Many boba shops nowadays are hit or miss with their consistency, but every time I come to Kung Fu Tea, it's always a hit. This location is in the Dobbs Center Shopping Center. The plaza can get busy depending on the time of day, so parking might take a minute, but it's usually manageable. When we walked in, we were greeted right away. The menu is displayed clearly on TV screens to the left of the register, which makes ordering easy. I ordered the Kung Fu Green Milk Tea with boba at 75% sweetness and my partner ordered the Oreo slush. The staff were friendly and the transaction was smooth. They also offer a rewards system linked to your phone number, which is always nice if you come often. Seating here is interesting. There are traditional tables and chairs, but they also have an elevated floor seating area with cushions. It's a pretty large space and I'm curious to see it when the store is busy because it's a unique setup for a boba shop. There is also games provided if you are looking to hang out here with some friends. They also provide free Wi-FI. The real standout here is the boba. It's never mushy or bland. It has that perfect bounce and a rich honey flavor that makes it different from other places. I've heard they produce their own boba, which might explain the consistency. The boba itself is sweet, I recommend lowering your sugar level if you don't like overly sweet drinks. The green milk tea was creamy with clear green tea notes that came through without being overpowering. The Oreo slush was exactly what you'd expect, a classic cookies and cream flavor that was smooth and sweet. That consistency is what keeps me coming back. read more

Stopped by Kung Fu Tea and got the mango slush with lychee jelly balls. It was actually really good. The mango flavor was super refreshing and the lychee jelly was perfect. Everything tasted fresh and blended perfectly. Definitely a good choice if you're in the area. read more

Trying to find parking in this area is a nightmare. The Kung Fu Tea is tucked between the nail salon and Cosmo Prof, and when you finally do snag a spot, it's definitely tight. Chill vibe. Now, about the drinks -- I honestly thought, where's the rest of my drink? The menu or the ways they make the drinks may be slightly different from the Rancho San Diego location. I originally wanted a Matcha Milk with strawberry (not on the menu) so I ordered two medium drinks. What I got felt more like a child's cup than a medium. The balance of the drink was off too, which made me wonder why it wasn't listed. I ended up switching to a regular Strawberry Milk Tea instead. This time, it was actually really good -- lighter, not too thick, and tasty. The owner himself remade my order without any fuss, and he was super kind, which I appreciated. That said, I do wish they'd adjust the drink sizes. I would happily pay more if I had known the "large" here is basically the "medium" elsewhere. I guess that's what I get for assuming all Kung Fu Tea locations are consistent. Overall, the drink was good, the Bobba a little more mushy than it use too. After a hot workout class, I was craving a milk tea. I've been to the Kung Fu tea in the Convoy and always had good experiences, so I gave this one a try. I'd never had the Almond milk tea before but it was so. good. Seriously might be my new favorite! I ended up here with Tim last weekend. It was kinda warm day and craving some boba, and found this through yelp. I ordered the Thai Milk Tea with boba and Tim had the Mango Smoothie with boba, and Mango Popping Bubbles. It was actually not bad. I always like to find good places as my go to for tea, and sushi when I am unable to make it out to Convoy. It satisfied my craving. I did prefer Tim's Mango Smoothie. We will definitely be back again. I want to try their KF Milk Tea, Mango Green Tea, and their Taro Slush. Since it's been hot, it does get crowded. I did like the customer service. It was fairly quick and simple. And it smells so good when you step inside. There's a restroom that's always clean and plenty of seating. This is definitely the best boba spot in the area, they have such a huge array of flavors - sweet, savory, or something in between. They have slushes, smoothies, hot, cold, coffee, seasonal drinks, and even drinks made with milk alternatives (milk strike) so whatever your in the mood for they probably have something for you. The service is always quick even when they're busy. They have a few tables but it's not the most inviting spot to sit down and chat with friends. And the tables are always dirty. However if you are looking for a delicious boba place this is not it. This place makes drinks that are not flavorful but more like a organic version. I usually get Taro or Thai Milk Tea wherever I go. And this place makes them but totally different taste . The Taro does not taste like the Taro you are used to. All it took was for me to try something different and the large iced winter melon milk green tea with Boba at 70% sweetness was a love at first sip !!!!! Something refreshing about it on this warm Saturday 06/01/2019. I can't wait to come back and make this a stable stop when I'm in the area. There's a few chairs and tables inside where one can sit near the door and then of course they have that nice seating platform I think it might be bamboo that you have to take your shoes off in order to sit up there- it was super cool to just see people hanging out talking and enjoying themselves. The staff are busy at work making everyone's tea and specialty drinks but they also take the time to explain their menu to you. There's lots of options and I like the fact that not only is there a menu posted on the wall but there are several menus placed on the countertop that you can also pick up and look at. The restroom was super clean. This spot super clean place in general. You can tell the workers take pride in their environment. Great item selection! Great place for little pick me up. Get a haircut (next door) they have an Ulta in the mail so perfect for a tea and go shopping. This has been one of my go to boba places for years, and even though the prices have increased over the years, it's on par with most boba places. The service is always great and there's a decent amount of seating and parking available. The cocoa cream wow is a more unique drink that combines lactaid milk with cocoa powder and it makes it even creamier when you add a milk cap, which tastes like salty cream cheese. I tried their matcha milk for the first time and it was very smooth and paired well with a milk cap. The boba pearls are perfectly chewy and sweet as well. Will continue to recommend! read more
