Nicely organized, but lacks customer service. I was just standing waiting to get helped while workers were busy talking in conversation. The conversation was not even work related. Didn't acknowledge I was there to begin with. When you work in retail the average think to ask a client is, are you finding everything okay, hello, do you need help looking for a certain product, or how could I help you. Not even a Hello or a Thank you. Why are you even working there if you don't have people skills. You guys need to work on your customer service skills and act like you care. And it would be nice to thank a customer after a sell. I'd actually enjoy shopping there if you guys at least try a little harder. Not that hard. read more

This is for the Pasadena location - They have lots and lots of alcohol. It's a warehouse sized place next to Staples on Arroyo Parkway, which is good for me, because I ALWAYS buy copier toner and booze at the same time. Anyways...they have lots of booze of all kinds. I come here and I usually look at their craft beer selection, which is great, but with a place as big as BevMo, they could do better, I think. They have plenty of twelve packs and bombers, but nothing really rare...everything they have is from the bigger breweries like Stone, Flying Dog, Port, Anchor, Mendocino and so on. No surprises really. Their selection of whisky is always great - they usually carry stuff I've never had before and I always enjoy new ways of getting drunk. They also do tastings here, I've been here a couple times and been offered free liquor. Their wine selection is also pretty decent, but doesn't come close to some other places around. This place is best for large purchases for parties, rather than finding some hard to find item. read more

Awesome selection and excellent prices! Get yourself on the mailing list if you like wine! They have a 5 cent sale a couple of times a year. If they don't have what you want talk to a manager and you might find it the next time you go. With a Club Bev Card you will save $$$$$$. read more

Wow! What a place. This is Disneyland for adults. Great selection and very organized Kaos. ALways busy. It is a little tight but 10 pounds of flour in a five pound bag. They have everything you are lookig for to have a good time. Wine, beer and Spirits from all over the world. Empolyees are always busy but very helpful. They talk about products with passion. They know their products as if they have tried them all. Great place and a must see! read more

Bevmo, This store has all kind of liquor for your parties. I have benn there only a few times to buy kitche gadgets, if you are a person who has a cheap taste for wine like me, but have friends or aquaintances with a expensive taste for wine or any kind of liquor, or champagne, this is the perfet store for gifts. You will find a $500 bottle of French Champagne or more expensive, you name it. I like to go there even for window shopping.. read more

I live in Pasadena so I've been coming to this BevMo ever since it opened. There's another one on Foothill Blvd. but it's a little bit smaller. This one on Arroyo Pkwy has a bigger selection. Prices are good and there's always something new to try. Sometimes beer can still be cheaper during supermarket sales or buying at Costco. I always come here for my hard liquor needs though. Also, the BOGO-for-5c wine sale is awesome. Thanks BevMo! I wish the store didn't close at 9pm though. read more

This place has improved a bit in the past couple of years. The staff is MUCH nicer than in the past. They must have hired a new manager or boosted morale, but it makes the shopping experience that much better. That said, however, Mission Liquor still beats BevMo any day of the week, except Sunday, when Mission Liquor is closed. read more

Extremely high prices! I bought 1 margarita mix for $ 15 and a 2 pack at SAMs club is $13!!! They also don't take returns at all! You're better off shopping at rite aid, Walmart or SAMs club for alcohol! read more

Bevmo sells bottles of Seagrams Gin that are defective. I bought a bottle from the store in Pasadena on Arroyo. I got it home and it literally exploded in my cabinet. It went everywhere and ruined my cabinet. After numerous emails no responsibility has been taken and my furniture, not to mention my hard wood floors underneath are damaged. Thank goodness the cabinet had doors and nobody was injured. I have pictures if you want to see what I'm talking about. Beware, I'd hate to see anyone hurt or endure the damages to property I have. read more

Just a warning: I went in and bought a $25 gift card for a relative and when they went to use it only $14 was on it! Embarrassing! It totally looked like I was giving them a used card! Of course the receipt is long gone and the card was sent to northern california so I wasn't expecting to be refunded BUT I did expect to get a little more than a "meh" response from the manager! He told me that it was not possible for that the happen and that's that. Real nice. How about an "I'm sorry for your inconvenience" at the very, very least? That is some awful customer service. Thusly, my advice is to really make sure your gift card is the right amount. I think most recipients probably wouldn't tell you if they got a half value card and you'd just look like a big cheapo! read more

Not a good idea to shop here for gifts. They do not exchange even with receipt. Only the original purchaser cam exchange.

