Solid BevMo to solve most of your alcohol cravings. I'm more of a beer person so the wine variety is more than enough for me. The 5-cent Wine Sale (Buy one at regular price, get a qualifying bottle for 5 cents) is the way to go to make you money go the farthest. Their regular prices aren't the lowest in the area. You need to sign up for their BevMo card in order to get this deal though. Their beer selection is less impressive but they do still stock a decent set of craft beers. I'm an east-coaster and was disappointed to only see one type of Allagash beer. Their east coast beers were much higher priced than I remembered paying for, but I guess that's what transportation costs will do! This location is easy to navigate and the different types of drinks are labeled accordingly. Staff was super helpful with wine-newbs like me, so don't be afraid to ask, they aren't snobs. Parking and shopping aisles can get crazy during holiday times. read more

The closest Bevmo to me. Also conveniently located across from a Trader Joe's. Score! I usually come here if I want a particular wine or just beer. They also have small shot bottles of different types of alcohol. Good if you want to use them for a certain food recipe but don't want to spend a lot on the whole bottle. Service is whatever. Cashiers could smile a bit. Other than that, it's a place I'd come back to. read more

Very cramped looking once you walk into the alkie aisles, but they have pretty much everything...just gotta look for it or ask the employees! Prices are quite high, especially the non-alcoholic things (chips are way too pricey, and lemons at $1 each? No thank you!) but I guess they are targeting the ones who have no time to drive to a separate grocery store. Do yourself a favor, plan ahead, and get all your alkie/food needs at Costco, but if you find yourself in a (drunken) rut and need more alkie...this is the place to go. read more

their 5 cent wine sale deserves 5 stars alone!! BUT, here's a little secret for beer drinkers: bevmo sells cases of mystery beer, 24 bottles for $15.95. it's a mish mosh of beers that have lost their partners in transit. i've gotten cases with modelo, fat tire, amstel, belgium beers, and more. since i'm not really a beer drinker i don't recognize all the brands, but with the help of my male friends i've always been able to tally up the "estimated" cost for my mystery case AND it has always been well over $15.99! read more

I love BevMo for their selection, but the price is a bit steeper than other places I have shopped. For example, bottle of Grey Goose was $28 there... and on sale at Ralphs for $22. I would rather shop at Mission in Pasadena. read more

I love me some BevMo! I can find everything I need and then some. Staff is friendly and attentive, prices are not too bad and I always find something new and exciting. I wish there were more locations and that the aisles were wider, but I'm still loyal to the O-G. read more

Another stop on my quest to drink and Yelp my way through my new neighborhood. There are few words that make my wino heart sing more than 5 cent wine sale! This is the wonderland for winos! I stopped by and purchased several bottles of sparkling wine that were part of the sale. I would tell you what fantastic sparkling gems I bought, but then there would be less for me ; ) The staff was friendly and helpful and they had alot of booze stuffed into a fairly small space. As with most BevMo locations this one has a great selection of liqueur, wines, and craft beers. read more

Terrible service! Sales associate Mike was so rude when I asked for help. Instead of walking me to the wine I was looking for.. He stood in front of the isle and yelled out to me where they were n when I passed it he came n showed it to me, "it's rt here!"picked it up n slammed it back down!! wtheck. Don't get upset because I didn't see it. If he just walked me to the bottle I wouldn't be writing this review. I wasn't going to give my money to them but apparently this bottle (earl stevens) is hard to find. Boooooooo service read more

Disneyland for adults (drunks) as I call it. Still my go to place for my drinking needs. Great place to find harder to find liquors and beers. Also like the gift sets they sell around the holidays. Sometimes u get the bottle and some coasters or glasses as the same price as the regular bottle. Will I be back, of course I will! read more

this one sucks ass... not that i ever was much of a fan of begmore to begin with. They never stayed open long enough to be a liquor store nor cheap enough to be a discount wine market. Especially, at this location you'll feel like you walked into a smart and final. In general, I have a better time at Cost Plus or Trader Joes. The staff here are rude, unattentive and not knowledgable. I must have some nasty shit growing on my face cuz when I walked in I could have sworn the emps were trying to ignore me. When I finally flagged one down after I showed him my sexy legs he didn't know what a Vacuvin Wine Stopper was.... read more

