Love BevMo but not every location is equal. This place carries the most mixable friendly mescal, Vida - so smoky and smooth. They carry limited stock though so sometimes I'm out of luck. Like 8 bottles each order, I think? Plus after this review, likely less luck ;) oh well, the people gotta know what's good. read more

Recently came in here for a keg for The Super Bowl. I was a first time shopper here and was amazed by all the different types of beverages they sold. Defiantly a beer lovers heaven. Overall the customer service here was great. I was instantly greeted and the employee answered all my questions regarding how purchasing a keg works etc (my first keg). He even took me to the back and showed me all the different kegs they had in stock and the pricing. Excellent customer service at the time of purchase and when I came back to return the keg and collect my deposit. Would defiantly reccomend. read more

Great prices and great staff. Been coming here for years. Started with the wine and beer tastings held on Fridays and Saturdays here in Pasadena and felt welcomed by the great community of regulars who were willing to pitch in to share a good bottle together every so often. It was a great welcome to the Pasadena community and have been coming here ever since. Gloria and Chris are both great staffers keeping the friendships and community of patrons together. Props to all. read more

I remember the layout before the remodel and I am pretty impressed with the new layout of the store. They are stocked up with a great selection of all spirits and a nice array of snacks. Great deals on wines. And the parking is way better than Trader Joes across the street. read more

Poor customer service. I just spent $175 and they would not accept a coupon for $10 off that expired a few days ago. This is just poor customer service. Do they want to lose a customer that spends $150+ every time I shop there? BevMo should re-think how they treat their customers. This is a lame procedure their part! With so many other options out there, I will definitely not be back! read more

This place has it all....well everything I want anyhow. Beer that I only had in Texas has been sold at BevMo all along. Who knew? Certainly not their staff, which is my only complaint about the place. In fact if you take your time and really look around you can find what you want without help. From your well to the call brands this place has it. Come on people its a booze supermarket and, I'm betting that this place has inspired many yelps. I know it has on some of mine. Not to mention they have cool supplies for all your drunken needs. read more

This location is conveniently located and well-stocked. I always feel good about giving someone a gift card to this place, since they carry a wide variety of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, as well as food. I also like that I can find sweet Marsala wine when I feel like cooking with wines. (See the Best New Recipe from Cooks Illustrated, page 339 for my current favorite chicken with Marsala wine recipe.) I can't always find Alaskan Amber or Pete's Wicked Red beer at the grocery store, but BevMo usually has it. They also have a bunch of fancy waters if you need to impress friends with your bottled water collection. I don't normally buy a lot of cheese and crackers, so I can't really comment on the quality or selection, but they do try to make it easy for you instead of making you run all of town if you're in a hurry. All in all, a great store! Easy parking, too. read more

My wife and I went here today to buy some Champagne. Danilo helped us. We were impressed with his knowledge of champagne and his ideas for which champagne to pick to round out our taste testing party we are having. We were especially impressed by his recommendation to choose a bottle that was a little cheaper than the bottle we were thinking of getting because he thought it would work better w the champagnes we were taste testing. Also the prices here are great! Thank u Danilo for your help and for being awesome and Thank u Bevmo. We will be back!! :) read more

Went there today after reading the reviews, I went in and found some of the stuff on my list one thing that I wanted was out of stock. The store is set up well so you find what you want fast and the staff is really helpful. I love it especially the little Stoli Chocolate bottles YUM!! read more

I have not examined in depth the range of this store, like does it have every single malt you can imagine. What I do know is the service here could not possibly be better. Daniel Garcia took extraordinary care of our needs and won our forever loyalty. read more

The place to go for wine, beer, and everything alcohol. Great selection to choose from and nicely ordered in aisles. The have a gift section with glasses, cork openers, wrapping paper and coasters. Not many employees on the floor so hopefully you can follow the signs and figure it out. Very reasonable pricing. They have some sale items right in the front if you're just looking for some cheap booze. read more

