First time trying Buzzed today. Ordered a 16oz blended mocha, no whip. It was absolutely delicious. Ham and cheese croissant, bread was perfect and fluffy. So flavorful. Caprese sandwich looked amazing! The bread was soft, it was missing the balsamic glaze and the flavor was bland and lacking . Unfortunately we both were in the restaurant within 20 minutes of eating. The food is good, I got the new chili jam sausage croissant and it was fresh and crispy. Really good!! I haven't had anything to truly disappoint me on food, the quality is consistent. But I will say a little pricey for the amount you receive. Service was ok. It could definitely be better. The menu is overwhelming to look at, and I have a hard time choosing when I drive through. But it's frequently a thing where you get the sense the person taking your order kinda expects you to know what you want already. I often just decide not to go here for that reason because I get social anxiety and this kinda spikes it. I'll be honest the barista recommendations haven't really wowed me yet. I love that all the workers here seem to get along and have a good time. But it feels like the customer experience is definitely set to the side or put as a secondary priority. Like many reviewers have said: most coffee and matcha on the menu is just a dressed up vanilla latte. Vanilla is a great flavor but don't expect anything profound here. What I do enjoy is their coffee smoothies menu the blended mango energy buzz is nice I definitely recommend meeting friends or work buddies here, but the atmosphere is really loud if you're just trying to relax and get work done. The vibe is definitely more social setting for the cafe. Their handoff for your drink in the cafe is pretty much tiny/nonexistent and they don't really call your name either so don't be afraid to check up on your drink if it's been a minute. I had been eyeing this coffee shop for weeks until I finally stopped to sample their seasonal drinks. I chose the pumpkin cold brew with 1/4 sweetness. My daughter tried the iced pumpkin chai and immediately stated it was one of the best chais she's ever had (she's brutally honest). Their pistachio croissant was warm, crispy, and savory. WEIRD experience. I usually like Better Buzz, so I don't know if they changed their customer service lately, but the drive thru lady tried to upsell us on EVERYTHING. She wasn't even very friendly, very monotonous, but she KEPT asking if we wanted food, pastries, to add avocado, if we wanted a large, etc. It was really annoying, especially when I knew what I wanted. I said NO to the large americano, she charged me for a large anyway. But by the time I noticed I wasn't going to ask for a refund. There wasn't nearly enough ice in there so I just had an incredibly watered down drink.. I ended up saying yes to adding avocado on my chili crunch because she said it's "the most popular way to enjoy it" and it was TWO DOLLARS for the tiniest bit of mashed up avocado in a dinky little solo cup. Also, see photo, it's literally called a chili crunch wrap and I see NO chili crunch. I dug around and could not for the life of me see any sign of chili crunch save for one flake. I also always ask for cinnamon cream cold brew half sweet and she had the strangest push back saying it's already less sweet and so I ended up just saying fine I'll have it as it comes.. The caprese sandwich bread is horrible. It's over toasted and hard on the edges (same for my chili crunch wrap tortilla). And it was fully heated so I had soggy tomato and the saddest amount of arugula. read more

The coffee and atmosphere were fine, but it was uncomfortable to witness what appeared to be poor treatment of employees. The manager (I assume it's the manager) (Short asian man) spoke to staff in a way that seemed disrespectful and created a tense environment. Customer service is important, but so is treating employees with professionalism and respect, being treated poorly is obviously going to affect the employees customer service, come on we're all human and have feelings. I witnessed him getting visibly angry with employees over drive-thru window times, speaking to them in a way that felt disrespectful and unnecessary. The staff appeared to be working hard, yet were met with frustration instead of support. A busy rush is not an excuse to treat employees poorly. Watching the interaction created an uncomfortable atmosphere and made me feel bad for the staff. Management should be focused on leading the team, not taking out stress on employees. Going into a coffee shop I enjoy to see the employees enjoy themselves and their job having a good time working alongside their coworkers. I hope this isn't a daily occurrence for the employees. Unfortunately, that experience left a negative impression. read more

