Had to come checkout the coffee flights here at this spot. The barista was super friendly and made it a fun experience. The theme was Valentine's Day special can't wait to return to try the March flavors . The shop was very festive inside as well. Parking is tricky you can park on ally or on the street if you want to stay a bit. Definitely looking forward to returning soon . read more

This location stops offering service ahead of closing time. We asked for a couple of plates and were told no--that kitchen was closing in one hour. Twenty minutes before closing, they start cleaning the restroom and you cannot use it. Then, 15 minutes before closing, they lock you out onto the patio. It's clear these people want to leave as soon as it's 5pm. Aside from that, the girl working the counter is very abrupt in her responses. Coffee is good but customer service is very poor. If you like Ryan Bros coffee AND want great service, go to the Barrio Logan location. read more

Cutesy, can get quite busy and the indoor seating is rather awkward. Coffee house vibes, the sandwiches aren't half bad though I only stick to one so can't speak on the majority of the food. Dog friendly, have plenty of outdoor seating for you and the pet. read more

Customer service is so bright and friendly here! They help you decide on what you should get. I love the outdoor seating here as well. I got the salted caramel white chocolate mocha latte iced and the cowboy sandwich on everything. The sandwich was amazing, pretty big so I ate half and then the other half later. RYAN BROS COFFEE, SAN MARCOS. My iced salted white caramel latte with coconut milk hit the spot on this gorgeous sunny Thursday and the vibe was so right for a lunchtime chat. We sat on the covered patio where there are plenty of tables of varying sizes with individual seats as well as benches with backs, a few seat cushions could be found. We were greeted with a warm smile and drinks were brought to us out on the patio in a timely yet comfortable timeframe. I loved everything about my experience today and will definitely be back! read more

The baristas were so kind. I got a Blended Dirty Chai and the Cowboy sandwich on an everything bagel And both were 10 out of 10! I did split the bagel with my mom because, personally, it was a lot of food. The aioli had a good kick, so if you're not a fan of spice, you won't be a fan of the sandwich (or maybe ask for less aioli). The blended dirty chai was great, I got it with whipped cream (obviously). It was sweet, but also bitter. The prices aren't too bad either (for a SoCal coffee shop) Cozy ambiance, chill music, good lighting. A couple seating arrangement options. There's a bathroom open to customers. The coffee and food overall tasted great. The have a few seats inside and outside. Staff were nice and the place was clean. Only reason I took down a star is because the sandwich is smaller than other places I've had turkey avocado blts at and because there weren't a lot of coffee options. I would return again. A friend wanted to stop in and get coffee. I came in to see if they had matcha. They did! But then I saw the menu. I chose the orange rooibos latte with oatmilk and I wasn't disappointed. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. I accidentally spoke too loudly on the phone with a friend who called and immediately felt the cafe was more of a quiet place. I picked this place because of the art in the pictures and I was researching black owned coffee places in the area. After some research it is not black owned BUT they are a part of community outreach programs and to me that's amazing as well. As far as coffee goes these espresso shots are very smooth! The drink was made the exactly way I ordered it. My drink is very specific- 4 shots of espresso with very light oat milk & one pump of vanilla. The barista didn't flinch- she smiled and took my order. Which I was very thankful for. Secondly, I ordered a TBA- breakfast sandwich turkey bacon and avocado with so much more. Lastly they do have different specialty drinks that looked great- I am just not a sweet coffee person. Overall- service was great, atmosphere definitely able to get work done, great seating. I came here for coffee and ended up getting that, along with a sandwich. The female employees were so nice and the coffee and food were delicious! The best part, the VIBES. They have inside seating that gets full QUICK, but luckily they still had some seats outside in a covered patio, and the breeze coming through made it so relaxing. While I really enjoyed my BEC bagel sandwich, I didn't particularly enjoy the coffee. The bagel sandwich I give a 10/10. Coffee is okay, nothing a coffee snob would like. Sweet tasting burnt coffee, similar to Peet's, coffee bean, etc. fine if you're into that kind of coffee. I loved the searing options and ability to get work done at the shop. The customer service fell very flat and wasn't necessarily the best but that didn't really ruin the experience. The shop itself is nice but I don't know how people are working or studying when it's so loud in there. The worst part was the drinks my friend got a chai that was literally nothing but milk with a hint of cinnamon, very disappointing. I got the coconut caramel latte and the flavors weren't bad but the oat milk is horrendous. I know it's not their fault but it was hard to get past especially since i paid and extra .75 cents. Lastly my other friends coffee lacked flavor and was just really milky. Disappointed we didn't get the amazing experience everyone else had. read more