How can you go wrong with a place that carries a wide selection of fine California Red wines. We're not talking Superior wines but defintitely premium. I like a good "later years" bottle and Bevmo Pasadena is always well stocked. I wish they would carry the Klinkerbrick 2012 Zin again. read more

How can anyone not like BevMo? It's an alcoholics paradise. The prices are decent and they have a good selection of quality Scotch Whiskey (my personal fav). We even ordered our keg here and they were very accommodating. If I ever meet the person(s) who started this place I'd give them a big hug. read more

This is the only spot I can find my bottle of Brachetto and Carr's wheat crackers together. I can find the Carr's at cheese stores & other places but no luck on the Brachetto. I love it so much, so I have to stay fully sticked at all times & BevMo comes to my rescue. They also have the great 5 cent wine deals, a variety of cheeses, crackers, spreads, beers & anything you might need for a party that is refreshment related. read more

I've always liked BevMo. They manage to keep all their stores clean and in order. You can find whatever it is you're looking for with ease because their stores are always well organized and this store is no exception. I came in before grabbing a cupcake at Dots right up the street and liked the selection I saw. I ended up walking out with a Purple Haze which was cool because I hadn't seen them ever since I had gone to Whole Foods down in SD. read more

Knocking off a star since they no longer price match. TotalWine has much better prices - at least on what I shop for.

I haven't been to this BevMo in years. I was excited because I tasted a new wine at my restaurant and thought this place might carry it. When I went in though and searched, I saw they carried a red from the brand, but not the white I was searching for. The reasons (plural) I'm giving one star is because (1) when I went up to a clerk there and showed him a pic of the wine I wanted he said "no we don't carry that wine. It's not popular at all. We would never sell a wine people didn't buy". He rolled his eyes and walked away. Now I'm feeling like sh!t because apparently I have bad taste. (2) Then I went to the beer aisle and they didn't have the St. Archers White Ale I wanted. AND THEN (3) I went to the water aisle, and the selection was CRAP! No Sole, no Tynant, not even Evian. But if you want Voss or CRYSTAL GEYSER you're good. and finally (4) when I got home and took everything I DID buy out of the box they supplied-there was a huge dead cockroach in it. Thank you I don't live in squalor-that bug was IN THAT DAMN BOX FROM THE START. Stick to Mission Liquor on Washington, or even your local Vons or 7-11 for better service!!! This place is all DOWNHILL, read more

We walked in here and instantly became giddy. It's like a giant toy store for grown ups. I lost my guy for a while in the fancy beer section as he handpicked some craft brews. I had a good time looking at some "artisan" (can I say that without coming off douchey?) spirits. One of the staff was super helpful in helping us find a scotch and tequila that we'd like in our price range. He spent a lot of time with us without making us feel like we were wasting his time -- a quality that every retail person should have but sadly most do not. We also picked up a bunch of wine there -- the selection is huge and can be intimidating, but it's very well-organized by varietal or region and there are tasting notes for each bottle. I'll definitely be back. Hopefully not too soon since we spent a gazillion dollars there. If we needed to go back soon, then I'd say we should stop by a 12-step program on the way. Make sure to sign up as a BevMo member! read more

Always great service. Went to get a couple of gifts and a person stalking up was really helpful, stopped what he was doing and walked me to the item I was looking for. Really rare you say that. Going to keep coming here. read more

Why do people like BevMo?! I'll admit that buying huge liquor bottles here can be a deal when you're not within driving distance of a Costco, but their 5 cent wine sale is B.S. They charge you twice as much for bad or fair glut wine and then make you think it's a deal when you get two for one. Also, Wilfred Wong does NOT count as a credible critic!! He's BevMo's critic! Of COURSE he's going to give their wine good ratings. Ugh, ths place takes people for fools...great if you're just getting into wine, terrible if you know what you're doing/drinking. read more

