Pumpkin flavored drinks are in season now! The drive-through on the weekends extends out into the street. It's very popular on the weekends. Before the sun comes up this place is open at 4:30 am. They have music playing inside also, unfortunately no outdoor tables. The coffee is good here, and they change up the menu with seasonal drinks. read more

Better Buzz really needs to work on its employee customer service training. I've experienced the same attitude at two different locations now. I placed an online pickup order today for an energy drink and a loaf for a little over $10. The app accepted my order, charged me, and gave me a pickup time with no indication that anything was unavailable. I drove all the way there and waited well past the pickup time while employees helped customers who came after me. Finally someone asked what I was waiting for, looked at my order, and casually said, "Oh, we're out of energy drinks," then went right back to helping other customers. So I'm just standing there like... okay, and? I already paid for an order you can't give me. I had to ask whether I was getting a refund, only to first be told to request it through the app--which doesn't even give that option. She finally checked on her end and realized she could issue the refund herself. If you're going to accept and charge for an online order you can't fulfill, at least notify the customer before they drive all the way there. And when they arrive, communicate and offer a refund instead of leaving them standing around. Better Buzz needs to do better. read more

Got the blended coconut espresso with coconut milk. So delicious! Their better breakfast sandwich was also really good quality ingredients. My daughter had their pumpkin muffin and has been dreaming of it ever since. My dog also loved het pup cup, it came with a treat in the middle! Service was easy just a little slow when people are ordering at the drive through. Hard to get into drive thru without a u turn or missing the entrance. Definitely better than going to Starbucks! Wow, bad service. Young lady gave me a dirty look when I asked for a menu [it was my first time] then she was unable to take my wifes Better Buz app scan and told us to do it at the window. When we got to the window and held out our phone, the guy gave us a snarky response and said you guys have to do that at the drive through, we explained that she was unable to do so , after that, they handed us the wrong drinks, they took mine back to get it right. And as we pulled away, found out that they gave us another wrong drink. Also, the place just opened. And it looked dirty and there is finished work that needs to be done on the outside. read more

First time at this location. I went to one at fashion valley mall. I love that the location is walking distance from my place, but I also dislike how the drive thru creates so much traffic. Busy busy at 7am on a Friday. I ordered inside. Our cashier was very sweet and tentative to our order. My husband ordered (I can't remember the name) and I ordered an iced dirty chai pumpkin. My husbands order came out first. Then I waited for about 10 minutes for my order until I went up to the man and asked when mine was coming out. He immediately got mine. When I tasted it, it was iced milk. No pumpkin no chai no flavor... just milk. I had my husband and my friend try. They didn't know what that was. So I waited in line and let the cashier know. She even said "That doesn't look like how my order should be." I was given a remake. Service was way faster at that point. Unfortunately the drink was SO sweet and thick syrupy consistency. 3 stars for the mistaken order, the remake was so sweet and thick syrupy consistency, and total time combined was 35-40 minutes for two coffees. read more

First time to a Better Buzz. Very disappointing. 2 stars only for the friendly service. Iced horchata latte- barely any ice, separated horchata gave it a disgusting look/taste. You might as well call this Better Buzz location, "Club Buzz" because of how loud they play their music. Seriously, I could barely hear the nice young lady at the cash register, and it was very difficult to have a conversation near one of their speakers hanging from the ceiling. I asked one of the employees if they could reduce the volume a couple of notches, just a couple, and he said he would ask to have it done. However, when he returned, he told me that management said no, because it was their company policy to have the music that loud. I call B.S. because I've been to almost all Better Buzzes in San Diego, and never has the music been so loud. At any rate, I had a latte with oat milk, which was pretty good. I also had an almond croissant, which looked great but it did not have much or any filing on the inside. It tasted good. The hospitality at the register was nice. The young lady had a good personality and made good suggestions. However, I do think being able to reduce the volume of the music would be a good thing for all. read more