I think it might just be this location but it's just an incredibly standard coffee shop. I don't think the coffee is insanely high quality or incredibly well made it's just coffee. I do appreciate the seasonal drink rotation! I brought a friend that is a trained barista for years and they agreed with me that it's really JUST a coffee shop. If you're in a rush and this is convenient for you I think it's fine, but I don't think it's anything extraordinary read more

First time coming here last week. Tried the Iced Vanilla Honey Latte. Didn't want it too sweet so barista made it 3/4 sweet. It was DELICIOUS. Also had a chocolate chip cookie, chocolate muffin, and blueberry muffin. All were good and devoured. Reasonably priced too- all of the above at $17 and some change. Inside is clean and so is the bathroom. Love the outside patio area too. Will come back! read more

Ryan Bros Coffee serves up a delicious blueberry muffin that is packed with blueberries and is sure to satisfy any blueberry muffin lover. They also offer a variety of other sweets and sandwiches. The Americano is smooth and rich, and the ambience is chill. The baristas are friendly and have great attitudes. I'll have to come back to try their sandwiches!:) read more

Honestly I really love this spot as it's so close to my house. It's a great location, and it has a cute patio to sit down and study or chat with a friend. HOWEVER, the coffee just has not tasted the same the last 3 times for me that I've gone. Sometimes I question whether there's espresso in my mocha, it's not very strong and not consistent in flavor when I've gone; sweetness and coffee flavor. One of my favorite spots near San Marcos! The staff is always lovely and the tunes are always perfect for the study or chat vibes. It's a smaller study space inside, but there's a bigger seating area outside that has comfy cushions / picnic tables. The outdoors spot is covered! Price wise not bad at all and their pastries are delightful. There is Wifi available and a one stall bathroom. The later hours are great for evening studying! The tables facing the window are great to watch the sun set between some buildings haha read more

Just walked in at 9 AM to grab a coffee and sandwich, and I was informed that they are not taking walk-in orders. They had a large Costco order, and have prioritize that over walk-ins. Absolutely ridiculous to not take walk-in customers at a coffee shop. read more

Ryan Brothers is a nice enough spot and the staff is friendly and solicitous. Unfortunately, on the rare occasions I've been here, I've been consistently disappointed. The problems seem to be two-fold. First, the quality of the coffee itself is mediocre. The taste suggests cracked, unevenly sized beans haphazardly roasted. Someone is phoning it in on this score. Second, the baristas' skills are not optimal. They somehow manage to get espresso drinks to taste like they were made with the percolated stuff my mom used to drink when I was a boy. If I'm recommending the nearby Starbucks over Ryan Brothers, that should tell you something. Really hoped for something more. read more

Every time I come in something with my order ends up wrong. We typically get two lattes and two sandwiches and don't opt for anything funky or complicated order wise so it's very frustrating. Can't even write it off due to it being busy as it's only been averagely full when we went in. The coffee and food is pretty good so it's sad they're so unreliable. We wouldn't go here any more if it wasn't the closest shop and if my partner didn't really love their bagels. read more

Coffee with style. Great pool place for breakfast and fancy cappuccino. The only issue is hopefully there is outdoor seating because the inside is like a meat locker. I don't know what the AC bill is but it must be high for how cold they keep the place. Service people are great and they offer a spacious atmosphere for casual cup of joe. read more

There's a few spots to sit at with a table as well. Also has a table outside to sit at and some public benches as well. Sandwich was delicious and tater tots were nice and crispy! Everything is made to order so it's about a 5-7 min wait esp for the tater tots. Overall a nice stop to get some fuel to keep us going through the day!

It took me a minute to find the place (even tho there are signs... that's on me), there is a nice parking lot nearby the cafe. I walked in and the staff was so pleasant and prompt. I ordered the special breakfast burrito and a Mexican mocha. They give you a number and you find your favorite seat. AND they got my service dog a pup cup. So he loves the place too They have indoor and outdoor seating. All comfortable. I came on a day when there was no music, but I am so looking forward to coming back when there is.

I'm not sure of their name but I believe they work in the kitchen/back, but they don't act like it. I understand how stressful a morning rush can be at a small cafe, but I wouldn't call it an excuse for having my meal come out half assed. I've come in during hectic hours on different occasions and not once has my food come out quite as poor. There was one instance when my avocado toast looked like the avocado had barely coughed on the toast. I can't imagine how hard it is on everyone else to have to work with this person as I've had a pleasant experience every other time. The gamble of going in with the chance this person is working is making it not worth it at this point.

Saying that, its such a cute place to meet up with a friend or two or even a casual date. :) I havent tried their coffee, but a lit of people were order them. Next time I'll have to try some.