I purchased all my alcohol from BevMo! Pasadena for my wedding. I made sure to take advantage of the 5 cent wine sale and purchased my wine and sparkling wine even though my wedding a couple months down the road. I know, they don't have the best prices in town for the random crap you need, but they have a pretty decent selection of beer, wine, and liquor, and at the very least they are never overpriced above retail on things you can find outside of BevMo! What surprised me was the customer service. It was extremely pleasant to deal with all the customer service people here, especially the assistant manager Megan (as well as the store manager, but i forget his name). Even though i purchased the wine early, they took it off the shelves and stored it until it was ready to be delivered. They'll give you a 5% discount on the alcohol purchased if you make a big enough purchase. They even deliver the alcohol to location free of charge (as long as it is reasonably close)! This BevMo! is being managed by great people and they are setting the standard for all other BevMo!'s. read more

I like the selection at Bevmo. Unfortunately, to get a decent price, you have to sign up for a Bevmo card. I don't like giving them information about where I live, or my e-mail address, and then if I want to buy something maybe once or twice a year, I have to guess what my password is. In the meantime, they send me weekly e-mails, which I have to trash and ignore. So overall, I want BEVMO to know that their CLUBCARD is the reason I choose to shop elsewhere. As Groucho said, "PLEASE ACCEPT MY RESIGNATION. I DON'T WANT TO BELONG TO ANY CLUB THAT WILL ACCEPT PEOPLE LIKE ME AS A MEMBER". And that's a shame, because otherwise I really like their store. I would recommend Trader Joe's for convenience; COSTCO has a worst selection and far better prices, and lately I've been shopping at K&L in Hollywood, which has at least as good of a wine selection. read more

Best place in the world. I'm sure alcohol here is cheaper than anywhere else... and if not, at least all the alcohol (that ever existed) is situated in this store! My favorite is Leinenkugel's Sunset Wheat (beer which they also sell at Ralph's but for $10.50....) for $7.99. yumyumyum, don't forget to register for the Bevmo card! You can get some great rewards back if you're a heavy drinker :) read more

I came here on Christmas Eve, and parking was an absolute horror. Half of the inventory was gone, and the lines were tremendous. However, the cashiers moved the line along so quickly. As for the inventory and the prices? This BevMo isn't the largest, so supply is limited. For these prices, I'd much rather go to costco or Total Wine read more

5 cent wine sale! Who else has that jingle stuck in their head? Although the sale selection isn't so great, I was able to find a sweet petite sirah and smooth cabernet. Wine sale or no wine sale, BevMo is my go-to for my adult beverages! read more

Boozer Central. How can you criticize such an emporium of quality hooch? Ok...so I have one complaint. The people that work there don't know what they stock. Franziskaner was a brand of heffe that we were told wasn't being sold by Bev Mo. WRONG! They had it. We found it. We told them. Aside from that, well.....um...yah...the place sells shit I need to keep me alive. As I type I am drinking a lovely boyfriend mixed concoction similar to a Cuba Libre. But way better. He's an ex bartender, what can I say? Me likey! We love the place so much that we jump off the train on the way home and take a tiny trip to Bev Mo, pick up the goods and reboard to our destination. If only Goldline would allow two-stop shots we would ride the train everyday. Even it it didn't take us to our job! read more

This place racially discriminates. Last night got there at 9:01. They were closing. Door locked. Guy stands there and wouldnt let me buy. No problem. But as i'm leaving. I noticed two asian girls walk up. They asked if they can get in, they guy ended up taking their wallet through the door. Took their order and gave them a bottle through the door. Just moments ago he wouldn't let me, a hispanic girl make a purchase. Hmm what was the deciding factor for the difference in policy? Is that even okay to sell alcohol through the door to someone? Think I'm lying? Check you surveillance vid. 4/10/2014. 9:00pm to 9:15pm. I dare you. read more

