Better Electric did some work for us back in 2020 so this is the 2026 remix! I highly recommend Tyler Bower and Better Electric! We recently hired Tyler to handle several projects around our home, and the results are fantastic. He installed a new light in our laundry room, added a recessed can light in the master bath, and upgraded a few outlets to modern USB-C plugs. Most importantly, he ran four new dedicated circuits for us, completely resolving a frustrating issue where our space heaters kept tripping the breakers. As with any home project, there were a few unexpected scheduling delays due to unforeseen conflicts and illness. What really set Tyler apart, however, was his proactive professionalism. He always gave me as much advance notice as possible and immediately came to the table with a clear remediation plan to get everything back on track. Even though the project wrapped up about 1.5 weeks behind the original schedule, the flawless quality of the work and the seamless patch-and-paint job made it entirely worth it. Tyler showed an incredible amount of care and concern for our home throughout the entire process. We will absolutely use Better Electric again for any future electrical needs! read more

Very unreliable, and honestly, a very unique type of scam. Had a 6 week project that ended up dragging to three months, and never finished since I had to fire this vendor for delays. Took advantage of my retired mom and asked for full payment of the project before it was done. Before we got rid of this company, they had already forecasted multiple times that the end date was a certain day. Now it is over a month since that first promise, and I had to fire them. Will take on other jobs while your project ongoing. It's funny when your electrician shows up at your house at 8pm (not am) to work every day? Enjoy the hammering and drilling through the night. I do not recommend anyone to use them. This is a classic bait and switch approach: promising a smooth project and experience on scope of work, but really was messing around after. To be more specific, I had a project for under cab kitchen lights. Looks like they have not even done the strips we had bought before (Phillips Hue, by the way). So it looks like my project was R&D and it was the perfect one since my retired mom was nice enough to pay before completion. read more

I have no idea of the quality of his work as he has yet to do any after 4 months. Very little of the delay is due to PG&E but rather the electrician who submitted applications late and incomplete. Significant delays, doesn't tell the truth, Would not recommend him to replace a lightbulb. Several of my neighbors are in the same predicament and we are all very dissatisfied. I would rate him zero stars if that were an option. read more

Be careful with these guys. They will be late for sure and may leave in the middle of the job to go do another job. They did that to me! Left and came back 4 hours later. Also make sure to get a quote before they do the job. They charged me $250 labor for doing 30min of work. And left my house in the middle of the job and came back 4 hours later! read more

Taylor has done a great job, installing my car charger. He exactly knew what capacity my psnel can support and how to get max ou t of it, without breaking bank. I would always go with him here after. read more

Tyler installed a set of recessed lights as well as a ring camera on my property. He did a great job, was on time and charged reasonable price for the work he did. I would definitely work with him in future. read more

Tyler is not reliable. I scheduled a time with him for Tuesday morning on Saturday. I texted him to confirm that he was on his way about 20 minutes before he was scheduled to show up and he told me that he could not be there at that time. If I had not checked, he simply would not have shown up. Then we agreed on another time for the afternoon and he confirmed he would be there. I messaged at that time and he said he was running 40 minutes behind. Ultimately, he didn't show up even over a full hour after the scheduled time. So, I cancelled and called someone else. The problem is, the other person is also not available for a couple of days now. I can understand if you are busy, but not updating customers when you are running late or aren't going to make it at all is highly unprofessional and inexcusable. He did that to me twice in one day! Not only am I not getting the service that I needed, but I also wasted my time waiting AND now I have to wait an additional couple of days to have someone else come out to look at the issue I have. I suspect he is taking on more work than he can handle, and not thinking about the inconvenience that he is causing when he can't deliver. read more

Confirmed appointment for an estimate but Tyler never showed up. No message regarding why or offer to reschedule.

Fast response. Detailed assessment. Perfect resolution. Friendly technician. Highly recommend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tyler is great. Installed 12 recessed lights and a fan for us. He does great work and within the estimate he initially prilovided. Highly recommended. read more

I have used Better Electric a couple of times, first to wire the place for a washer/dryer and also to install some new breakers at our business. They were very responsive and helpful, coming out late in the evening and also getting creative to avoid installing a whole new panel, which is costly, all while ensuring full compliance with local ordinances. Their pricing is fair and I definitely got great service at very reasonable pricing. They will be my go-to for any electrical needs in the future. read more

We had light switches in need of replacement in two bathrooms. When, I called Better Electric on the phone, and described the problem, I was given a no hassle reasonable estimate over the phone. The service person arrived on time, completed work as specified. Priced as quoted, with no surprises. What more could I ask for read more

Quick response. Provided info about license and declaration sheet for GL policy. Price was reasonable based on other offers. arrived when he said he would and did what he said he'd do. read more

I needed a switch repair and new outlet install. The service was prompt, friendly, and quality work. I will reuse and can recommend.

