This is a quaint Cafe for breakfast or lunch. There is a good selection of muffins, pastries, breakfast bowls, burritos, waffles, wraps and coffee/juice. There is indoor and patio seating, either spot is nice and clean. Inside has cute wall art with a beach and parrot theme. I enjoyed a nice matcha hot tea with a touch of honey from this Parakeet Cafe location at La Jolla Cove Hotel & Suites. With the matcha tea, I had a pulled apart baked good, too. The matcha was very good. The young lady who made it did a very good job preparing it. It offered that good matcha flavor, hardly any bitterness, and a touch of sweet from the honey towards the end. The pull apart was good. It had different levels of flavors and chocolate chips in it as well. I was not as pleased with its texture as I thought I was going to be, but it was tasty. Service was prompt and friendly. They offer mostly morning beverages, baked goods, and some small bites at this location only. They don't offer the extensive menu as the other Parakeet Cafe's do. read more

To start off with I only ordered 1 drink the cold cream vanilla cold brew ! I did get the fruit danish which was really good, the jicama chips which were a little too hard and the coconut wafers I have yet to taste. But anyways back to my drink I waited almost 20 min for that drink. We sat while my daughter ate her danish and my bf kept telling me "I think they forgot your drink cuz they're just standing and talking." But I was like I'll just wait a few more minutes. After 2 new customers came and ordered and received their drinks before me I finally got up and told them that I was waiting on my drink. Apparently they did forget about it. Not even 2 minutes later I get my drink, which was mid nothing crazy good about it. They did offer a free pastry but I said no. And just as we were walking out they said they would refund me my order. I'll post an update if I get it refunded. read more

Would absolutely order again and dream about later. The latte art was also a beautiful touch. And the staff was super nice! This location only has drinks and pastries, so be aware it is not a full kitchen for breakfast like their only locations. I went to this cafe today with my daughters after hearing all the good things about them. it took a long time for our food to come out then one dish arrived cold and the other two didn't come till a good 15 minutes later. on top of that, there was literally no chicken in the chicken sandwich and the eggs were scrambled vs over medium as requested. a very disappointing experience. read more

Wifey and I had the pleasure of finding this little gem today! It's a beautiful set up directly across from the La Jolla Cove Park. The staff were awesome and the manager Savannah was really cool! Super close to the beach and a good view. But the drinks are just ok. I got the Mayan mocha. As an Indian who can handle a good amount of spice, it was way too hot to drink even a few sips. I wanted some caffeine so ordered a cappuccino and that was great. My cousin ordered iced lavender latte which was very basic.