Update: Chris also knows a ton about craft beers if thats your thing. Went in to go get some as gifts with very little information other than the recipient "likes blonder ales" and they were all a hit. Yay! Previous Review: Go see Chris!! Went in with my mom to buy Ouzo... walked out with Ouzo and 4 new bottles of wine that we love thanks to Chris. We told him we were looking for a cheap but good wine and talked a bit about what flavors we liked. He led us to some great wines with great prices and was VERY knowledgable. I asked him if he was studying to be a somm, it turns out he is and is studying to be a level 3! (That's pretty crazy for those of you who aren't familiar with the levels of sommeliers). I usually buy from whole foods or wherever I am at the moment, but will start frequenting bevmo more, especially if Chris is there, he's just that great. read more

I only come here as a last resort because of the poor service at this location. Most of the staff give the impression that they aren't terribly knowledgeable and that they don't particularly care. One of the cashiers in particular is the worst. The last time I went, she spent so much time talking to one of the other cashiers that I had to keep interrupting her to process my credit card. She didn't seem to care that there were other people waiting in line either. I then found out later that I was charged twice for the same item, probably due to her lack of attention. I appreciate the wide selection of items here but now I'd rather support my local liquor stores who provide much better service and cheaper prices. read more

BevMo has won me away from Trader Joes for most of my wine purchases. I'm not a big consumer, maybe two bottles a month (is that a lot?), and I'm price-sensitive, so I'm always looking for that $18. bottle of Chard for ten bucks. The 5 cent sales are a good opportunity to stock up. I used to go as low as 89 on the Wilfred Wong scale, but after one bad experience, I now look for a good deal on 91 or higher. This location shares a big free parking lot with an office supply store, so one stop nets both spirits and ink jet refills with easy in and out. Checkers have all been efficient and helpful so far. read more

oh BevMo, how my liver hates thee. but my wallet cant do without you! ever since im signed my life away to you club card i have never wanted to go anywhere else. i'm not a wine enthusiast, or an alcoholic, or a thirsy person really... but if im having people over for a little drinking session then i know where to go. huge ass bottle for cheap, even cheaper with the BevMo club card. their wine selection is so overwhelming... i have tried a few different ones, but i always go back to my white zinfandel. i bought my first (and only) drink book here... i look so pro with the pouring-of-bottles and snazzy drink-making for the homies. thank you BevMo. thank you. read more

Busy as I expected because of what day it is... they moved fast and luckily the cabinets were all open so we didn't have to wait for someone. One thing can spoil it for everyone...The cashier Brittaney has horrible customer service. She sounded like a broken record as if she was forced to say hi to the customers. Not one smile, find everything ok, or even check my ID. Once I was done with my transaction she pushed the receipt to me on the counter and pretty much saying "you can go now" no thank you, have a good day, or Happy New Years! Maybe this is why on the bottom of the receipt says "now hiring" read more

Sure, the wine seems selection seems decent and quite cheap, but I cannot stand this place. There are many other, much better options to pick up your wine/ beer/ liquor needs in the Pasadena/ Eastside/ Glendale area. The beer selection is bland and I never really found the need to get a wine from here. Get some good alcohol at Red Carpet Wine and Liquors in Glendale, or maybe even Galcos in Highland Park and skip this place. read more

Forgot my printed coupon on the printer at home. One would think the manager could override and enter the 15 percent off my over 500 dollar purchase. One would also think the manager would add cashiers when the is line growing and there is only one cashier on duty, on a busy Saturday afternoon, Over the years I've spent a lot of money at this store. Never go there no more, and the options are plentiful. read more

I spend A LOT of money here, too much money. It's my go-to place for all my boozing needs. I can even take the gold line!

everyone who works here just stands around and does nothing. i needed help figuring out the prices on some of the meats and cheeses (nothing was marked!! no signs or anything!) and there were 4 employees congregating and talking and ignoring me!! but the selection is great.... and pretty reasonably priced. read more

Love this place! I have been a Bevmo member for several years now and I have no complaints. We except that they sometimes are out of stock on some of the wines that I like. That's just a minor thing. They have an great selection. I usually stop by when I need to stock up on alcohol. Got to keep my wine rack full. =) The service is good. The staff is always helpful. Also, they have 5 cent wines sales from time to time too! Can't go wrong with that. They currently have this sale now. You buy one bottle of wine and the second one is only 5 cents! Crazy huh? One of my favorite wines is called Tapiz. It's from Argentina and the Merlot is great! I normally try different wines from various wine makers and area from around the world. This is definitely the place to go to! Enjoy and have a glass of wine! read more

Such a helpful staff, thank you for helping me pick the best beers for a really specific party theme! You guys are the best!

