Better Buzz fix when around the area of La Jolla Cove. Their app makes it easy for online ordering to beat the long lines for quick and easy service. Nice ample space with extra seating on the side back patio. Yummy coffee drinks can never go wrong with Best Drink Ever or Hazelnut Divinity just to name a few!
Great tasty coffee. I get espresso with a bit of milk and like the taste of the coffee here. We had slight issue with a drink order and they were able to resolve, appreciate that. Nice location. Open, airy. Close to the beach.
Great location, I love to meet my friend there when I am in La Jolla for a quick sweet bike or a nice coffee. It has the pleasant look and feel as many of the Better Buzz coffee shops, just being in La Jolla and so close to the water makes it more special. I like the structure of the store and the seating outside. I never have an issue finding where to sit, the issue is where to park!
It used to be great... note they have downgraded to a simple corporate store with super slow service, long lines and horrible food... One thing is to stand in line for 15 minutes to order but then the inefficiency of it, only to be rewarded with tiny portions that don't even fill half the container and in my case a blob of badly melted açaí with s mini sprinkle of the "special" offered toppings...
I can't believe how popular Better Buzz has become! I was pleasantly surprised to find this location as soon as I stepped out of the parking structure on my way to La Jolla Cove. I've been to several of their Orange County locations, so it was nice to stumble upon one while I was on vacation. It felt like a little taste of home, even if home is only about 90 minutes away. Of course, I ordered my go-to Snickerdoodle Latte, and it was just as delicious as it is at every other Better Buzz I've visited. The location is super convenient for anyone heading to or from La Jolla Cove, and I'm sure I'll be back the next time I'm in the area.
Thought it was a stand alone coffee spot but it turns out they have a few locations. We stumbled across it as we were walking in La Jolla and of course we had to try it It has an interesting outdoor indoor vibe. There was a line but it went pretty quickly. They had a variety of drinks but I opted for a summer special which had a coconut macadamia cream on top. Drinks came out quickly considering it was busy. Taste of the coffee was good, not too sweet and it was cute too!!! Just fyi bathroom line is longer than the coffee line
This place can get busy and there isn't much seating for the traffic that comes through. There's lots of food and coffee options which has nice. They have a lot of specialty drinks, tons of pastry items as well. The food does take a little while to get. Highly recommend the avocado toast.
Rob was great! He recommended me his favourite pastry which was the EB cream cheese danish! 10/10 recommend anyone visiting La Jolla :)
This place has been my go to during my trip here in La Jolla. They are conveniently located by my hotel. The staff is super friendly and the ambience is really bright and lit. They offer many different choices such as a blackberry cheese, danish, scones, and cinnamon rolls. Love coming here I'm going to miss it when I have to head back home to another state where we don't have this.
Such a yummy drink - dirty chai latte with oat milk and banana cold foam. The cashier was so sweet helping us out since we had never been there before and I was asking about the menu. Our drinks came out quick and we took them with us as we walked around the town! I would love to try different drinks from there if I ever get back to one in CA. The shop is so fun since it's half inside and outside. It's expensive, but most coffee everywhere is expensive - especially in CA.
Walked to Better Buzz with my husband from where we were staying in La Jolla since he used to come here. He ended up getting the breakfast biscuit and coconut buzz while I got the bacon ciabatta. Coconut Buzz - Actually pretty good, it was a little too sweet for my taste, but I liked the coconut flavor to it. Wished the ice were a little smoother since it all clumped together in the middle. Bacon Ciabatta - For $10, I could have gotten something a lot better. It was pretty bland and didn't have much in it. The spicy aioli sounded a lot better than it actually was. Honestly, I would probably go to Starbucks instead of Better Buzz. It wasn't a terrible experience, but it was nothing amazing either.
I had Better Buzz door dashed to work, and I was not disappointed! I do think that in general, Better Buzz might be a little more expensive than other coffee places. HOWEVER, the few times I've gone-they never ever miss on my drinks. What I mean by that is, I take one look at the color of the coffee and I know it's perfect. Whereas at other coffee places, I take a look at the drink and I know that they added too much creamer or not enough, just by looking at it and Better Buzz is very consistent, 100% in fact. So because of this, I'm willing to come here and spend a lil extra. Price aside, the drinks are always very very good. My favorite is the hazelnut divinity, it tastes like the milk leftover in your bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios. It's so so so good! I also ordered a prickly pear lemonade and that was really good, too! Highly recommend!!

