I love coming to this place however I believe I feel I need to change locations after this experience. We ordered an iced oat milk chai and an eggnog latte. The chai was delicious however the eggnog latte felt very light on the handoff and when we checked there was a good amount of like 1/4 of just cup. When we asked to fill it up more we were given what we asked but along with a smirk and a nasty attitude by the barista who remade it. I'm sorry but when customers don't get what they ordered for a $6 coffee it just feels like a scam at this point. Disappointing Experience at Better Buzz My recent visit to Better Buzz left much to be desired, unfortunately. Walking in, I was immediately struck by how loud it was inside, ike staff, customers and the music were competing to be heard. . The atmosphere felt cramped and crowded, which made the whole experience somewhat uncomfortable from the outset. The lobby area was in dire need of attention. It appeared dirty and disheveled, which was quite off-putting. It detracted significantly from the overall ambiance of the place. Sitting down with a cup of coffee should be a relaxing experience, but having to clear my own area, pick up the place a bit (straighten chairs, clean the water/sweetener area) it was just disappointing - and let's not talk bathroom - ewwwww. While ordering, I couldn't help but notice that the prices were surprisingly high considering the quality and service provided. The menu items did not seem to justify the astronomical prices charged. Customer service was lackluster. There was no notable effort from the staff to engage with customers or provide a welcoming experience. It felt impersonal and rushed. In my opinion, Better Buzz should consider installing self-service kiosks to streamline ordering process and potentially lower prices to better match the overall experience offered. Overall, my visit to Better Buzz was underwhelming. The combination of loud surroundings, a cramped feeling, neglectful lobby conditions, high prices, and poor customer service left much to be desired. I hope they consider addressing these issues to improve the dining experience for future patrons. I was super disappointed - there is a location coming to my hometown in Tempe, AZ and thought I would carry this experience back home while we waited for our location to open. With so many local (and other chain) coffee shops my money is better spent elsewhere. read more

We went in to order.The first two drinks we ordered could only be made hot. The menu literally says "most drinks are available hot or iced" so we asked how many can only be made hot, and she said just like 2 or 3. UM OK. So we got the iced horchata thinking that was the safe bet since it said iced in the name. Bird Rock has a much better dirty horchata. Any of the Portos cafes in LA do too. More importantly, the bar areas at these locations are way neater too. I have never stepped inside a Better Buzz. There's a drive-thru in San Marcos and a storefront at the mall in Mission Valley that I've been to. Unfortiunately, I learned that it is probably better not to step inside a CC cafe because this one was not clean at all. The bar where you pick up drinks looked like it was wiped down 50-60 drinks ago. Also the chairs were sticky, the table wall had coffee stains all over the underneath the table (oh lord...) it was full of crumbs and more sticky stuff. Not impressed with the coffee, service or setting. I emailed via their website, heard nothing back. read more

Lifelong BB committed lover here. I want to relay a bad experience I had at your Escondido location today, Saturday 09/07. Drive thru line took a good 20 minutes, 5-6 cars ahead of me and maybe 4 behind. It seemed they were taking one car, pausing the order, until the window car left. By the time I realized I was stuck, I saw multiple customers go in and out of the storefront. I assumed short staffing, until I finally got to the window by 1:57 and counted 8-9 employees standing there. 5 chatting, maybe one customer ordering, maybe none. How are 8-9 employees not able to get cars thru drive thru sooner than 20 minutes? Sitting in 100 degree weather, driving out of my way to get my favorite Iced BDE for that service sucked. I hope your amazing expansions do not deplete the great service you've gotten us historically used to. Feels like the OG, "welcome to better buzz" are not felt in the same way. Please focus on maintaining your brand and reputation, timing in drive thru should never hit 20 minutes. Hire Better, not more! read more

