We've been traveling all day from Pensacola, Florida, and while we don't eat fast food often, it's something we actually look forward to on the road. I even told my husband this morning I was excited to have McDonald's for dinner. Unfortunately, this stop couldn't have gone more wrong. It wasn't busy when I placed my order at the kiosk, and the food itself didn't take long. The problem was the milkshakes. They needed to change out the ice cream bag, but instead of handling it, the staff kept serving other customers. I stood there waiting... and waiting... while at least eight other orders were completed before they finally addressed it. By the time I got everything, my food was cold and the fries were limp. The chocolate shake was basically a vanilla shake with chocolate syrup poured in, not mixed at all. When I tried to drink it, it was watery and nothing like a milkshake. Honestly, I should have trusted my instincts and walked out when I saw how messy and disorganized the fry area was. The whole operation felt chaotic. Slowest place ever. Stopped for an order of fries and a smoothie, had to wait just to order, couldn't even leave because I was in the drive through. So there went 15 minutes, paid at first window, they handed me the smoothie at the 2nd window but I had to pull around a long with everyone else, and there went another 15 minutes. The guy came out, with my fries, walked towards me, could have handed them to me, but instead, heard someone he knew say his name or something, then turned around and talked a while then came and tossed me the sack with my order of fries. I don't have the highest of expectations when I stop at a McDonald's on a road trip, honestly. So my review is from that point of view, I don't expect them to cater to my every demand by any means. However, I did kind of expect to receive my sauce (they asked me which flavor I wanted in the first place) especially when both my husband and I have both ordered the 10 piece nugget meal. But the food attendant didn't give us any! In fact she threw everything in a paper bag and shoved it out the window at us. No napkins were given either, cool cool. I had two in my glove compartment anyway! NBD. Also, the payment attendant took our card, handed it back and shut the window. She didn't give us a receipt, ask if we wanted one or even say anything for that matter. Okay, we took that as our cue to move up to the food window. Our food? Our meal was hot and fresh! We ordered door dash- about doubled cost of order. That was ok except our order was so messed up I had to to drive over to fix it. It couldn't b a problem, but kid has dairy allergy and burger order specified no cheese-there was cheese. Also missing an order of fries. There were no napkins or straws in the order. If I could go into the negative stars this would be the location. It's been awhile since I have been to this location and it was horrible. The staff was rude and one employee was extra horrible. One employee cleaned and only cleaned. The drive they was extremely busy and that's what we should have done maybe there would have been more attention to our orders. This is the worst location I have ever been to We stopped with a baby in tow to eat to witness the employees screaming at each other. One employee decided to get on the phone while trying to work. She clearly was belligerent to the other employees. We ordered nuggets and burgers. Numbers were called after our order. When we went to check on it; we were told they had called the number. They had not. Then we witnessed this woman grab a box of nuggets; dropped them on the floor; picked them up and put them in the box again and gave to us. When we confronted her; she lied and said she put them in the waste bin. THIS IS A FAMILY BUSINESS!! We should not have to listen to cussing and her discussing her being in prison!! If you're on a road trip, this is one McDonald's location you definitely want to skip! For starters, the drive-through line is ridiculous and is designed so it goes through the neighboring parking lot. Very inconvenient. The wait is horrific and the staff doesn't even know how to use the coupons on the McDonald's app. (They told me to go around the building for better signal or something, when I had the code pulled up on my phone already and haven't had an issue using it anywhere else.) I think it took half an hour from the time we arrived to get our order. You'd think being busy would mean the food is be fresh, right? Wrong! My wife's chicken sandwich was petrified and everything else was room temp. We both agreed we wouldn't stop here again, even if it meant we had to wait. read more

If you are driving through Vernon, Tx be sure to eat anywhere but here, you will regret it if you choose to still eat there. If you are elderly and use a walker or cane or are unsteady on your feet I would not advise even stepping foot in this place for fear that you may get seriously injured. They do not change out the oil on a regular basis in the friers because they are lazy. Your food orders will always be wrong/missing items/etc. Always ensure you get your receipt and check it for being overcharged and make sure you have it in case you don't get something you paid for. Many times I haven't gotten an item I paid for and they are such creeps that they will accuse you of being a liar and want to see your receipt. Also never order delivery from this McDonald's because when they forget your items or make them wrong you will have to fight tooth and nail to get a refund and it will be exhausting. Half the time the McDonald's app for delivery doesn't work and will be having technical issues so the store doesn't receive your orders. Just don't say I didn't warn you and tell you exactly how it is but you can see for yourself if you don't want to believe this review. read more

When my bf went in to correct it she acted so pleased to fix the issue an said the whole time it was possible to just do what I asked, so she said let me go get you a BACON EGG AN CHEESE MUFFIN. THIS IS WHAT SHE GAVE HIM.. ITS SIMPLE TO AVOID CONFLICT IF YOU LISTEN THE FIRST TIME AROUND. WELL OKAY. WELL PLAYED. THIS HAS NOT BEEN THE ONLY TIME THINGS HAVE GONE TERRIBLY WRONG. The quality of the food at this particular restaurant is the same as any other McDonald's. The service was very slow and I'm not sure if it was because we got there when it changes from breakfast to lunch or if they were understaffed. Sunday, August 16th, my husband and I were passing through and stopped to get some lunch. We ordered 5 small hamburgers and 2 medium fries. Three of those burgers were dry and the buns were flat and cracked, some pieces were falling off. We were hungry and ate them all. Within 45 minutes, we were both starting to get sick. My husband recovered the next day, but not me. I'm still sick and Wednesday, I had to call my doctor to get an antibiotic and an anti-spasmodic. Fortunately, I am feeling a little better. We will NOT ever go back to that McDonald's. I highly recommend no one goes there, before the owner and manager make some changes. They need to be inspected by the health department, asap! They put cheese on a burger after we specifically asked that it have no cheese, the iced "coffee" was just milk and vanilla syrup over ice- no coffee was added. Girl in drive thru window was rude, and scoffed when I asked her for straws, napkins, and ketchup- since she failed to put any of those things in with our order. The outside of the burger box was covered in grease, like it had been dropped in a pool. Had to park and go inside to get the order fixed, which took 20 extra minutes, during which time employees were audibly fighting and cussing at each other behind the counter while we waited.