I'm biased because of the location. I can walk here if I wanted to (but I don't). Great source of alcohol and other goodies for a fair price. The wide variety of beer, wine, and liquor you can get here, all under one roof... can I just walk in with a stein or a wine glass in hand? I promise to bring my own chips and cheese... oh wait, they have that too! read more

My husband and I bought a couple of cases of wine here during the 5 cent wine sale for our wedding in July. Service was great and very helpful. We tasted a few wines on Saturday during their regular wine tasting hours (I think its $2-$3 to taste the wines they have out, and includes cheese and crackers) but they were willing to open other bottles not out for the tasting since we were buying cases. We like to come on Saturday afternoons and wine taste with Chris, but they also have beer tasting on Fridays! Its way cheaper than going to happy hour and you get to taste way more beer anyway. read more

Great place. Bigger than than the Burbank BevMo, with better selection, & noticeably better service.

They have a good selection but you can find better prices elsewhere like Trader Joes and Mission wine and Spirits.

Huge selection of kind of beverage imaginable! Staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Get the BevMo Card ... it saves you even more money and they have great special discounts! read more

Wow, what a horrible experience I had at this store yesterday from start to finish. I was in the Pasadena area, and decided to stock up on wine. The BevMo website has Meomi Pinot Noir (delicious) club price at $16.99 per bottle. I entered the store, and then found two sealed cases of what I was looking for. Next, I went in search of a store employee, which was a challenge even though the store was completely empty at 11am. There was a guy behind the cash register on the phone, but he did not seem interested in helping me. Then I found somebody else who I asked to grab a hand cart. Two cases of wine is pretty heavy, even if you are only lifting to and from a shopping cart. Anyway, the guy completely ignores my request to get a hand cart and goes to an area where he thinks he will find the wine I want. So I said "Hey dude, the two cases of wine are right here." He comes over, and now he's got attitude because he was wrong about where the wine was, and somehow that is my fault. Just to show me up, he grabs both cases of wine simultaneously, and then takes it over to a shopping cart near the cash register area and drops the wine in a cart. OK, whatever. Next, the cash register guy has attitude because I am attempting to purchase about $500 worth of wine and he is acting like he does not want to be bothered with the effort to ring me up. I asked him what the case price per bottle was. He opens up one of the sealed wine cases, and scans a bottle. And here is where things get interesting. Apparently the wine is $28.99 at the store, regardless of quantity purchased, if you are not a BevMo member. If you purchase a case (12 bottles) of Meomi Pinot Noir at Ralph's, it's only $16.99. It's $18.00 at Whole Foods with the 20% discount if you purchase a case of 12. I told the cash register guy this, and he gave me one of those looks like "who really cares mister." Seriously, it should not matter the dollar amount of your purchase. Large or small, you should get good service without the bad attitude. And do not charge me an extra $10 plus tax per bottle on 24 bottles. So I left, drove to Whole Foods, and saved $10 per bottle plus tax (at WHOLE FOODS no less) on the exact same wine purchase ($261.60) and was given courteous and helpful service. That BevMo store sucks, no wonder it is empty. read more

I really like the location of this place. It has great selection of you guessed it, beverages! You get a good deal on drinks and there's plenty of parking and the staff is really helpful and nice! this is our household's to-go location for all our adult beverage needs. they carry a variety of delicious craft beers and is usually a few dollars cheaper than other stores. even when whole foods was sold out of anchor summer beer, bevmo! had a few six packs still left! also, take advantage of their sales. penny and nickel sales are amazing here. i usually stock up with a ton of wine when those happen and we are good for the rest of the year! sign up for the bevmo! card. its free. you get discounts. you don't get emails. read more