This place is so cute inside, very earthy and modern, they have cute hexagon signs with their menu and a great variety to choose from. They have ground coffee and cups available as well. I placed a mobile order through the app and it was finished up just as I got there ( just like the app said it would be) it was super simple and easy to do, I signed up for their rewards and now I have a free coffee as a reward for signing up. I got the hazelnut divinity for my coffee and it was super sweet and delicious and the avocado toast for breakfast. Everything was freshly made there and the staff were friendly. Is it a better buzz? Better than who? and also.. no... My go to is a black cold brew at most places and Starbucks can fulfil that for me for $4.45 for a trenta, light Ice. Maybe if I was more in to specialty drinks I would appreciate this place more. The "best drink ever" was not exactly the best drink ever, and while I did appreciate it, I can't say I appreciated the $5 price tag that afforded me 3 swigs of a drink. The reason that I came here is that my wife rants about the Avocado Toast, and while I am not someone who would ever normally intentionally order... avocado toast... I came here and intentionally ordered avocado toast. I did ask questions, specifically regarding the microgreens, and if they contained cilantro ( it tastes like soap to me, hate on me if you will ). I asked for no cilantro, no microgreens. After what seemed like a puzzling long time to make 2 pieces of bread with avocado on it, mine did not have the pile of microgreens on it.. however it did have cilantro mixed in with the avocado. I really do.... not....like to be that guy, and send something back. I just can't do cilantro which is why I ordered it without. I brought my toast inside, and said Hi, I think that there is cilantro in here, however I ordered this without cilantro as I can't eat it, and I ordered it without microgreens as those tend to contain cilantro as well. I was met with nope, that is not cilantro you are good its just microgreens.. I expressed that I ordered it without microgreens as I cant do cilantro, and most microgreens have cilantro in them ( in my experience ) and I again got the nope there is no cilantro in that. I said ok great then, since I 100% cannot have cilantro I guess I am ok? Finally I got the, well I guess I could go ask in the back if that has cilantro in it, which it did. They did remake my toast, which was nice. I did not expect that ordering toast, and eating it outside at a place that had only a few customers would be an experience to take over an hour, I would state that this place does not appear to be "quick" which is quite ok, or would be ok if the items were made correctly! I was full after eating it, so that served its purpose, however I am going to go back to being the guy I was previous to this venture, and not intentionally order avocado toast again. read more

(Escondido Felicita - Sat 11/1 around 7:30am) It is evident that she loves her position at BB and does everything to make the customers happy. My boys told me I have to get coffee at Better Buzz whenever we go to San Diego and they were right. I love my drink! I got a caramel buzz coffee with an extra shot of expresso. It was yummy! I used to come here a lot but these past few months, they have been very inconsistent with how their drinks taste. An iced best drink ever is my go to and I usually get it how it comes, but one day it was super sweet, more than usual. The next time I got it 3/4 sweet, but it was so bitter and the color was really dark so I knew it wasn't made right. I went back after that and got it 3/4 sweet again and it was even worse. After spending over $20 on a drink and açaí bowl, and tipping 25%, I got to the window, and they gave me my drink. I tasted it and it tasted like it had lots Of sugar and dairy, which I asked for substitutes and paid extra for Both!. I asked them to make sure that they did include my modifications because it tasted so good, I was being really kind and joking around, the girl at the window was super rude and remade it, then I asked for another straw, and she basically threw it into my car. Finally stopped by for some coffee. My large vanilla bean latte was great, just enough sweetness for my liking. Service was fast and friendly. The employee was very helpful in answering all my questions about the different drink options. I have been wanting to try Better Buzz Coffee for years, and I finally got the opportunity to a few days ago! I would say their coffee meets the hype! The shop appeared very clean, very aesthetically pleasing and cute! The staff seemed nice. To me this place had hipster vibes. It took a few minutes for someone to take my order even though I was the only one standing in line when I arrived, but that's okay, it gave me more time to look at their menu and figure out what I wanted. They have a drive through at this location! I ended up getting an iced oat milk latte (they didn't have soy milk). The other non-dairy option was almond milk. It was yummy! Definitely high quality coffee and I like how the price point is more reasonable in comparison to coffee places in LA. Would definitely return again the next time I am in San Diego! (: read more

Ordered a chili crunch wrap through the drive through over the weekend from here for breakfast. Had to pull around to the front to wait for the food which was fine. It came out quicker than i expected but once I took a bite i knew why. The hash brown patty inside wasn't that far off from being frozen still and was not cooked at all. Obviously made the meal completely inedible at that point. Won't be ordering food there again. read more

My favorite coffee shop when I want a treat. I enjoy the coconut buzz with coconut milk. Drinks are pretty sweet and pricey but as expected. I prefer going to this location since it has a dine-in area and has faster service than the busy drive-thru one off of San Marcos. read more

Honestly Better Buzz is great but your drive thru system needs to get better as far as how you do orders. What is it with having to take the order after the person in front gets everything like what's the point of a drive thru at that point! Even more when you make us wait in front of the store instead of the drive thru. It'll flow better because of now the lines stay long due to no flow!having to wait for someone to get their drinks and then get helped while you had time to take an order.
