Boy I wish I could have say this place rocked my world but unfortunately it's not really all that different than any other coffee place. They really didn't pick the best location in the world so it gets very busy and cramped. I have been to the location in San Diego and I would say the quality is good, but from an everyday it's just not practical and the value is not quite there. I only crave a frozen coffee drink once a year, I'm otherwise a tea drinker. I got the blended caramel iced coffee from here and it was so good I got another the next day. The parking lot here is a bit chaotic but you're in and out fast. The staff is friendly and welcomes you when you're ordering by giving their favorites from the menu. It is on the pricier end for breakfast as my spouse and I orders two breakfast items, two coffees and a croissant and spent around $45.00. But the coffee was flavored well. We had an iced horchata latte & mazapan cold brew that was nutty and yummy! This coffee spot is trendy and efficient. If it were down the street from my house this would be my new go too. For starters the girl taking our order was very rude. Being from the Midwest I love to make small talk and tend to be a happy person but she was not having it. She seemed annoyed and irritated with all our questions (we were the only ones in line). When I got my cold brew I was shocked at how milky it was. I got a cold brew with almond milk and vanilla. It is one thing to prefer coffee with more or less cream/milk but even the person with me said "this is just almond milk" after tasting it. I also got an açaí bowl. This place has amazing coffee. It's SO good. My only complaint is that every, and I mean every, single time I come here the service is terrible. The last two times I'd come I waited close to 15 minutes in the drive thru so normally I don't come as often as I'd like. That's fine I can adjust to that but the actual service/baristas never seem like they know what they're doing or they've just been hired. I'm excited to have a new booming business in the area. The staff is super friendly, and the service was quick, even as busy as they were. I've tried the cold brew, best drink ever, 3-seed avacado toast, and acai bowl and was pleased with my choices. The parking lot is small and can be challenging to get in and out of during busy times. It would be nice if they could take over some of the parking lot to the east of them, which is typically empty when I go by. I hope Better Buzz stays in AZ and continues to be a success!! read more

I've only stopped at the drive thru so no idea of the inside but the coffee and food left something to be desired. I ordered the cinnamon caramel cream cold brew and a ham and cheese breakfast croissant. First the prices are definitely higher than most of the coffee shops I frequent, it was almost $19 for these two items. Once I made it to the window I was handed a cold brew..but no caramel cream. When I confirmed this was my coffee, the employee tells me they ran out of what they needed to make the cold foam to top it. My sandwich came in a plastic container. I accepted the food and drink and drove about 5 minutes home. The coffee was fine - nothing really special, it tasted pretty run of the mill. The sandwich was disappointing. It was supposed to be toasted, but because of being in a plastic container, the residual heat and moisture basically steamed the croissant, so certain parts of it were gummy and gooey instead of flaky and crisp. Overall definitely not worth the prices they're charging, especially when they don't notify you they're out of ingredients and neither the food nor the coffee were better than anything you could get across the street at Starbucks. Really disappointed I've been to Better Buzz several times in San Diego so I was excited AZ was getting a location. Unfortunately, the coffee was disappointing I ordered the Moroccan spice and the mint infused coffee both taste like water down coffee with a bottle of spice dumped in and the "mint infused" had one single mint leaf not mint flavor. The location isn't ideal as it blocks a lot of traffic in and out and the service was mid. Better buzz is a hot new spot that all of my friends keep raving about! They have many options for unique, fun coffee. I will confess, I dont find their coffee to be anything to write home about but I do enjoy my Caramel Vanilla Latte with their vanilla bean subbed for the regular vanilla. Their muffins are also quite yummy! I have also tried the best drink ever and found myself disappointed and asking for a different drink as the best drink ever was nowhere close to the best drink I've ever had lol. The staff is not obviously happy to help when taking my order but they also aren't obviously rude. I also think the location is way too small given its popularity. The drive through is often very busy and makes it difficult to park to go inside. The indoor atmosphere is so cute but I personally find it to be way too loud. I find that it's hard to chat with my friends over coffee or get work done since the music is loud, the space is small and there is a lot of stuff going on. Overall, I know a lot of people really like this place, however it's not the spot for me given the overstimulating environment and underwhelming drinks and service. read more

I was pretty dissatisfied with this place. The "best coffee ever" was just a watery vanilla latte. I also got a bagel which was stale but not terrible. You could definitely make a better coffee at home. The positives were the really friendly and helpful workers and baristas. They had a lot of energy and were accommodating. I was so excited to see that they opened a location here in AZ after visiting the one in San Diego! The coffee is great, workers are so nice, and vibes are good. I would say that being the first location in AZ this company should prioritize their employees health and accommodate them with better gear for taking orders outside. The last thing that I want to see when in the drive thru is a worker in all black, no hat, no fan, no water, sweating, and all red from the 105 degree heat taking orders. Nothing amazing and luckily didn't have any issues in the parking lot - during the day it spills into the road and can get dangerous in my opinion. Went here for the first time since they opened. The inside is small but nicely designed with a good amount of seating area for the size. The cashier was very nice as was the rest of staff, and drinks were made quickly. While the inside is nice, it is not clean. There was only two tables with costumers and then 4 employees at the high top having a meeting. Every table was covered in split coffee or crumbs. It was a Monday at 1300 so maybe they had a rush and had not gotten to cleaning but I had to clean the table myself. The reason for the for the two stars is because of the actual product. The drinks come in 16oz and 24oz. They do have 8oz and 12oz available for hot drinks. I ordered a 12oz hot mocha latte, large iced coffee, and bear claw. The bear was unfortunately terrible - it was very dry and had maybe a teaspoon of filling, I took two bites and didn't even try to finish it after that. The large iced coffee was just ice. After two sips it was already at the bottom of the cup. The entire cup was ice, worse than Starbucks level of ice. Lastly, the mocha was way too sweet. If you are an overly sweet coffee lover then you'll probably like it. But, I prefer a balanced drink. I took a sip and couldn't finish. They were very nice and remade it for me- since maybe the size difference threw off the balance, but even the second time it was the same sweetness level. I did not finish my mocha either. It's a chain coffee shop, so it's to be expected that not every location is going to be amazing. However, Phoenix has a lot of amazing coffee shops, with much much better coffee and excellent pastries for the same price. I would advise trying else where if you are looking for a new spot. read more

It's very hard to try a new place when they make you order before seeing the menu. We went through the drive thru. I felt rushed ordering, and wish I would have known all the options before making a quick decision. I ordered the acai bowl and it was melted as soon as I got it and dripping down the sides so my hands were sticky as soon as I got it. Also, the coffee drinks are way too sweet which is why I would have loved to see that they have a less sweet option. read more
