I've had Better Buzz a few times in the past at different San Diego locations and was thrilled to see that they were opening one up in Fullerton. I normally do not frequent these big chain coffee shops but I remember Better Buzz always being great! Also, the convenience of having a drive-thru is a nice touch! Here's what I ordered: **Best Drink Ever: I've had this particular drink twice and have always liked it but this one was not it. I ordered it half sweet so maybe it was because of that. The flavor was so weak that I could taste was very light vanilla water. This was the worst drink ever. (0/5) **Cinnamon Cream Cold Brew: The cinnamon cream top was delicious but the cold brew was really watered down as well. Easily the worst cold brew I've ever had. Even Starbucks has better cold brew and that's really sad. There was also so much syrup on the bottom of my drink that I could not finish the bottom portion of my drink. (1/5) I understand that this is a new location but Better Buzz is a well established coffee spot so I expected their quality control to be up to par. On the bright side, the people working there were great. Super friendly and they worked fast to get their drinks out in lightning fashion. It's a super busy spot so be prepared to wait. This place is buzzy! And now I see why. The app and drive thru option make it convenient to order, and quite a few items I've tried are pretty good. It also has a lot of tables and chairs for people to hang out and chat, or maybe do some work if they don't mind the noise. My favorites so far are the Best Drink Ever, orange matcha latte, and miso caramel latte (seasonal). Love the refreshing tropical taste of the orange matcha from the coconut milk, though I wish it came in a larger size other than 12 oz. The hazelnut divinity is also pretty good. I've also tried the Moroccan spice iced coffee, ube cold brew, and blueberry pancake cold brew; unfortunately they're not my cup of tea (or coffee hah!). Most of the time the drive thru line looks intimidating, so I haven't tried the drive thru service. At first I just ordered inside, but after coming back for the third time in a week -ish, I relented and downloaded the app. It makes ordering so much faster since my order is always ready when I get there to pick it up. No more waiting for them to make my order, which can take a little bit of time as they're super busy (though still relatively quick considering how many orders they get), and I accumulate reward points towards a free drink. I'm extremely disappointed with my experience at Better Buzz Coffee. Not only was the coffee itself (Vanilla Bean Latte) underwhelming, but the customer service made the situation much worse. The drink tasted watered down and wasn't even filled to the top for a 16oz cup. When I politely asked if they could top it off with milk, I was met with a blank, bothered look--as if my request was an inconvenience. When I got the drink back, I immediately noticed it was leaking from the lid. Sure enough, after taking a sip, the lid came off and the coffee spilled on my shirt and pants. When I asked for a new lid, the employee casually responded that their lids have been "wonky lately"--with no apology or urgency to fix the issue. I then asked if I could have the drink transferred into a larger cup to avoid another spill. Again, I was met with attitude and a sarcastic tone: "Yes, we can get you a large cup." At that point, I even asked if he was okay, since I was the one dealing with the spill and frustration. Overall, this experience was a complete disaster. Customers can tolerate mediocre products if the service is consistent and respectful--but one interaction like this is enough to lose a customer entirely.
