I highly recommend Bright Prodigy for permanent holiday light installation! I had them install Govee Permanent Lights Pro on my 2 story house before Christmas and they did a great job. Before I even agreed to having them to do the work, they were incredibly helpful and responsive via text. They meticulously explained to me my options and answered all of my many many questions. The install itself was done very well. All of the wires were well hidden and the installation was clean. The lights are all perfectly spaced and look great. They extended the power cord and were able to plug it into a utility box on the side of the house so there are no obvious cords anywhere. Even after the holidays, we've used the lights to light our house the colors of our sports teams and to provide warm white accent lighting. This is our second time using Bright Prodigy and both times we were extremely satisfied. Our first time was in 2019 and it was just Christmas lights. We had a little issue and he was out right away to take care of it. Back in 2021 we tried a cheap handy man and his work was trash and constantly going out and wouldn't show back up. I chose Bright Prodigy over several other providers even though they were expensive than the other installers because of their 5-star reviews and even waited over a month for my appointment, but I want to caution future customers: they do not follow Govee's recommended installation method using the included clips. They only use a staple gun for permanent installs, and this was never clearly disclosed in any of our messages or the estimate. When I raised the issue, they said the information was "on their website." Had I known this upfront, I would have asked questions or considered other options. I wanted to use these guys so bad, they promised to get my home done before the holidays. When they scheduled the first time, their people miscalculated my footage and told me I might not have enough lights and we were uncertain about some other details, so we pushed it to a later date. Then when we scheduled the next time they couldn't give me a date. Called them multiple times got voicemails and didn't return my calls. I was referred to this company by my two neighbors on the street right behind me. He installed permanent lighting on both of their homes less than a year ago. One home is a two story 2,500 sq ft home that had outdoor lights installed all the way around the home. My neighbor told me she paid $600, and referred the neighbor two doors down as well (this other neighbor has the same exact model home as mine (single story home that is 1900 sq ft). She also had lights installed all the way around the home. She told me she paid $1k for hers. I was like, "Yikes! That's a steep increase. But I only want the front of my house done since I already have string lights installed around the backyard (and I have neighbors on both sides of me so I didn't see a point in doing the sides of my house). It's 45' of roofline he needed to do on my house. Want to know what I was quoted? $615 for the install without fascia, and $845 with fascia (this doesn't include the lights...you have to buy your own lights)!! Absolutely appalling pricing. Like, it was offensive seeing those numbers. I even let him know that my neighbors paid way less for much larger jobs less than a year ago, and that I was referred, and asked him if he could come down in his price? You wanna know how he replied??? He didn't. Completely ghosted. Mature and professional, right? I guess calling him out on his outrageous quote isn't something he knows how to handle. I showed my neighbors the quote, and they were totally appalled as well. I found 2 other companies willing to do the job for waaaay less. They sent us their master installer, Brandon, who despite not feeling well on the day, did an excellent job installing the lights and finished the entire outside of our home in just a little over 3 hrs and just by himself! My quest for the perfect Christmas lights is finally over!!! I had Bright Prodigy install Govee lights around my house and am throughly impressed!!! The guys showed up early, were extremely polite listened to what I wanted and did it! I wanted the lights installed in a particular way that is not the norm (facing the house and tucked in) and to follow the roof line in a specific way (1 story house but multi level roof). First off, we have no issues with the installers or the quality of their work. We do have an issue with Bright Prodigy's business practices. We had them install permanent Govee Lighting on the front of our house in October. They were not cheap ($830 for 150' feet) but we wanted it done right since the lighting is permanent. The installers did a fantastic job and we are so happy with the lights that we decided to extend them all around the house, so I reached out to Bright Prodigy for another estimate. The remaining length was 75', half the length of the initial job, but their estimate was for $870. When I questioned the accuracy, I was told by Rachel that the required fascia wood is in high demand this time of year and therefore impacted the pricing. We went to Lowe's and bought the same fascia wood for $9 for 50 feet. We then found a wonderful college kid who did the install for $200 and we are very happy. I would not recommend Bright Prodigy because they are clearly overcharging their customers. read more

They came out within a couple weeks after I contacted them because it was in the middle of busy season, but I'm glad I waited. The installers were friendly and professional and did as close to a perfect install I've ever seen. Although 'permanent light installation' always costs a bit more it's definitely worth it.