Yamazaki 12 Year Old single malt Whiskey. Sold here - not for the $50-70 you find it at other places who happen to have it, but for a little over $40. They don't have the 18 year old, but they have just about everything else - including a few varieties of absinthe. This is the only place to buy liquor - unless of course, you want to buy it outside of Bevmo's business hours. read more

I like this one... I always come here for the buyone, get one 5 cents sale. Drinks Large selection as usual, but I like how they have a lot of good vintage wine. A lot of vintage wine choices. That's why this one is good. Service Ive been up and down with the employees here. More up than down... There was once when I forgot my credit card and the guy ran out to give it back to me! So sweet. One guy helped me find some wine coolers (for a party). Other times, I've been ignored. Location Tons of parking Ambiance Standard Overall, good store read more

Can't believe I didn't review this BevMo for their PartyMo services! A bestie of mine used them for her wedding, so based off of her recommendation, I did the same and it could NOT have been any easier! We went with this location since it was the closest to our wedding venue. They were really good at keeping in touch via email. They made as many revisions to our order as we requested and even recommended certain alternatives to items that would save us money. The drinks at our wedding were enjoyed by all and we had tons of leftovers that we were able to return and get refunded for. Our main contact was Megan and she rocked throughout the whole process! If you have an event coming up that requires a lot of booze, BevMo's PartyMo services are where it's at! read more

Oh, alcohol, is there anything you can't do? This place reminds me of Costco or Home Depot. I really don't enjoy going to either of those places, but sometimes it's necessary. However, like HD and Costco, people seem to bring their children. Um, why? I know that my peers like to parade their kids around like trophies, but why here? According to the sign, though, it is permissible to bring children inside if accompanied by an adult 21 or older. They have small soft drink section and some food items, but hubby, wife and three kids with the dad having a kid hold the margarita mix is just a little funky to me. Ew, and one evening, there was this dude with 30 in his rear-view mirror, with these two girls that were around 19 or 20, that he was clearly procuring for. It's not my job to point out the obvious and they have a security guard dressed like a park ranger hanging out there. And some of the patrons are so sour faced. You're buying booze-crack a smile, why don'tcha? We aren't buying vitamins and salves, baby. I do like independently owned wine stores, but the sheer size of the BevMo is evilly seductive. And I have a fascination with flight bottles. A) I like small versions of regular sized items (shampoo, flatware, booze, etc.) and B) I can try something new paying less than I would at a bar for a drink and without buying the full sized version. I was craving a wine I tried at Goudas and Vine called Pomelo and it turns out that BevMo has it in stock. I haven't tried anything during the 5 cent wine sale that curled my toes, but I haven't tried all of the wines in the store, either. I find in these tough economic times, I can no longer poor out wine if it sucks. It now becomes sangria or gets used in marinade or marinara. read more

I'm not a wine enthusiast, but every other day, I (admittedly) do enjoy a glass of Merlot, Cabernet, or any medium- to full- bodied wine to calm my nervous energy (symptomatic of those born under the Rat sign) =) Husband, on the other hand, is a diehard. And he can consume a bottle of red in two days, sometimes in one day, w/c compelled me recently to just sign him up for a Phelps Preferred Original membership; Grace is too convincing =) On to my review: This BevMo ain't our favorite, but it does carry most of our daily consumption (cheap) wines. (plus we're getting 5% off of our purchases every few months, though we like to use the 5% at our fave Irvine BevMo) Cheap wines that we stock up on, w/c this BevMo at most times carry: J. I'm writing mianly because of the customer service. Everytime I come in, with my head swiveling with wonder and indecision and my feet shuffling with buyers dread. I ask anyone working, man or woman, and they have only been the most helpful with all my questions. The coolest thing is, if they don't know, they'll immediately lead you to someone who does. I filled out my bevmo card incorrectly and they still gave me the deal (I know, I know, who the Hell fills out their Bevmo card incorrectly?) TIP: If you want to get something that's a bit rarer and not as well known, CALL IN FIRST! To A) see if they have it or B) have them call it in for you. Because I've gone in twice to try and get this very nice Swedish Vodka...and it was totally sold out twice. Gaw'Nammit! Also, their cider collection is awesome! Anyways, I'm coming back again! read more

