Theme for 2025: Storyland Christmas. For any updated news and hours of operation, please Google for their website (yes, they have a web page!)! Been coming here since 2018 and I continue to come back every year because 1) I am utterly blown away every single time and 2) feeling so alone and continuously being in the middle of drama... this place always lifts my spirits, reminds me of the festivities as well as puts the BIGGEST smile on my face (THANK YOU SO MUCH). PRO TIP: Yes, it's much more festive to come closer to Christmas (and you will have a higher chance of seeing Deacon Dave himself), but the lines commonly exceed a wait time of sometimes more than 90 minutes and you get rushed through; therefore, come many many many days sooner! This year was my first year coming on opening day (November 29) and I didn't have to wait AT ALL; instead I was able to see the itty bitty details of everything. And with waiting for so long, kiddos on the block start trying to sell you things (such as hand warmers, hot cocoa, etc.). Last year, they started having one of their brigades standing at the bridge helping y'all take pictures (on the bridge) with your phones. They have won Great Christmas Light Fight. They continuously up their game not only with the decor but with the number of lights (almost 1 million!!)! They have a fabulous brigade at the door, making sure things run smoothly, greeting every one, etc. Tremendous gratitude and thanks to all the volunteers, the brigade, and to Deacon Dave for starting this and making this happen year after year (pandemic year doesn't count :) )... the number of smiles you bring, the number of eyes lit up, and the number of mouths dropped... forever indebted. Trust me, you don't want to miss this. You have to see it and visit at least once in your lifetime. This is too great to be missed. If you have any questions, do not be afraid to ask the brigade. And it's FREE. (Donations accepted at the awesome coin toss and the well.) Happy Holidays!

This place goes by other names, including Casa del Pomba or House of the Dove. I knew it would be crowded cuz of all the recent attention it's been getting on social media after winning ABC's "The Great Christmas Light Fight." But that did not deter me from making a stop this past Thursday (the day after xmas). Previous themes include Elf's Land, Santa's Castle, and Victorian Christmas... the 2024 theme during my recent visit being The World Celebrates Christmas. It was amazing with windows to indoor displays representing different cultures, a lovely grotto, waterfalls, fountains, moving parts on the tower in the front, as well as an adorable interactive exhibit, a coin toss that triggers light and music (bring some change if you want to participate). Oh yeah, live doves too. We arrived around 6:30pm on the day after xmas, and saw the line wrapping around the corner. The wait ended up being 1 hour 15 minutes. There were light sprinkles on and off (no hard rain or winds that would cause them to close), and there were a few kids walking up and down the street offering a number of items to the line of visitors (ponchos, umbrellas, hand warmers, water, soda, candy) as well as neighbors selling swiss miss/hot cocoa. We talked to one of the builders who shared the wonderful history and details about this small but magnificent production. It was created by a 45-person team (two parts, a build team and light team). For the 2024 display, planning started in May, assembly off site in June, building on site in August, and lights set up in October. The deacon who was ordained in 1982, started this tradition as a gift to the community, starting with just 2000 lights, which has grown to more than 920,000 bulbs in 2024. Free to visit, with donations going to charity, and executed so well. It's a shame that there are people out there who complain about this experience and the hard work of volunteers, which offers so much to appreciate free of cost.

Lot of lights, I was amazed at how many lights can be put on tree, it was so sparkly. I waited about 1 hour 15 minutes before we got inside, its a short walk through the whole vicinity. But the decorations were very lit and festive. Park in a local street nearby, bring lots of layers and maybe some small snacks. It will be a long wait but it's free and local, and one of the nicer local experiences nearby in the bay!

Great place to see christmas lights if you are in the area!! They decorated their entire house with beautiful lights!! And they've been doing it since 1982! The line to get in was 1hr 10 minutes for us and we hopped in line at 6:10pm last Friday. Be prepared to wait if you want to walk inside! Alternatively the view is amazing at the front! The neighbors also sell hot chocolate as you are waiting in line. Love the Livermore holiday spirit! The volunteers were very friendly!