I needed to have an electrical outlet installed in a business. We originally thought it would be less but the connection to power was further than anticipated. Tyler is the best! We had another electrician walk out on us and Tyler stepped in and really saved us! He explained everything thoroughly and his communication was super clear which is hard to find a lot of times. Thank you Tyler! read more

After having a less than satisfactory experience with another electrician, in comes Tyler to save the day. After notifying me of his rate (cheaper than many, in the middle of the pack) we set up an appointment at the start of the work week for today, Thursday. He actually stopped by about 30 minutes early which was fine with me. After introducing himself, Tyler got right to work, first taking a quick inspection of what needed to be done, got his tools and ladder and tackled the upstairs bedroom replacement of a heavy and aged ceiling fan. Tyler was efficient, careful and worked like this was the proverbial piece of cake. No small talking here, as he concentrated on the task at hand. After he finished, he demonstrated the fan showing me the different functions of the remote. Everything was left clean as when he entered the room. Next was a small job replacing a driveway sensor wall light which he had done in less than fifteen minutes. Altogether he did all of his work in less than 90 minutes. He even had some time to check out a faulty kitchen ballast which was our. He said that he would schedule return to fix it next week. I am impressed with Tyler's work. Everything looks professionally done - no loose wires, or scratches on the ceiling, no chipped stucco, no dirt in the house, no dropping the light fixture and breaking the glass, and of course, he came wearing his mask in this day In age of the COVID-19 outbreak. Highly recommended! Thank you, Tyler, for your professionalism and work ethic! read more

Excellent service by Tyler. He knows the stuff, most memorized all the wiring needed for the EV charger installation and has great debugging skills too. read more

I would give zero stars if i could! I scheduled an appointment with Tyler...and he canceled via text message 30 minutes before and never bothered to reschedule with me. I decided to give Tyler a second chance. I scheduled another appointment with Tyler for 530 pm and he no showed. I then called Tyler to ask if he was planning on attending our scheduled appointment. Tyler did not take ownership for completely flaking on me AGAIN and never bothered to contact me and tell me he was not going to make it AGAIN. I am appalled that Tyler did not have the decency or professionalism to notify me. Instead, I woke up early to wait for him and I completely wasted my time. Fuck you Tyler and your bullshit excuses. I WOULD ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AND I AM SHOCKED THERE ARE ANY POSITIVE REVIEWS. read more

Punctual and did a great job unhooking and capping the hard wire lines that were attached to my Advantium Microwave. He then install the microwave and trimming into my wall cabinet. read more

It was a perfect no fuss installation. Very good job. I highly recommend this company.

Tyler is sooooo kind. I called him way after hour, he called back right away, FaceTime me to walk me through how to fix my electricity issue. So thoughtful, so helpful. He surely love what he do and willing to go the extra mile to help his customers. Totally recommend him and use him again as he's now our family's go to electrician. Thank you so much, Tyler! read more

Tyler was quick to respond to the Yelp Quote system and set up an appointment - this is quite rare during COVID since everyone is fixing up their homes. He was on-time, wore a mask the whole time (along with his associate), and was quite meticulous with his work. For each light fixture, he'd ask for our preferences (and when we more or less shrugged, he'd offer his advice based on how we'd use the light). When we wound up buying a non-dimmable fixture for a dimming switch, he talked us through our options and quickly adjusted the switch to meet our needs. It's rare to meet someone like Tyler who goes above and beyond when many just do the bare minimum. Would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone seeking an electrician. read more

Tyler is easy to work with. Had a ceiling fan installed without pre existing wiring and had a GFCI outdoor outlet replaced. Quality work don't hesitate to use. read more

Highly recommended. We had them over to install a fan box and new ceiling fan in kitchen. Everything went accordingly to plan. They were very punctual, communicative, polite, and fairly priced. Cleaned up after the work. Would hire again for any future electrical needs. read more

Tyler and Chris are good reliable electricians. We had them put in 2 outlets, 3 ethernet ports, 3 light fixture boxes. They were always on time and called when they were on their way. We also lucked out and were able to get an appointment the following week. They were both nice to work with and explained everything they were doing. Tyler also has an impeccable memory. We explained the whole job and without writing anything down, he sent us a very clear proposal and knew exactly what the job was and was able to walk Chris through it, without us having to explain again. Tylers clear understanding of the job shows his experience in the field. I highly recommend his business. read more

Tyler was very communicative over the phone and at the house. He was prompt, friendly, and fixed the problem with my older home outlets and provided information for me to install the proper outdoor outlet. I would recommend him. He charged a fair price for the work. read more

Project including installing 10 recessed light and 2 ceiling lights in kitchen, living room and bedrooms. Tyler came with his crew (Chris) on time, super respectful and attentive to detail. After a quick walk through together, which was very engaged, Tyler was not shine to offer his expertise and suggestion (ie. What to put or demo, one switch vs two switch's, what will happen to my wall LoL). After the walk through, 2 ceiling lights was deemed to be out of scope because I changed my mind, he offered pricing on the spot, which show his willingness to meet all customer needs, the pricing were very competitive and very reasonable. He went out to Home Depot bought the equipment to fulfill the out of scope request. Come on that had to be more than 5 stars. He is honest, him team and him completes the project in 8 hours due to how they are well prepared and talented. Given he owns the company, i am impressed how well he ran it. I feel "fornaute" to work with Better electric. I'm a very picky customer too when project conclude, we are all happy to see so many new lights, my condo built in 70s use to have no lights in bedroom. Another star he is able to conquer the challenges to install lights for the first hand. Thinking I shouldn't even be writing this review now, to keep Tyler to my future projects. But quality work and experience overcome my selfishness as there should be well deserved praise! read more

Tyler and James made this experience so easy. Their say-do ratio is high and you can count on them delivering what they promise!

We had to install a video doorbell and floodlight camera. Reached out via yelp for a quote. Tyler was quick to respond, came the next day and gave quotes which were better than others I had received. He was responsive after that when I had to schedule the appointment and coordinate the follow-up. He showed up on time, was professional and did a good job. Will use his services again if needed in the future read more
