell! We were nearby for a retreat at Quartz mountain and needed a coffee fix. Drove 30 minutes and walked in to the smell of coffee and we're greeted by the kindest staff! They were great about my dairy allergy and made the best matcha! We even brought our class of 15 back later in the day to write in their cozy space and the staff was kind, quick and very accommodating! Next time I'm nearby I will definitely stop in! read more

Uh , ya, Its just ok. Not really as good as the "other place". Coffee is just ok. They close way to early, about like the rest of downtown Altus. "Shop Local" but we close at 5! Or this place that closes at 6....That's when most people get off work or whatever and are looking for tasty beverages...The staff is great and maybe that's what the owner wants for a business model but I have to disagree. The policies have put the place (as well as the rest of downtown) way out of touch with the needs of the customer. read more

This is what a coffeeshop should be like! Two seating areas, one dark and cozy, the other spacious with big windows. It has everything you want in a hangout - books, puzzles and fudge! Hooked on the coffee, and lunch is tasty. Customer service is A+ and you always feel recognized and appreciated. The owner herself works as a team members with employees. Not a bad atmosphere. The brewed coffee was pretty weak, my wife's cappuccino was, "milky, watery" as opposed to potent and frothy. As we sat we noticed that everyone seemed to order extra shots in order to bring the strength up to normal levels. Maybe we'll order better next time. read more

First time we went, it was like we left altus. I almost didn't believe such a great place could be in this rinky dink town. The service was great, the coffee freshly ground and french pressed at our table, and the food was delicious. That was on a saturday. On tuesday, we went again at about 1130. I was quickly reminded that this was no Seattle. The girl at the desk didn't know how long the coffee had been sitting in the pot when i asked for a specific brew. I ordered one i could make myself instead and she grinded the beans so finely I got a mouthful of grounds as my last sip of watered down coffee. Will come again, but won't be risking it on a tuesday. I was in the establishment today and I think it was the co-owner of the restaurant (she was the older lady of the ones that work there-dark hair) was rude to this Vet-FOR NO REASON. The Vet asked one of the ladies for some ice and the lady went and got some ice and the owner was like is there something wrong and the customer said no why do you ask that and the owner was like (motioning with her hands) you seem mad and angry, look at your face, you look angry ... she said it in a condescending, arrogant way and I didnt like the way the Veteran was being talked to. I was there with a friend of mine (also a vet) and could hear a little of what went on-I was a little ways away but I heard enough to know I will not be going back to this establishment. She was a total bitch. She upset that lady so bad the lady did not even eat her food she put it in a to go container. Ridiculous. If I could have given her a negative 10 I would have. read more