Absolutely amazing! It's truly a delight to see. The staff and volunteers are fabulous, and you can't beat nearly 1 million lights. The walk-through takes about 10 minutes, but it's absolutely worth it. There's even an opportunity inside to take a photo for yourself or your group. Tip: Go early! Don't be the person who shows up at 7:00 p.m., expecting to be first in line or complaining about the wait. Poor planning is on you--you've been warned! We arrived around 5:40 p.m., walked through the exhibit, and were back at our car by 6:30 p.m. The lights turn on at 6:00 p.m., and we had about a 40-minute wait. By the time we were leaving, the line was significantly longer, stretching down one block and around another. Parking was easy for us--again, arrive early! Donations: Please consider donating. Any amount is appreciated. They accept cash (via a secure box) and Venmo, with a QR code posted at the entrance. We even got to meet Deacon Dave--an absolutely warm and friendly gentleman. Merry Christmas to all!

When I got here, I'm surprised that probably more than 1,000 people are in line to get to this Christmas tourist attraction. Makes me wonder if it's worth waiting about an hour to get here despite it not being an amusement park. Actually it is! I heard that they were awarded to be one of the best Christmas decorated houses in the Bay Area. So many lights as if you're in a Holiday Town! I'm shocked that they keep count how many Christmas lights they stalled in. Also like other decorations and moving ones. It's like a mini Christmas Wonderland if you asked me. The owners and staff seem to be very nice taking pictures of people behind the waterfall and Christmas lights. Some people don't want to stay in line and wait for at least an hour to get inside, but that's ok. Admission is free too! They said that they change Christmas themes every year and will be definitely coming back here next year!

Lots of lights, I mean brightly lite where you can definitely probably see this house if you were flying over Livermore. And you have to appreciate how this home's decorations is being offered to the general public. Now, be prepared to wait in line. It goes pretty smoothly, but rather slowly. Parking can be difficult as it's a local neighborhood, so parking may mean a couple of blocks away. Overall, a nice visit if you're in town and you're okay with waiting. It is free to enjoy.

Gorgeous, but such a long line to get in for a short period of time. I wish more volunteers made Livermore lights longer and so stunning

Entry way to exhibition

Warning: going weekend before Christmas is probably not a great idea if you don't like waiting in line. Full disclosure we waited 2 hours before getting into the house and we arrived at 6pm. Maybe arrive an hour early or very very late. Lovely display and also got to meet deacon Dave. I loved that the staff/volunteers were so kind. It's not detailed anywhere but they are dog friendly! My doodle was sad that she didn't get to see all the lights!

It was our first time going this year. We arrived at 9pm on a Friday and it was roughly about a 15-20 min wait. Staff were friendly and overall was a good experience.

Waited an hour in the cold for a 5 min walk. Nice but not worth it! You could pretty much see most of it from outside

How do I find out if they close because of the rain? I've checked the website

Is this open to walk through on Christmas day? how long are the lights up/ tour going on for? until the new year or ends Christmas day? Thanks in advance.

Bright Prodigy - Govee Permanent outdoor lighting installation!

Bright Prodigy

My wife and I was searching for months to find an expert that could install Govee permanent lights…read morefor our home. After sitting on this project for a full year and what seem to be numerous searches through Yelp to see if we can find someone in our local area that we could trust with our home, Bright Prodigy was a perfect find and solution from the minute we got our first response. The entire team knew exactly what to ask in detail details of what they could do was spot on. On the day of installation, our lead Installer Brandon was extremely detailed and knew exactly how to approach our Install without any hiccups. We have a three-tiered house and the Install only took 5 1/2 hours, can't tell you enough how extremely efficient the install was without any issues whatsoever. We are absolutely thrilled about the install and would love to recommend Bright Prodigy for anyone in the surrounding area that would like to put up Govee permanent lights for their house. Thank you much to Lynn and Brandon for helping our place stand a bit in the evening now in our community. Your team is awesome.

I highly recommend Bright Prodigy for permanent holiday light installation!…read more I had them install Govee Permanent Lights Pro on my 2 story house before Christmas and they did a great job. Before I even agreed to having them to do the work, they were incredibly helpful and responsive via text. They meticulously explained to me my options and answered all of my many many questions. The install itself was done very well. All of the wires were well hidden and the installation was clean. The lights are all perfectly spaced and look great. They extended the power cord and were able to plug it into a utility box on the side of the house so there are no obvious cords anywhere. Even after the holidays, we've used the lights to light our house the colors of our sports teams and to provide warm white accent lighting. Can't say enough good things about the team and the work they did!
