Ok, 4 stars for. Tex Mex drive thru chain. Got the chilada two thumbs down, plain, no spice, the cheese wasn't even melted. The super nachos were super. Get the jalapeños on them. Very good. Huge amount which is good since they are NINE DOLLARS! I enjoyed them! read more

It's the cheese! There is no evidence of this meal. It's too good to capture in photographs. Why? The cheese! I always get a bean burrito, basic tostada, a casa delight and a giant iced tea. This meal will definitely break your calorie budget, but you won't have to worry about your bank account. You can fill up for less than $10. The bean burrito is ewy gooey and perfectly flavored with the mild (red) sauce! The tostada is basic, but also extra... piled high with refried beans, lettuce and a mountain off the best cheese ever. Casa delights are a cinnamon/ sugar chips... yummo!! We hit the drive thru on the way to the airport. Service was speedy. The staff was friendly. The order was on point. I have already reviewed numerous Taco Casa's and have never been let down by any of them. The food quality and customer service is phenomenal. My only complaint is they haven moved down south yet. I have eaten the whole menu and it's all good. They don't really do the whole gimmick thing. A smaller menu with perfectly made items puts them on top. Well I guess I have to take more trips north. I LOVE TACO CASA but... this location has the rudest service. My order of 3 crispy tacos ( my favorite in fast food business usually ) well 2 tacos had broken shells and hardly any cheese which isn't the norm! Told/showed the young lady to whom gave me my order. She giggled and said they taste the same. I stood there looking at her blankly and she finally asked me after a few seconds if she could make me two more. Which I said yes of course! Turned around and told the gentleman making the food in a soft voice that I was picky and needed two more tacos! He looked over at me with a shocked when I said ; you know I can hear you right? We have eaten at Taco Casa locations all over Texas. This is the worst one ever!!! We ordered in the drive through because we were traveling, got a few miles down the road opened our sack and we were so mad. Our Super burritos were a huge pile of mess, not rolled up, at all and stone cold on top of that. You couldn't even pick them up and eat them. We had 3 tacos and all of them were broken...we asked for onions in our burritos and they honestly put about 1/2 cup of onions on mine. So disappointed, won't be back to this one.... read more

Passing through and there was another taco place across the street but this place had like 8 cars in line so I figured that meant it was good. I got the bean tostado and a bean burrito. Tostado was substantial- couldn't even eat the burrito! Yum! read more

Oh my. The notion that Taco Bell would put Taco Casa out makes me giggle. Taco Casa understands that it's OK to put cheese on things. Taco Bell, OTOH, simply shows the bag of cheese to the food, and then puts it back in the cooler. Yeah they may be cheaper, but then a handful of dirt is cheap too and who wants to eat that? Taco Casa has a love affair with cheese. Get one of their $1.09 tostadas and you'll see what I mean when they slide that tray across and you get a look at the 2 inches of shredded cheese smothering your order. The building is usually dirty, and the broken toilet seat that jabs me in the butt when I have to pee is most unpleasant, as is nearly every kid that works there, but I don't go to Taco Casa for ambiance and service. It's all about the cheap Tex Mex drowning in an ocean of cheese and a particularly tasty hot sauce. If the day comes that Taco Casa of Vernon must close it's doors because the residents prefer Taco Crapo, I invite them to relocate to Pampa the following morning. read more

I have eaten at Taco Casa in cities all across Texas. It's probably the best Mexican fast food and the most expensive. But it's usually worth it. The store has some front end personnel problems. They struggle taking an order and when the order is ready, it just sits on the counter before they call your name. read more

Fed my family of 5 for $16! Food was fantastic and fresh, and unlike other places they don't skimp on the cheese. Restaurant and bathrooms are clean and service was friendly. I'm definitely not from this area or anywhere near here, so when my boyfriend introduced me to Taco Casa I was absolutely in love! I was amazed by how much cheese and meat and lettuce they stuff into one taco! I usually get full after eating three or four tacos but I can barely finish two tacos from Taco Casa! I'm not really sure why people are complaining about the quality of the meat... It's a fast food place so I think expecting high quality meat is hysterical. They have one type of taco sauce that I know of and it is absolutely amazing! It is very spicy after eating a few packets with your tacos. I also enjoy their sweet tea! I always end up getting a large cup of sweet tea; I'm not sure if there are other sizes. I can't comment on the price because I have never actually ordered or paid my own meal (my boyfriend picks up the tab and orders for me). read more

Decent food, but RUDE workers. I believe at Mexican places salsa should come with your meal especially if the meal costs almost $10. When I was charged $0.53 for salsa to eat with my $8 meal, as I paid I told them nicely with a smile on my face that I normally have a policy about not eating where common condiments should be complimentary (at least the first one).
