    Fantastic service!! It was super easy to place a request online, work out the details via text with Rachel, confirm a time, get the install, and pay via Zelle. The install team was kind, communicative, and very efficient. They made sure we got the exact set up we wanted with a different type of lights and separate connection points. The quote was really reasonable (a little over $600 for 1 story house, 3 sides) and we'll be recommending them to everyone! We used Enbrighten eternity lights with bulb covers (purchased separately) to get the vintage look.

    Govee prism lights

    From start to finish , working with the staff was amazing and seamless . They were very quick with correspondence , their staff were very punctual during the installation process and they did an AMAZING JOB . If you are looking on putting lights on your house i highly recommend them , my only suggestion is you research on what lights you get , I chose the govee lights prism vs the outdoor lights pro . If you look on YouTube you can see people's reviews on the products . The prism looks amazing and the installation was well done.

    Everything was smooth with Bright Prodigy. I had them install the Govee permanent lights on my home. I purchased the lights. Scheduled the appointment. Brandon showed up on time. He was so professional and nice. They installed wood under my fascia as I wanted the lights hidden under my gutters. I love my lights so much.

We've have purchased 4 fans and lights. All are gorgeous. When we had one that didn't work upon install, we had no issue returning it and ordering a replacement. Karen has helped us every time ... she's great. Everyone else we've talked to there whether over the phone or in person is top notch, friendly, and all about great service. It's rare to find places like Hobrecht's that has been around for decades and still does business the old fashioned way.

    We were referred to Hobrecht by our contractor, but unfortunately our experience has been very…read moredisappointing. After purchasing lights for our home, we were unhappy with how they looked and immediately reached out to our salesperson, Renata. The receipt clearly states that opened items can be returned with a 30% restocking fee. I told Renata I was fine with paying that fee, but she refused to process the return. On top of these issues, one of the lights we received arrived damaged. When I reached out to Renata to report this, her response was: "unfortunately the company prioritizes new orders coming in and your damaged order could take weeks to replace." When I explained my frustration that a broken item was not being treated as a priority and is a NEW order, she replied: "what's the rush to have this replaced so soon?" It's broken and I paid for it. This is a shocking way to treat a customer--minimizing the problem and dismissing the need for timely resolution. It's another clear example of the lack of professionalism and disregard for customer satisfaction at this company. At the same time, we had a separate order for ceiling fans. Given how poorly the lights situation was handled, we decided to cancel the fans before they shipped. Once again, Renata told us cancellation was not possible. When I escalated the matter to the manager, Anthony, he was unaware of the initial issue with the lights and did not offer any solution for that situation or the ceiling fans order. Instead, he told us we would need to pay $200 shipping to his store in order to avoid being charged the full amount for the fans--fans we never received. We later found the exact same fans at Lowe's for a much lower price. This company's approach to returns and cancellations feels misleading and unprofessional. They do not honor the policies stated on their own receipts, and communication between staff and management is poor. I strongly recommend thinking twice before making a large purchase here, as they are unwilling to work with customers on reasonable solutions.

I found a gorgeous Modern Forms linear light that is perfect for the room, and went on my usual online search for the best price. The best price (by far) was at 1StopLighting. This company is new to me, and further research revealed positive experiences from Trustpilot.com and others. Another boon was that the light was "guaranteed" to arrive in 3 days. 3 days! Nice! The light did not arrive in 3 days, so I had to reschedule installation. When we opened the light, there was a dent with scratches on the edge of the light. The light was packaged in styrofoam, which seemed undisturbed, so I think the light must have been damaged before it was boxed up and shipped. While I was originally able to call customer service and discuss the delivery of my light, 1StopLighting has now stopped manning their phone. When I called to discuss replacement options, I was directed to their chat. I haven't been able to find a way to choose to talk to a person since. However, I did get Johanna on the chat to help me with a replacement. Johanna is wonderful. She understood the problem and what to do. When we were disconnected because the chat timed out, she called me on my mobile to explain the process and reassure me that delivery of a replacement and a return label were on their way. I was a bit skeptical because there was no real way to track what was happening, but I had Johanna's name and phone #. Several weeks later, after returning the damaged light, I still did not have my replacement, nor a tracking #. This time, contacting someone was much more difficult. I did manage to engage in an email exchange with someone who provided me with a tracking number. The light had never been picked up according to the delivery company and tracking information. Neither the freight company nor 1StopLighting chat knew where my package was. With probably too much effort on my part, I did get Johanna on the chat once again, and she called me. She got the process moving. My light arrived in 2 days! Thank goodness for Johanna. 1StopLighting has a very large selection of nice lighting at great prices. I appreciate their return policy, which they honored without question. Clearly, however, I ran into several snags. I recommend to 1StopLighting that they make available once again the ability for a customer to call a customer service representative. Some situations cannot practically be dealt with via chat. Johanna is the star of my story. Because Johanna was so responsive, I will likely visit 1StopLighting again.

    I've just had a great experience with Tina at The Lighting Palace. First I want to say that the…read morephone number listed for her lamp repair business is wrong. Her cell number is 916-705-3980. The listed number is for her husband's separate business (vintage advertising signs) operated from the same address. If you are seeking a lighting repair it's best to send her a text with a photo. I contacted her last week about my pharmacy lamp thinking that it was flickering because of a wiring issue. She took one look at my photo and said it was more likely to be the switch. She gave me a reasonable estimate to repair it and we made an appointment for 10 AM this morning. She had it ready in perhaps 20 minutes - she recommended I remain during the repair to avoid having to make a separate trip to pick it up. It's gratifying in this throwaway world to find knowledgeable repair people to restore valued items to use at a fair price. She was also careful to advise me in advance that she does not take credit cards.

Tina likes to randomly delete text messages from less than a week ago and then act confused and annoyed when you follow up a few days later, as though I was the one who deleted all the context of our conversation instead of her. You see, Tina is an unfortunate combination of mean and stupid. She lacks reading comprehension but still insists on only communicating via text, and then she will misunderstand what you wrote and get rude about it. I had two lamps needing repair. I initially contacted her about a floor lamp, a modern bridge lamp with a broken connector. She told me that part was not able to be replaced but she could sell me an antique bridge lamp base to use with my stained glass shade. I was disappointed and unsure if I wanted to do that or not, so I asked for photos. She sent over very poor photos that did not show the base in its entirety. I responded that I wasn't sure how it would all look together because I couldn't see the whole thing at once, and she cut the conversation short. Whatever, I wasn't sure what to do and I got busy so I didn't respond back right away. Four days later, I decided I should probably just buy the base, so I sent a message asking if the base was still available. I also asked if there was any way she could help with another lamp that I nearly finished putting back together, but there were a few parts that I could not quite figure out where they had gone before. Being a lamp repair business, I thought this was a reasonable request, but apparently I was wrong. I've attached those messages in their entirety. Don't even bother trying to work with these people. They will shame you for asking about lamp repair and make everything about how much money they can earn.