Just ordered from better buzz in Fullerton. Came in at 8:45 on Sunday. Many people studying . Door says open until 11. But when we came in the employees looked at us as if it was 10:59. No one greeted us... took about 2 minutes to acknowledge us standing at the counter. When one of the employees finally decided to come to us, this is how he started the interaction... " name for the order" Then at this time two employees had headsets, one of them was saying things very softly, and the girl would laugh and told him to be quiet. Made us felt like we were not supposed to ordering. We were planning on staying and hanging out, but with the feeling we had.. we decided to leave. Then as our order was being taken care of... another guy pops his head out from the back to only see us and mutter something under his breath and go back to hiding. Then another person comes behind us and try's to order... and the cashier said, "we are closed" ... she turns around and leaves. Again, the door says open until 11. And the restaurant is filled with people studying. Also, we have rewards, but the cashier didn't ask. I wish I got a name... but all I know is he had a mustache and the worst attitude. Then I go and check the now hiring sign and noticed this location is looking for a new general manager.... It all makes sense now. These kids are making this place a place I don't want to visit. I was a first time customer and I went with a vanilla latte. When I pulled up to the drive thru there were a few employees standing by the sign taking orders. I didn't get much time to check out the menu and it all felt very rushed. Offering cold foam is nice but please tell us it's extra up front. We came through the drive thru at 2:47 pm on Sunday afternoon, one of the managers, I'm assuming (black hair and black pollo shirt), was working the drive thru window. It was hard to hear us at the speaker but she had said 2 large drinks and one regular so we wanted to clarify, instead of letting us finish our sentence she asked if we had our rewards. When we made sure that all of our drinks were large she hardly even looked out the window at us while taking another order and nodding while looking at the register in front of her. As someone who used to live in San Diego, I was excited to hear that they opened a Better Buzz location in Fullerton. I came to study for a few hours and enjoyed the atmosphere. Although it was a cold and rainy day, the cafe was lively with people coming in & out, or doing work. There was plenty of seating but beware of coming during a rush, all the seats were taken at one point. I got the Hazelnut Divinity at full sweetness because it was my first time ordering it & I wanted to try it as is. However, it was way too sweet for my liking. I asked the baristas if I could add some milk or purchase another shot and they kindly made me another drink right away. At 50% sweet, it was perfect. Great customer service and good ambience. When I was vacationing in SD, I went to better buzz every day because it was that good. I finally got the chance to try the one in Fullerton and it was just as good! I came on a Saturday morning and there plenty of seats and table still available. There are constantly people walking in to order so it was pretty loud. This place is new and definitely popping. Came on Sunday late morning and it was very busy. The line was pretty long but moved fairly quickly. The service was great, the cashier answered my questions since it was my first time. They also brought 2 of the items I ordered to the table. I had the "best drink ever" which was good, not out of this world, but a solid choice which I would get again. It reminded me of Philz. My husband got a snickerdoodle latte which was extremely sweet and he said he would not get it again. To eat I tried the ham and cheese croissant which was good. We also tried the donut holes, which are custard filled. Not too sweet so I liked them. Inside the place is very cute, with lots of cute merchandise available for purchase. This particular location is brand new, and it's hard to tell if the busyness was because it just opened and will eventually die down a bit, or if this will always be as crazy as it is now. Right now I would say not the best place to chill or remote work. I prefer coffee shops a bit more slower paced. Of course i have been to the one in encinitas and was very happy we got one locally! My mom really loves this place so we went together. It is a good sized space and decorated very cute and clean. It has 2 bathrooms and a nice outdoor space. Plenty of parking but it was already super busy when we got there, esp the drive thru! I got one of their breakfast sandwiches for the first time (bacon egg and cheese) and it was DELICIOUS! I got their matcha latte. My mom got the pistacio croissant and a honey latte. They have excellent pastries but im just not wild about their drinks. Everyone is welcoming here and its a good place to study or just hang out, so definitely drop by! read more

We were long overdue for a new coffee shop in this part of fullerton. I was very happy to see the south Oc OG coffee shop Better buzz took over. I have to admit I was treading muddy waters by deciding to visit their grand opening weekend. I can happily say that the folks at better buzz not only anticipated the rush but they were staffed and prepared. Better buzz handled the rush with such ease it probably should be studied. Our menu items that we ordered were, breakfasts waffle sandwiches, better breakfast, iced hazelnut divinity and bursting blue raspberry. Not only did our orders come out in a timely manor but we were able to find some seats to sit down and enjoy our breakfast. Also the way they transformed this old Burger King was great, it was a really good vibe with a lot of space with outdoor seating and of course accompanying their own customer better buzz play mix that was keeping everything buzz worthy. I absolutely loved both breakfast options, the waffle sandwich was thick smoked bacon with scrambled eggs all tucked between a thick sweet toasted waffle. But not to our shine my favorite of the two. I love a sando that's on brioche buns, it automatically gets a higher rating in my book, but this sandwich was with thick smoked bacon, fresh arugula eggs and a perfectly toasted brioche bun. It def had me wanting more. With the endless drink options I can't wait to try other variety's at better buzz, happy to say I'll be visiting soon! read more

I didn't realize how early they open WOW!! I was going to say I wished they were open a little later in the evening. Ok, let's start by saying the first time I was introduced to Better Buzz was when I was on a weekend getaway to San Diego. We'd only visit Better Buzz when we traveled down south. I was so happy to find out in January they opened one "in my own backyard" (that's an amazing podcast series, go listen to it). My friend and I, or only I have been to this location many times. I love it! There's plenty of parking for both your cars and your bodies. The space it huge, but can get very very crowded. They play all sorts of amazing music. Sometimes I catch myself having a singalong, much to the chagrin of my neighbors. There are two very clean bathroom. You need a code to get in. The service is great. Even at the drive-thru. Everyone has always been so welcoming. They even gave me free stickers once. The coffee has always been so yummy. I ALWAYS get the Snickerdoodle Latte. It's yummy. Once in the drive-thru, I accidentally ordered a Horchata Latte (get those at Tierra Mia). I didn't really care for that. I thought it was just ok. BUT that was my mistake. I'm not a big pastry fan. So I haven't ordered pastries. I've orders a turkey pesto sandwich, it's good . I just don't like to order sandwiches when I can make them at home. I've gotten two of their bowls and they are HUGE! Get them to go. Once I ordered one I couldn't finish. I had to throw it out because I wasn't going home. I had NO idea how big it was going to be. Large space with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. They have merch and right now they have ube drinks. I ordered the hot pocket with was delicious and filling. The ube coldbrew, no adjustments. I'm very particular about ube flavoring. It tasted a bit tart but not terrible. Not my favorite ube drink, but I've had worse. In any case, I like the ambiance and convenience of Better Buzz Coffee.