Awesome customer service. Drew was amazing. Very helpful and very patient considering we bought a buttload of alcohol. This location is near my home so it's perfect. Excited to be coming back! read more

Good place to go for craft brews and imported beer. Some of the staff there are real beer geeks. Loads of other imported spirits too. Though I'm not sure if the prices are good. Probably not worth the trip if you're looking for Bud light. read more

Nice deals after Christmas! I just stopped by today, and was not looking for anything in particular. However, they have some nice holiday promotional packages, most of which are liquors that come with promotional shot glasses, or nice drink mixers, for the same price as usual! So basically you get some free goodies while the holiday supplies last! A nice deal they always seem to have is the $19.99 Smirnoff handle! read more

I came in today to buy some....well what else. I have an account. And my friend said there's a coupon for $10 of $50 purchase. I haven't been receiving emails. Because I don't like causing the standstill at the register I asked another employee if I can use her coupon also. She said yes. Just tell them to update your account there too. So I go up there to pay. I tell them I want to update my account and use my friends coupon too. So Eric, the cashier asked another employee for help. He said we have to use my friends account to use the coupon again. When they updated to my friends account the coupon didn't work. It told him I asked someone first if I could use it and they said I could. He asked who and I pointed to the girl. He didn't even ask her. He said call customer service. I can't do anything. They should at least honor the coupon since I am a member and members get that coupon. Thanks for that great service bevmo. Service like that makes me want to drive further to go to total wine instead. read more

Bill, our wine specialist, was a delight to work with in planning the wine offerings for our wedding. As a trained sommelier with years of experience, he was considerate of our budget, flavor preferences, and the dinner menu. With each wine, he provided a short background on the vineyard, the wine's flavor profile and his reasons for selecting it. All of the wines he chose for us were very much in line with what we usually enjoy. In fact, I liked these wines even more than some other more expensive wines we've had in the past. With his help, we settled on a cabernet sauvignon, sauvignon blanc, and a champagne. All of his wines were chosen from the $0.05 sale selection as an added bonus. He also helped us decide the appropriate number of bottles to order but never pushed us to order any more than we were comfortable with. Nonetheless, we did order a few more bottles than we were expecting to need so we could take some home to keep after the wedding. I'm looking forward to coming back again to seek Bill's wine recommendations. read more

The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable of their wines, beers, and spirits. I came by before the Thanksgiving festivities to stock up on some of my favorite brews (Belching Beaver's Milk Stout, Modern Times Stout, and Fuller's 1845). Considering how Thanksgiving wouldn't be complete without and Thanksgiving Turkey, I thought I would pick up a few bottles of white wine. I had an idea of the type of wine to pair with our dinner, but was conflicted about a sweet, bitter, or dry finish wine. I asked one of the employees - a young, blonde, fair skinned woman - about pairing possibilities and she was more than willing to help. Long story short, I ended up picking up a few bottle of Robert Mondavi's Chardonnay at a discounted price since there was a sale going on. It seriously has to be one of my favorite stand alone wines. Thanks again to the BevMo staff and their helpfulness. You guys are awesome! read more

Everything you could want- alcohol, cheese, glassware, alcohol, caviar, party snacks, obscure sodas...and did I mention they sell alcohol? LOTS and LOTS of alcohol. I don't know what people are bitching about, every time I have been to BevMo (us cool kids call it that), I have found more friendly and helpful people than I even needed at the time. I have a tendency to wander around, all wide-eyed, and admiring all the lovely alcohol they have. Need help finding some rare beer you tried at a dive bar in Utah? They can help you. Need the perfect gift for the wine connoisseur in your life? They can help you with that too. And my newest discovery? They have fun wine-tastings on Saturdays, for only $1-$5 (depending on the wines being poured)! I've been shopping here since it opened, and I knew OF the tastings, but never bothered to get any details. After reading Cresta's review (thanks!), my dad and I went here for a little Sat afternoon tasting and it was surprisingly very fun! The girl working the tasting was friendly and generous, and they also serve crackers and cheese with the wines. We tried 8 wines, including one champagne and a very good Pinot Noir. I will have to go again, since the wines are always different and they have special tastings for beer and liquor. Check out the BevMo website for the schedule, but don't believe the timeframe- it says 12 PM to 3 PM but we were told at the store that the tastings usually get started around 1PM and go until 4 PM. Cheers! read more

Very overpriced. Whatever I've bought here I later found for much cheaper pretty much anywhere including Costco or mission

Great selections of booze! Always fun to shop for BevMo deals and pick up a keg or two for house party!