9/6/2026 - went through the drive thru with just 1 car in front of me took forever. Time is 5:20pm, ordered 1 original regular ice latte. Total cost was about $6. Took 5 minutes through the drive thru to order then another 5 minutes to wait for 1 car in front to get their order. 4 stars over all. Drink and the price is good. LOVE That they have a Santee location since I have never tried it! And talk about a cool atmosphere! The service was spot on! I was greeted immediately by the friendliest staff. Just walking in it was an immediate "Welcome!" I'm new to the menu but the young enthusiast staff member (I think name Allison - had blue bangs and giant blue eyes) knew everything about every drink and suggested I tried the "Banana Pudding - Best Drink Ever". I trusted her enthusiasm and also ordered the "Better Breakfast". With all the Better names I was really hoping it would live up to it! The name did not disappoint! First of all... when do you ever get a Nilla wafer in your drink?!?!? And when does your drink actually taste like what it says?!? Literally drank banana pudding coffee!! THE BEST! I've came here 3 times already & I must say this is by far the worst Better Buzz location I've had. The first time I came I got the hazelnut divinity and it was waaaaay too sweet, even when all the ice was melted it was still super sweet & I've never had to adjust my drink. The second time I came I ordered the same thing and adjust my sugar level to 50% & there was no sweetness at all! Better Buzz has expanded rapidly. I was a long time customer at the original shop in PB and was happy to see this one pop up in Santee. The lines seem to flow relatively smooth. Pricing is a little ridiculous but, that's life now. I've been here maybe a half dozen times since it opened and they are a smoothly operating machine now but, I'm not getting the happiness and cheery attitude I get in PB at the original. They also messed up my drink once but fixed it on the spot. read more

I'm sorry but last time I heard great things about this shop so I decided to give it a try (new customer) I tried ordering for the first time which I'm not good at, because of my anxiety, therefore the employee was pressuring me to order quick which caused me an panic attack. All I heard was these kids laughing in the back , laughing at me, my self esteem went to the ground in a split second. Listen guys all my life was bullied because of my stuttering and anxiety and last thing I need is to be bullied as an adult. For the rest of the day I sat in my room thinking over and over the tragedy I felt at SANTEE BETTER BUZZ. I don't know if I go back I'll get bullied once again. Came around 10 am on Wednesday super busy was surprised to find parking, there is a larger parking area behind that you can walk from but the drive through and parking lot is overall confusing and hard to access. The drinks are great and the service is awesome but maybe because it's new and busy it defiantly took over 20-30 min for one drink to come out. Nice music and interior! I would probably only come again for drive through tho or in a few months when there may be less people. read more

Well first off congrats to BB for a new location, love to see them growing as I think they have a great product, even when they feel like the used car dealership of coffee. I mean seriosuly I have never been upsold so much in my life. Drive through is not long because the items take long to make, its the person taking the order trying to sell you everything on the menu......read the room you dont have much room for doing this. This is why the one star deduction, it took me 3 min to order a coffee.... Now I know the stars are going to be deducted for the drive up and location lack of parking, I think this is unfair as they had zero options to make it better than when it was KFC. I would say they are working with what they got. Speed, well so far so good, I think BB really has the system down minus the upselling 5 items to buy one coffee...... If youre not sure of what to get food wise....the OG Bowl is my fav along with the Chili crunch wrap, drink the Best Drink ever is a win and my Fav the Mango Buzz Energy. read more

This location is new to Santee and needs some help! I ordered coffee using the app. When I walked into the store, I was not greeted nor would anyone make eye contact with me. I stood and waited for my coffee order to be completed. At no time, did anyone ask if I was there to pick up an order. i used to frequent the Better Buzz in PB, but recently moved to El Cajon so I was absolutely thrilled that they opened this particular Better Buzz in Santee because it is on my way to work. I love the vibe of the store, I love how everyone is so polite and friendly and everything that I have ordered from there -- carnitas egg bites and hot/iced lavender tea lattes -- are always on point. A huge shout out to IMANI, who I encountered at the drive-thru when I FINALLY figured out how to get to it since the parking lot was all coned off to get the flow situated. IMANI shared my excitement of finally getting to order in the drive--thru and she made sure that I got exactly what I needed to get through my meeting-filled day.
