I have been going to Bills for 45 years now. My grandparents used to take me to Bills as a child. Now I will drive over an hour out of my way every time I go to Oklahoma. My family lives in Houston now but we still go to Bills at least twice a year. The thin cut catfish is the best. I would probably drink the tartar sauce if they would let me. For a restaurant in the middle of no where it was an interesting option for lunch! Apparently people come from all over to dine at Bill's. We were traveling on business and one of our co-workers in Frederick, OK suggested this place for lunch. Right off the bat we knew we had to try the Frogs Legs as an appetizer. We also chose the Steak Fingers - both came to the table piping hot! We had to wait until they cooled down. I ordered the Half Order of Catfish with Onion Rings. My counterparts decided to go with the full order of Catfish with fries. Then another Half Order of Catfish with fries - that was plenty of food. I would recommend the Onion Rings, fries hmmmm they are fries so nothing new. The Frog Legs were really good once they cooled! My colleagues liked the Steak Fingers and accompanying gravy. It's doubtful I'll make way back to dine there again but it's worthy for a first time visit read more

Second time, after a long time, is a charm! Service was top notch and the food was delicious! They accommodated our big group and without a problem split our bill. I'm born and raised in Southern California and if I'm gonna eat catfish, it's at Bill's!! I always thought catfish was nasty and tasted dirty - until I visited Bill's for the first time. Wowee does their fried catfish taste incredible! I literally wait to eat catfish until we're in Waurika at Bill's. It is that good! Bill's opened in 1962 according to the brick there at the park off Main Street. My husband (age 65) remembers his grandparents talking about a new restaurant that opened up at the edge of town when he was young. Why has Bill's lasted so many decades? Because it is friendly service and delicious food! My husband was born in Waurika and we visit every year. His parents met there & all of his grandparents lived there and grandparents are all buried at Waurika Cemetery. His maternal grandfather was Bill Fechtel and he was the phone man. If you're anywhere near Waurika, do yourself a favor and stop by Bill's for some delicious fried catfish! I like it thick cut and their servings are so generous that my husband and I split an order. Also, they have incredible hush puppies and even their coleslaw is good though most coleslaw at most restaurants is forgettable. I look forward to dining at Bill's every time we're in Waurika. I got the Fishermans dinner. It was allot. The sevice was very accommodating and on top of everything. This was my first time there. The place feels very comfortable and the parking lot was packed. But they had plenty of room. Now for the food. The carfish was good. The shrimp was awesome. The stuffed shrimp was so hot I burnt my mouth so don't know how that taste. So I love eating at Bill's fish house when I am traveling to Texas. They have some of the best fried catfish around. I really wished they had one closer to Oklahoma City. I had the bills basket with 2 chicken items I had grilled cajun seasoned chicken tenderloins, crispy chicken tenderloins, and French fries. All were awesome. my dad had the catfish, and French fries he rated it a 9/10. the service was awesome my server was Frances she was very kind and helpful. she never let our glass get under half empty she had a great attitude... the kind of attitude to that we need more of in waiter/waitresses in restaurants today. I have been going to Bill's for over 45 years with my parents, sister and her family, and my family. The food has always been outstanding and consistent. I have not been in several months and just got back tonight. They have made changes and not for the better. To start - hush puppies. Their vendor went out of business so they have a new one. The hush puppies are OK but not like the old. The new ones are slightly bigger and heavier. The stuffed shrimp are either different or not cooked long enough. I believe they are different. Not so great. The catfish and the fries are still the best ever. If they change this, I wont go back. I will only order the fish from here on out. read more

The service was good, but the food just wasn't. $18 for 3 small pieces of fish, 3 shrimps and a handful of fries is ridiculous. Everything from the cole slaw, the fried pickles, the hush puppies, chicken and fish were bland! I spent $40 for supper just to go home and have to cook because my 2 year old wouldn't even eat anything there. We most likely won't be back. The thick cut fish is as good as I've ever had. The regular cut fish is just too much breading and not enuff fish. The fries, hush puppies and cole slaw are very commercial-nothing special here. The frog legs are fresh and juicy. I just can't figure out why they keep offering me gravy to go with them. The service is very professional and friendly. read more

I've been eating catfish here since I was a little kid and believe me you can't find any catfish or shrimp that even begins to compare with it. And the people are wonderful, they really care!
