Lovely spot. Young and respectful staff. I stopped by with my niece while out getting fresh air. I already knew what I wanted which was taro, but when I got there I saw the two magic words - red bean - so of course I changed my order right then. We both got the slushie option instead of the regular tea. Both with boba. The girl who helped us asked us for our sweetness level preference. I was too sick/tired to ask what that meant. I opted for regular sweetness. The place is super cozy. There's an area where you can sit Japanese style with cushions. You obviously have to take your shoes off. They also have WiFi which is usually the selling point for the kids. Definitely a place worth visiting over and over. If you check in on Yelp, you get a free topping. Five stars for service, you walk in and you are immediately greeted by the friendly staff. I wish I was more adventurous but I am so partial to "taro" so I had the taro concoction with red bean topping. I do love the option of how sweet you want your drink just in case you are borderline diabetic. I chose my drink at 50% sweetness and I found it flavorful still. I was offered the coffee variety but I decided not to try any coffee at this time so I will have to come visit again and try a different drink and definitely a review upgrade in the making. Fast service. For dairy alternatives, they have lactose-free milk only. Ordered a hot brown sugar ginger tea, less sweet with boba. Hot drinks are only large sizes. Drink was piping hot. Also ordered a Signature Puffle. Came out lukewarm, which is a but disappointing. However it is still delicious. I have had the original Kung Fu black milk tea, the Almond Milk Tea, and the iced Matcha Milk. They were all terrific and offered that great cold milky quality, not to mention they each tasted delicious. My favorite was the Kung Fu Milk Tea original at 1/3 sweet. The staff here are all very friendly and easy to talk to. I like that they took the time to discuss the differences about their teas and the ingredients they include. My usual go to when I feel like Boba tea. Each one is a franchise but the keeps are consistent at each one which I appreciate. First time at this location! This one has an interesting setup, they have a elevated stage area where they set it up as a sitting area. They have pillows to sit on and a wide variety of games to play. They also have chairs and tables if you prefer not to sit with your legs crossed on a pillow. No AC but they have a huge stand alone AC machine. It's bright and colorful inside. Service was quick and I liked my drink. I got a taro slush with Oreo 50% sweetness, should have went less it was still super sweet. Free topping with Yelp check in! Slightly different menu from the convoy location, but upon coming here several different times they are more consistent than I thought. The AC situation seems improved. The best thing to me about this chain is the fact that they have the freshest, best boba in town. I've tried several other highly rated places and the boba is never as fresh. Some places it's clumpy, hard, mushy like it's falling apart, etc. Gross right? Kung fu boba is tender yet chewy throughout, delicately floral, and doesn't sit more than an hour or two according to their sign. My only complaint is that there aren't fruit milk teas. I love the all natural house made ingredients but there HAS to be a way to formulate a fruit milk tea. I enjoyed a nice drink at this nice little establishment in Santee for the second time. I ordered something not on the menu, picking random things to add to it. See picture... I received the drink and was told I can never order it again because it not aloud by corporate. Let me tell ya...it's good!!! I'm sorry I can't order it again BUT it's ok. Out of the two drinks I ordered so far both were good and since I love my tea I'll be back...when Happy Lemon is to far to drive to. Review #093 - 2019 After our most recent visit to the KFT at our usual spot in Koreatown, we were kind of disappointed since our drinks weren't made correctly & I thought about giving up on trying another location. However, since I'd bookmarked this location for quite sometime, I decided to take a chance & give KFT one more try. We showed up around noon on April 5th, on our way back to LA. There were a few customers sitting inside & a few waiting in line to place their orders. We placed our order & our drinks were ready within five minutes. My drink was made exactly how it was supposed to taste when I first had it & became a fan. My son even mentioned that he was super disappointed that we came here, thinking that it would taste like the Koreatown location, but he was happy that it's so much better! One note; Not as good or iconic as the Convoy St. Location. As I am here, I notice employees entertaining themselves behind the counter while on their phones, and playing card games. I also noticed one employee eating at the register and laughing as another was sitting at a table cleaning, "mocking" as if he were a customer. Flavor wise, it's not as good as the Convoy location. They may use same products or such, but I feel as if the convoy location takes on more of a crafty approach to their beverages. We came here for the National Bubble Tea Day.. it was disappointing