I see a lot of bad reviews about service. I went in November and had such great service! The ladies were so nice to me and even chatted with me because they knew I was traveling. We visited on a Thursday and it wasn't too busy. I can see if it were a weekend it would get busier. Their signature drink is the Best Drink Ever. It's a classic americano and signature creamy vanilla. It was cool to see the layers and mixing it was pretty good. We also tried the the Mint Infused Iced Coffee. The mint flavor was spot on, I really enjoyed this one! read more

Showed up early, got in got out with some good coffee and some bomba azz snacks, hands down the must go to coffee house when in LA Jolla. *Staff is on point. *menus is easy to read. *Service is great. *communication is on point (especially this early morning 7AM) *No doubt (like the band) I'm sure you can't go wrong ordering any thing from this location. Go to coffee place when you want coffee, smoothies, food or tea. The different options allowed friends I was with to choose items other than just coffee. The coffee place is nice to sit and enjoy your items without rushing and has nice areas to sit and enjoy it, love the overall decor of Buzz coffee. I tried the pink dragon smoothie and was love that I was able to add or minus ingredients. The staff answered questions about items and the service was quick. You need a code for the bathroom so you just have to ask staff. read more
This was such a great location, nice and close to our hotel and a great way to start the morning. The OG açaí bowl was delicious, fruit was fresh and flavor was great. The almond butter and jam toast was also delicious, we went back for the toast a second time! The beat drink ever was my favorite coffee drink, not too sweet. Cute brunch spot and cafe with very open seating and great service. Food was good and drink was not very good. I tried their Buzz blended ice coffee and it was a very sweet slush that was overwhelming. Horchata Tea Latte (2/5): Coffee had a bitter, spiced acidic taste from and had a very faint hint of horchata flavor. It tasted woody, smokey and a burnt flavor that wasn't very pleasant. I wished there was a stronger horchata and sweetness presence to balance out the espresso flavor. Better Breakfast Sandwich (3/5): Hearty breakfast sandwich with a yolky fried egg and fair portions of ingredients. The arugula was a bit too bitter and overwhelmed the rest of the flavors and I wish there was a bit more garlic aioli sauce on the buns. read more

I was visiting La Jolla, on a mother-daughter trip to San Diego earlier this year. As we waited for the sunset after a long day of walking around town, we decided to grab a coffee and a bite. Better Buzz coffee is located conveniently just 2-3 blocks away from the beach. They had an open space that melted with the outside which was pretty cool. It looked really modern and inviting. Spacious, with lots of seating - it made for a perfect stop along our day trip. It appeared to be quite a popular spot too. The lines were long and seating limited due to the amount of people. My mom and I got our order within about 10 mins so not the bestest of times but considering the amount of people we were pretty patient and neither was the wait terrible. We also got lucky someone was getting up as we were passing by and we were able to grab a table to rest and enjoy our coffee and meal. The coffee was delicious. I got latte which was priced around $7 which is standard these days for a coffee house of this caliber. The peanut butter and jam sandwich was also reasonable priced at $7 a slice. The presentation did impress me, but at the same time I expected something aesthetic from a stylish shop like that. For sure very Instagrammable spot if that is what you're into. read more

I came here on a Saturday and it was very busy. This spot is a little difficult to get to because the parking is very limited. Street parking is the only parking available and on a Saturday it was as busy as it can get. We luckily found some parking on the side so I was able to grab some coffee. It was a cool store with the ambiance like you're outside with it being almost all open air. It's right by the beach so it was perfect to giving a beach feel. I got the ice blended caramel coffee which was very sweet. It tasted more like caramel than coffee so if you want something super sweet that's the one to get. Overall it was a great experience and the caramel coffee was pretty good. read more

This place is always packed and that is a good y that what they offer is great. We walked up while visiting downtown La Jolla. Our wait to order was about 10mins. We ordered 3 coffee drinks and 3 warmed up pastries. There was a table outside becoming available, which was nice, so we grabbed it as soon as the previous party left. After about 10 more minutes, our order was ready. We enjoyed our items and sat for about 15mins. The outdoor time was cold and windy but it was such a great time here with our drinks and pastries and enjoying our family time. We will surely visit again. read more

The cutest location! Went to snag a coffee before we went swimming at Wind & Sea. Love the pink on the table when you walk in! Was greeted by Nancy, she was so cheery & happy. The coffee here was amazing and the food was just okay. They sent us the wrong banana bread and the turkey pesto was bland. the breakfast sandwich was good but even the avocado toast was a bit disappointing (avocado puree instead of chunky). We also ordered several coffees; the best was the caramel coffee and snickerdoodle coffee. Maybe we can try other options off the menu or come in person (instead of DoorDash). read more
Bright gold letters announcing we had arrived. There were some outdoor tables with pink chairs if your 4 legged family member came along for the ride then waited while we had coffee and breakfast. We got a lavender latte and a cafe latte breve plus a turkey pesto sandwich and a side order of bacon for grandpup and me. Thanks Doc.
