I was visiting La Jolla, on a mother-daughter trip to San Diego earlier this year. As we waited for the sunset after a long day of walking around town, we decided to grab a coffee and a bite. Better Buzz coffee is located conveniently just 2-3 blocks away from the beach. They had an open space that melted with the outside which was pretty cool. It looked really modern and inviting. Spacious, with lots of seating - it made for a perfect stop along our day trip. It appeared to be quite a popular spot too. The lines were long and seating limited due to the amount of people. My mom and I got our order within about 10 mins so not the bestest of times but considering the amount of people we were pretty patient and neither was the wait terrible. We also got lucky someone was getting up as we were passing by and we were able to grab a table to rest and enjoy our coffee and meal. The coffee was delicious. I got latte which was priced around $7 which is standard these days for a coffee house of this caliber. The peanut butter and jam sandwich was also reasonable priced at $7 a slice. The presentation did impress me, but at the same time I expected something aesthetic from a stylish shop like that. For sure very Instagrammable spot if that is what you're into. read more

I came here on a Saturday and it was very busy. This spot is a little difficult to get to because the parking is very limited. Street parking is the only parking available and on a Saturday it was as busy as it can get. We luckily found some parking on the side so I was able to grab some coffee. It was a cool store with the ambiance like you're outside with it being almost all open air. It's right by the beach so it was perfect to giving a beach feel. I got the ice blended caramel coffee which was very sweet. It tasted more like caramel than coffee so if you want something super sweet that's the one to get. This place is always packed and that is a good y that what they offer is great. We walked up while visiting downtown La Jolla. Our wait to order was about 10mins. We ordered 3 coffee drinks and 3 warmed up pastries. There was a table outside becoming available, which was nice, so we grabbed it as soon as the previous party left. After about 10 more minutes, our order was ready. We enjoyed our items and sat for about 15mins. The outdoor time was cold and windy but it was such a great time here with our drinks and pastries and enjoying our family time. We will surely visit again. read more

The coffee here was amazing and the food was just okay. They sent us the wrong banana bread and the turkey pesto was bland. the breakfast sandwich was good but even the avocado toast was a bit disappointing (avocado puree instead of chunky). We also ordered several coffees; the best was the caramel coffee and snickerdoodle coffee. Maybe we can try other options off the menu or come in person (instead of DoorDash). read more

I love the food here and get different things all the time for the sake of trying it! The service is amazing and the team is always up beat! Songs are amazing and I think the DJ should get a promotion for making me live the good old days the 2010's were with memories I forgot I even had! Amazing staff that can't get a big enough shoutout! Bright gold letters announcing we had arrived. There were some outdoor tables with pink chairs if your 4 legged family member came along for the ride then waited while we had coffee and breakfast. We got a lavender latte and a cafe latte breve plus a turkey pesto sandwich and a side order of bacon for grandpup and me. Thanks Doc. I popped in today when I was on a walk with my friend and our babies. I love this location because it is super open and cute. It is also in a prime location. As always, Better Buzz did not disappoint. I got an iced hazelnut divinity 1/2 sweet and it was SO delicious. If you've never been to Better Buzz before, their drinks run sweet, but you can easily order it 1/2 sweet or even 1/4 or 3/4 sweet. I didn't get any food this time, but I can attest their food is delicious too. Nancy was the worker who helped us and she was amazing. I always love Better Buzz. Such a cute cafe!! Leslie was amazing. Super friendly, patient, and really knew her stuff. I had no idea what I wanted and she recommended an iced peppermint white mocha with toasted marshmallow cold foam, and it was SO delicious. This was my first time to this coffee shop. My second time to La Jolla. This was a very good find. I didn't try any of the pastries or food although they did look very yummy. However, I did have the very best cold brew that I've ever had. It was a cinnamon cold brew that I know wasn't a skinny version and may have had quite a bit of sugar, but it was worth every sip if I ever get back to La Jolla this is a must stop. read more
