We recently hired Tyler to handle several projects around our home, and the results are fantastic. He installed a new light in our laundry room, added a recessed can light in the master bath, and upgraded a few outlets to modern USB-C plugs. Most importantly, he ran four new dedicated circuits for us, completely resolving a frustrating issue where our space heaters kept tripping the breakers. As with any home project, there were a few unexpected scheduling delays due to unforeseen conflicts and illness. What really set Tyler apart, however, was his proactive professionalism. He always gave me as much advance notice as possible and immediately came to the table with a clear remediation plan to get everything back on track. Even though the project wrapped up about 1.5 weeks behind the original schedule, the flawless quality of the work and the seamless patch-and-paint job made it entirely worth it. Very unreliable, and honestly, a very unique type of scam. Had a 6 week project that ended up dragging to three months, and never finished since I had to fire this vendor for delays. Took advantage of my retired mom and asked for full payment of the project before it was done. Before we got rid of this company, they had already forecasted multiple times that the end date was a certain day. Now it is over a month since that first promise, and I had to fire them. Will take on other jobs while your project ongoing. It's funny when your electrician shows up at your house at 8pm (not am) to work every day? Enjoy the hammering and drilling through the night. I do not recommend anyone to use them. This is a classic bait and switch approach: promising a smooth project and experience on scope of work, but really was messing around after. To be more specific, I had a project for under cab kitchen lights. Looks like they have not even done the strips we had bought before (Phillips Hue, by the way). So it looks like my project was R&D and it was the perfect one since my retired mom was nice enough to pay before completion. read more

Tyler is not reliable. I scheduled a time with him for Tuesday morning on Saturday. I texted him to confirm that he was on his way about 20 minutes before he was scheduled to show up and he told me that he could not be there at that time. If I had not checked, he simply would not have shown up. Then we agreed on another time for the afternoon and he confirmed he would be there. I messaged at that time and he said he was running 40 minutes behind. Ultimately, he didn't show up even over a full hour after the scheduled time. So, I cancelled and called someone else. The problem is, the other person is also not available for a couple of days now. I can understand if you are busy, but not updating customers when you are running late or aren't going to make it at all is highly unprofessional and inexcusable. He did that to me twice in one day! Not only am I not getting the service that I needed, but I also wasted my time waiting AND now I have to wait an additional couple of days to have someone else come out to look at the issue I have. I suspect he is taking on more work than he can handle, and not thinking about the inconvenience that he is causing when he can't deliver. read more

After having a less than satisfactory experience with another electrician, in comes Tyler to save the day. After notifying me of his rate (cheaper than many, in the middle of the pack) we set up an appointment at the start of the work week for today, Thursday. He actually stopped by about 30 minutes early which was fine with me. After introducing himself, Tyler got right to work, first taking a quick inspection of what needed to be done, got his tools and ladder and tackled the upstairs bedroom replacement of a heavy and aged ceiling fan. Tyler was efficient, careful and worked like this was the proverbial piece of cake. No small talking here, as he concentrated on the task at hand. After he finished, he demonstrated the fan showing me the different functions of the remote. Everything was left clean as when he entered the room. Next was a small job replacing a driveway sensor wall light which he had done in less than fifteen minutes. Altogether he did all of his work in less than 90 minutes. He even had some time to check out a faulty kitchen ballast which was our. He said that he would schedule return to fix it next week. I am impressed with Tyler's work. Everything looks professionally done - no loose wires, or scratches on the ceiling, no chipped stucco, no dirt in the house, no dropping the light fixture and breaking the glass, and of course, he came wearing his mask in this day In age of the COVID-19 outbreak. He was on-time, wore a mask the whole time (along with his associate), and was quite meticulous with his work. For each light fixture, he'd ask for our preferences (and when we more or less shrugged, he'd offer his advice based on how we'd use the light). When we wound up buying a non-dimmable fixture for a dimming switch, he talked us through our options and quickly adjusted the switch to meet our needs. Tyler and Chris are good reliable electricians. We had them put in 2 outlets, 3 ethernet ports, 3 light fixture boxes. They were always on time and called when they were on their way. After a quick walk through together, which was very engaged, Tyler was not shine to offer his expertise and suggestion (ie. What to put or demo, one switch vs two switch's, what will happen to my wall LoL). After the walk through, 2 ceiling lights was deemed to be out of scope because I changed my mind, he offered pricing on the spot, which show his willingness to meet all customer needs, the pricing were very competitive and very reasonable. He went out to Home Depot bought the equipment to fulfill the out of scope request. Come on that had to be more than 5 stars. He is honest, him team and him completes the project in 8 hours due to how they are well prepared and talented. Given he owns the company, i am impressed how well he ran it. I feel "fornaute" to work with Better electric. I'm a very picky customer too when project conclude, we are all happy to see so many new lights, my condo built in 70s use to have no lights in bedroom. Another star he is able to conquer the challenges to install lights for the first hand. Thinking I shouldn't even be writing this review now, to keep Tyler to my future projects.