Two words: beer nirvana. Dang. I just realized that nearly all of my Yelps mention beer. I'm a professional beerista...what can I say? Anyways, BevMo has a really great selection of foreign and craft beers in stock. Like others, I shop here when I'm having a beer tasting, or when I just wanna taste some beer - that is, some really good beer. The stuff they stock is good, though not always consistent. Still, I can often find stuff here that I can't get at my other favorite beer stops in town. It's true that the folks who work here don't know much about the brews. In fact, some of the cashiers I've encountered here make me want to pour a couple of pints right there in the check out line and encourage them to lighten up. Then again, tonight, as I was purchasing a bottle of Meantime India Pale Ale (IPA), the cashier asked me about the beer. I thought her eyes would glaze over after I explained that finding a traditional English IPA is hard, though the style has it's roots in England, back in the day when a higher concentration of hops was added to beer to help keep it fresh on the voyage from India back to England, thus giving it a bitter bite. Instead, she actually thanked me for explaining what all the hype was about. Of course, I'm saving this one for the weekend so maybe the hype is about nothing, but we'll see. Good or not, the IPA story stays the same. Anyway...as others have mentioned, the place is a virtual warehouse, and you'll be hard pressed to find someone who knows anything about the products they stock, but if you have a good idea of what you're looking for, BevMo delivers. No, really - I just saw tonight that if you're having a big ol shindig, they actually do deliver! I'll be sure to call them next time I have a beer tasting at the casa! read more

Love love love this place. Don't want to repeat what everyone else says so I'll highlight on a few points of interest. - Mgmt at the Pasadena Arroyo store is awesome about finding you the wines you want at various stores and storing cases for you to pick up during sales. - Bevmo price matches!! Yeah, I went there today and they price matched against COSTCO?!? No one beats Costco right??? Bevmo just did! I put my 5% thank you discount on top of the price match..and then I said "thank you!" read more

They have a decent sized parking lot out front. I usually come here to replenish my beer/spirit supplies when I'm low. They have a great selection of wine (which I don't partake in), beer (awesome), and whiskey (also awesome). Most of the beer prices are pretty fair but whiskey prices can be on the more expensive side compared to most liquor stores and supermarkets. Some of the staff seem pretty knowledgeable about their booze, especially one of the beer guys (who I interact with sometimes but I don't know his name. Sorry!). They also carry some craft sodas, cocktail mixers, glassware too. All in all, a good place to come for a booze run if you need a little bit of this and little bit of that. Pro-tip: If you're a "frequent" customer here, I recommend enrolling in BevMo's ClubBev! rewards program. After spending $250 (used to be $200), they send you a 5% off coupon on a future purchase. They sometimes mail you other coupons along with a circular ad too. read more

Went to this location to buy all the wine & liquor for my wedding at the end of the month. Andrew did an amazing wine tasting for my mom & I, and helped us figure out exactly how much wine, prosecco, beer, liquor, and sodas I need for my big day! All while making sure he stayed in our budget :) If you have an event coming up that requires a ton of alcohol, ask for Andrew!! read more

I love my beers, This place has all my standard favorites, fuller, ayinger, alesmith, stone, abita. Also they usually sell pint glasses with seasonal prints on them. I'll admit I have also purchased wine and other things from them also but I come here mainly for beer. Their price is average. It's not higher then other places. Example rogue dead guy is 10 bucks here but 11 something at whole foods. I find that to be generally true for all brands bevmo carries. Can't beat the selection...it's a beer candy store! read more

HORRIBLE!!!!! Like other yelpers have mentioned, this location is awful for placing large orders. Lord knows I tried really hard to make a $400 order with them for delivery today. Not only was the employee I dealt with super rude, but she contradicted herself at one point saying they would deliver kegs only for "a wedding, or some other special event". When I told her that in fact the delivery was for our wedding, it was suddenly "impossible", and that the store "never makes keg delivery, we just won't do it" What a waste of time. read more

