Fantastic Find: Cocina de Ledezma…read more After a hike, I was on the hunt for some great local Mexican food and found La Cocina de Ledezma--what a gem! The food was incredible and tasted fresh. I tried three different tacos and a Quesabirria, each packed with great flavor. Their birria was especially impressive--it's hard to find good birria! To top it off, there's a coffee cart across the lot with refreshing drinks. I had a Lotus energy drink, and my girl had a spritzer--both hit the spot after a long day outdoors. The service was as amazing as the food. The brother at the register was super friendly, sharing how they prepare everything with care, and his sister in the truck was incredibly sweet and courteous. The two girls at the coffee cart were also lovely and added to the welcoming atmosphere. Though I live far, I'll definitely be coming back. Three times now we have tried to go to them for dinner in our area when they've posted times on social media, but they often leave early without posting that they'll shorten their hours for the day. When we asked about this tonight after missing them again, we got a simple reply about a slow evening without giving us any incentive to come back and try them again. Their portions seem a bit smaller than other competing food trucks that stop in the same area, and the prices are a bit higher. We wouldn't mind giving them another shot, but not in the near future.