since there's no free or buy one get one.. we would've gone somewhere else. Customer service sucked. We didn't know and asked some questions so the girl at the register told us to sit down until we figure out what we want. What I want is the special that was posted all over Facebook and Instagram. So she asked her other worker to ring us up. Honestly it wasn't that busy and we never go to the National Bubbe tea day so we were curious and thought hey why not.. sounds like a good deal.. Not!! so I was disappointed. The app keeps freezing and turning off so I just delete it. TBH I am really not a frequent boba drinker. I have boba once in awhile for example every other month. Those days of drinking boba daily were gone LOL (teenage days). Kung Fu tea is the only bubble location in Santee and I was hankering for some boba. The location is very convenient to where I live, it is literally about two miles away. I will say I am no connoisseur of the boba, but I really do love the quality of their boba here. I feel that bubba drinks are way more expensive than they should be so that's why I only buy it every other month aside from no cravings (ranting)... A tea/boba place in Santee?? Whut?? I was so excited to see this in the same strip mall as Pho Ca Dao. There is a nice variety of drinks on their menu. They had the traditional selections: green, black, oolong, milk teas, fruity slushes and coffee. They even have unique flavors that I haven't seen anywhere else like Logan jujube tea (sweetened tea with bits of Logan and jujube fruit). My mom used to make a pitcher of this during summer and it would be so refreshing. Of course I had to try. Tastes just like Mom's but better (cuz I added boba). Don't tell her tho. The place is standard but I did notice the platform seating in the corner, where you have to sit like cross cross applesauce. Cute. They also make puffles here with ice cream. I always go to the location in Convoy, but we were in the area and stopped by here. The establishment is smaller, but brighter and better insulated. The a/c was on so high I was actually cold! I ordered the new Carribean Breeze, and it was actually a very subtle flavored smoothie. Also got the Wintermelon Milk Tea and it tasted as it should. I love coming here not only for the boba drinks but also for the puffle, aka Chinese pancakes. They look like bubble wrappers but really delicious to eat. The ones I used to get back in New York City were in Chinatown from the street carts where it cost 10 for a $1. The ones at King Fu Tea is a pandan flavor and its the color green. I've had it plain and with ice cream, which I really indulge since you can pick the flavor of ice cream and toppings. I like how they serve mini shovels as spoons like your digging for gold makes this treat photo ready too! Aside from the Kearny Mesa location. This location isn't busy with a line crazy out the door. This is our usual Saturday evening spot once a week. Drinks are always consistent (mine anyways) and a super fast turn around. Affordable (subjective) and pretty cool inside, though we never sit inside. Parking sometimes on the evening, especially on Saturday nights is full, even though it's a big lot, they share it with a couple of restaurants. Not much to say about it, we can never have enough tea/boba place in San Diego. read more

We really like Kung Fu Tea in Santee. We've enjoyed everything we've ordered so far. I like the milk teas, my son LOVES the java bubbles, and my daughter loves the slushies. My only gripe is how long it takes for my order to be ready. I order in advance from my phone, and still it takes several minutes for it to be ready once I arrive. It's a popular place so they are very busy. I wish they were open earlier than 11am since I like to order caffeinated drinks there, and I don't drink caffeine in the PM. read more

Get the brown sugar boba with 120% sweetness. That's the only right way to do it. I typically go to Mira Mesa to a specific boba shop but this place suffices. Waits are pretty short and they come out with drinks relatively quick compared to other boba shops I've been to during the pandamic. But as always you have to come here to try it out for yourself. Finally, a boba place in Santee! We came in on Wednesday afternoon and there were 2 ladies working. One was taking orders and the other was making drinks. There were a few people ahead of us but the drinks came out pretty fast. We barely had a chance to sit down. We ordered honey green tea and the mango green tea. Both were delicious! We ordered the mango green tea to be half sweeten but will order it to be not sweetened next time because I think the mango it in makes it a little extra sweet. I really love this place. I haven't had boba in quite some time and decided to give it another go. I also wanted my daughter to try new things so we ordered a couple of drinks when they were on Doordash for our area. I enjoyed the brown sugar boba in my drink and my daughter enjoyed her s'more drink as well! I also really like the lemonade tea drinks but did not care for the winter melon. I love how you can choose your level of sweetness as well. I'd really love some more sugar-free options though but overall a very good experience. Their employees are also super nice.