The staff is friendly and very forthcoming with info when asked. Bill steered me to a very nice whiskey in trying to choose a nice one for a whiskey drinking friend. Amalie, Arnel, (sorry I forgot your name. You are a very pretty Afro-American girl) was very nice upon checkout. Who couldn't love the 5 cent wine sales? read more

This location has to be the most poorly managed BevMo in the metropolitan Los Angeles area. Their beer manager has no idea how to keep fresh stock on the shelves. So many of the microbrews on the shelf are way past the expiration date. When you bring it up to them they pay lip service to do something about it ("we take this very seriously") but do nothing. The beer selection here is very limited in comparison to the BevMo and East Pasadena, and ANY of the Total Wine More locations in Southern California. Plus there's only ever one register open EVER; this evening the line was six people deep. Go to the other locations or better yet just go to Total Wine who ironically has a much deeper beer selection, plus you can build your own six pack to try new stuff. read more

I am sporting a huge smile because of the experience I just had in my local BevMo. While standing in the Cabernet section I received a friendly greeting from a Bev Mo team member. He was so warm that I decided to ask him to help me choose a wine. I told Bill about a superb wine that I enjoyed when I was a guest at a friend's posh country club. I knew the name of the wine and I also knew that I couldn't afford it. I asked Bill if he could recommend something that may be similar at a lesser price point. Bill was a great listener. He was patient with me and he explained the wines in a manner that I could understand. He offered some great recommendations. I was excited to see that his recommendations were included in the sale! I left with two wines (four bottles) What an experience! What a joy it is to be helped by someone who obviously cares about people! Bravo Bill Gotti! Thank you for an excellent customer service experience. read more

came at 4:30 place was crowded. my partner went to the wine tasting, they told her she couldn't have it because it ends at 5. this was well before 5. we complained and they had some weak excuse that they were "slammed" noticed that their prices are inflated. sodas that sell for $ 1.49 were $2.99. kirin beer is also sold at an inflated price. i'm not sure whynthis place exists, but we declined to purchase because they insisted we "join" their rewards program to get any discounts. that is not a discount, they are just buying your information. never again. the wine at smart + final will do us just fine, and no asking for us to join their bs fake rewards program. read more

I just got the best service here! Berenice helped me choose a sparkling wine for my daughter's Quinceañera tomorrow...in and out within 20 minutes and best of all within budget! Happy day! read more

This is an update to my previous review, this place is just great with their customer service!!! Finally got my whiskey I've been waiting for (you really have to search far and wide for in California to get that whiskey [LeadSlingers]) this place with a doubt said, "hey we don't have it, but we will place that order for you!!" Damn good whiskey!! Didn't wait long and damn good customer service!!!! read more

Very disappointed. In checking out, they asked for ID and unfortunately my dl was expired at the time but on the process of validating. Thus I was refused checking out. In my knowledge, liquor shops only check the age appropriate not my dl license validity. Is it my ID expiration erased my age that appear in my ID? I don't think so, Im still 42 and legitimate adult lol! read more

Had a very bad experience here. I was hosting a super bowl party with my boyfriend and we needed a keg tap/pump cause the one that our friend brought over was broken. I called this BevMo and asked them if they would rent or sell one to us. They said that they would. I made it very clear to them that we were not in need of a keg but instead just the tap/pump. We were on a tight schedule cause there was a lot to do to prepare. They assured me that it would be no problem and that I could rent one from them. I sent my boyfriend to pick it up but when he got there they REFUSED to rent or sell one to him. They said that they only had enough for the people who were renting kegs and that if he wanted one he would have to buy a whole keg of beer! He told them that we had called and specifically asked about this and that they had assured us that it would be no problem but they just stood there like idiots. No solutions. The manager was just as unhelpful. Plus he was kinda jerky about it. My boyfriend was livid. They wasted our time and didn't even apologize. We will never shop here again. Dumb employees who don't care about their customers. I'd rather go to Vendome any day of the week, anyway. read more

Horrible customer service. Tall manager with a beard is the worst. When I mentioned a minor thing with a cashier to him, because he was STANDING THERE AT THE TIME, , he became fully condescending, almost mocking me. SO. WEIRD. Hey BevMo, guess what? When a customer complains about bad service, the first thing out of your mouth should be "I'm sorry". Period. read more

Not always the cheapest, but they have an enormous selection and it is the place I go to for the hard-to-find beverages.

When I retired, I bought a second home in Kentucky. At that home, the Bourbon selection is unlimited. Long time BevMo customer, I asked for a Bourbon not in stock. Talked to the Manager. Next time in the Store, they had it! And they must sell a lot of this brand, because 5 years later, it has it's own place on the Bourbon aisle! read more