You had one job. So we're all self-quarantining but local businesses need income and the fam needs alcohol so I brilliantly ordered some beer and alcohol online from BevMo and chose pick-up - the website was very clear they didn't take walk-ins. Got the email that my order was ready, went to the store - no one outside, signs read WAIT IN YOUR CAR. So I waited in my car.. and waited ... finally got up to look inside. No one's at the door so I call the store. As I'm doing so some dude walks out, I ask him how I pick up my order, he gets my name, yells it inside and says my order will be out. Go back to my car because the signs all say WAIT IN YOUR CAR - right? I wait some more, nothing. Someone else drives up and stands at the door, lady sticks her head out, takes his name and hands him his order. Next guy - same thing. When I ask her when my order is coming she says YOU CAN'T JUST WAIT IN YOUR CAR AND EXPECT ME TO KNOW YOU'RE THERE! Right. Even though that's what all the signs tell me to do and you were already given my name and my order is supposed to be ready. They finally find my little order.. and now I need to walk INTO the store to sign for it, thereby negating all of the benefits of them supposedly having my order ready so I didn't have to - you know - go into the store and stand next to people? So much for "social distancing". I could honestly have been exposed to fewer people and germs and gotten way better service just buying the stuff at Vons and waiting in a check-out line. And it probably would have been cheaper, too! Lesson learned. read more

We always love coming to BevMo in Pasadena. Their staff is very knowledgeable and I have always found what I wanted in stock and displayed prominently. Let's say you die and there's a grocery store in heaven. So it's not going to be like other grocery stores. It's only going to have the good/decadent stuff. Belated Happy Birthday to my bf!!! :) With that said and me being the absolute best girlfriend that I am (hehe), I decided to get my bf a little treat that he surely would adore (aside from me, of course lol). What's that you ask? Well, it's none other than his beloved alcoholic beverage! What's his poison? SCOTCH. You know that stuff that puts some hair on your chest! lol. Anyway, I vaguely know my man's drink. I went around BevMo looking for this SCOTCH that once burned a hole in my throat! I've tasted it and it's horrendous. I honestly don't know how he drinks that stuff but he loves it nonetheless. The staff was really good about helping me. Not knowing what to buy him made it difficult to choose over the tons of scotch they had in this place. Mr. employee dude gave me a few choices to go with and it was clear that he knew his scotch. I chose Glenlivet, an 18 yr single malt scotch (don't ask me what the hell "single malt" means because I have NO IDEA!). I put a pretty bow on the box of this bottle to add a touch of my girly side. My bf was quite surprised that I had gotten this for him and even more shocked to find out that I got the GOOD kind of scotch. Needless to say he loved it and it's all thanks to BevMo. Thanks BevMo, YOU ROCK! SCORE!!!! read more

I lost my Bev Mo virginity here. And it was AMAZING!!! It was a huge warehouse filled wall to wall with every kind of alcohol imaginable! It's like an alcoholic's wet dream/worst nightmare. This BevMo is OK for renting a keg, buying a case of beer or bottle of wine. But...if you ever deal with this BevMo location for ordering large quantities of alcohol for a party (or in our case, our wedding)...buyer beware. We went to this location to order the beer/wine/champagne for our wedding reception, to be delivered to our wedding location, less than 2 miles away. BevMo said they would be there at 2:30pm, plenty of time before the reception started at 4:30pm. However, as they always say something goes wrong on the wedding, this was the one thing that went wrong. BevMo didn't deliver the alcohol until 4:40pm. And the entire time that our wedding coordinator was calling, and I was calling, to see what the hell was going on, all we got was lame excuses and run around from the BevMo employees who answered the phone. I mean, it's not like we ordered a large pepperoni pizza to be delivered by Dominos. We purchased close to $1,000 worth of alcohol and it showed up late and warm! And not one employee could tell me why the delivery took so long. The lack of urgency and lack of remorse shown by those particular BevMo employees for potentially ruining our big day has made me swear off this location for like forever. Next time I need booze in bulk, I'll deal with Costco. read more
