Worse service! Got a to go drink the day before and it wasn't made right. I was heading to an appointment long distant and didn't have time to go back as well as the other barista that took the order that day was rude (Jasmin), second encounter with her and same cold rudeness., even if I had time I wouldn't go back to her. The next morning I told Emma the barista and she was very misleading about redoing it, initially she said I can get a different drink but was charging me, when I asked why she said "you're getting a different drink, do want the same as yesterday's" I agreed and then she was charging me for that as well, I asked why, her reply "that was yesterday" I felt like I was in some bad comedy show! I won't be going back or recommending this location in Del Mar to anyone! read more

:( today was a sad day. Stopped off to get some breakfast before heading out to Fletcher Cove. Got a pistachio croissant, latte, chili crisp wrap and blueberry cold brew. Got to the cove and ate half of the wrap. Took a bite of the second half and found a long blonde hair. So disappointed and grossed out. Sorry but I have to give this a no go. I kinda wanna vomit thinking about it. Ughh and I hate giving bad reviews. read more

Barista Alanah was super welcoming and friendly, she noticed my tote of books and recommended I visit the bookstore across the street. It made for a perfect stop after my delicious hazelnut divinity great service with local knowledge ! read more

Cold brew tastes like straight water if you like that...this is perfect for you. Great staff friendly service and clean small space, loud pop music read more

Such nice staff!! The food and drinks are great as well. Best drink ever and pistachio croissant

A perfect pair: their Hazelnut Divinity latté and Pistacchio Croissant. Enjoyed the view from the bar seating indoors and moved to the courtyard when the sun came out. The time spent there was limited to two hours (for those who choose to work at a café) because of the parking time limit but the parking is free and so is the wi-fi. After reparking, walked to the beach which always is so peaceful. Great location. read more

Love my local Better Buzz location!! Service is always really fast and the baristas are always so welcoming and kind.

extremely slow. Ordered online and said it would be dint at 2:25 and was definitely not done. The one person in the back sucks she's moving extremely slow. read more

Fantastic new addition to Del Mar! Way better food options than Starbucks. I like their coffee better than Starbucks. I feel like Starbucks coffee tastes watered down. Lacks real flavor. BB is fantadtic and everyone here is so nice. Gets super busy but line goes fast. Unique choices available. read more

The lady working there was very kind and she spoke two languages so it was easier for my mother to communicate and understand her!! amazing service read more

The drinks were super tasty and the vibes were good other than that crusty white dog that pooped on the floor. The staff cleared the land mines with a great attitude. :) read more

I had not been in this corner of Del Mar for a while and decided to go to one of my favorite and coziest Starbucks to realize now is gone and instead the bright yellow color of Buzz is in place. The outside looks very spacious and inviting...until you get inside and realize is another 'laptop-camping' situation. Why? I ask myself this is now the trend in most coffee shops in SD area. Since the business owner reads and replies these reviews here is my feedback: the girl at the cash register was not welcoming at all. She was annoyed or overwhelmed but I didnt like the vibe. My cappuccino was burnt and was tempted to go and complaibt but it was noisy and full of laptop campers. The coffee actually tastes like dirty water. Ok, that might be just a bad day...but for me the problem is to go to a coffee shop and find people in conversations that belong inside corporations. My antenna is always on I like it or not. It is so refined I can hear all the convos and there were people literally running job meetings there. Also, the library is at the corner in the same street. Please do not convert this coffee shop into a mini branch of Del Mar library nor into a free coworking space. Unless that is what you want, then please advertise the coffee shop as such. It is very unpleasant going with someone on a coffee date and not being able to sit inside because entitled customers are enabled to occupy a table for 2 but just for one. I was tempted to sit at one of the 'working tables' (I mean all were) just to mess with the person drinking water and occupying space. If you want to listen and still want to be subservient to this nonsense trend...please set a half an hour limit for people to circulate and avoid the perennial campers. Or do like the French coffee shop next to you: buy and bye and next. No one set their tent there. read more

So happy they opened a better buzz in this location!! I got a caramel vanilla latte and it was perfect! Very friendly staff since they just opened. Some seating indoors but lots of seating outside as well. I love how I can do a bit of work/study here and then just walk down to the beach after. If you're coming here to study, there's only 1-2 outlets inside, and 1 outdoor outlet. read more

Service is always great here. Love stopping by to get a honey latte with lavender and vanilla foam. Thanks guys!

I came here to get some work done on a recent trip to the area and had a great morning on the patio outside. The service was so friendly and answered my questions about the menu. I ended up getting an iced vanilla latte and the chili crunch breakfast wrap (which was a little too spicy for my liking). The Wi-Fi worked great on the patio too! read more

Coffee is always good. parking a little challenging. Nice location next to beach. Mainly outside seating. Nice to work at if you don't need an outlet. Friendly service read more

I stopped in for the first time yesterday and this coffee shop is so pretty The staff were helpful and friendly. The interior has classic Del Mar architectural elements with modern furnishings. I had the iced vanilla latte with oat milk half sweet. The espresso is sweet but strong. I will definitely be stopping by here anytime I'm in Del Mar. read more

Carmel buzz is THE best highly recommend it! Also the barista, I think Devin was his name was so kind and super friendly!

Love this Better Buzz! Always get helped by the best people and hands down my favorite one!

This place is brew-tiful! The studying ambiance is so smooth, it's like sipping on a perfectly frothed cappuccino. Also Grace's barista skills are art in motion, and her friendly vibe could wake anyone up faster than a double shot of espresso. If you haven't bean here yet, you're mugging yourself of an amazing experience. Grounds for a five-star review? Absolutely! read more

Better Buzz Coffee - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Del Mar, California

Better Buzz in Del Mar is one of my favorite spots. It's right by the beach, which makes it ideal for a quick stop before or after a walk along the coast. The location couldn't be better. Great vibes, great views, and even better drinks. The service is always fast and friendly. The staff is welcoming and they really keep things moving, even during the busy hours. You can tell they care about both the quality and the customer experience. My go-to order is the matcha latte with coconut milk. It's seriously the best matcha around. I've tried so many matcha lattes all over San Diego and keep returning to Better Buzz because no place does it better. read more

Always go to better buzz for my morning coffee and chocolate croissant. Every time I go Mimi is always super friendly and helpful and it always brightens my day. read more

This location has been my go to for years to grab a coffee before heading to the beach. I was really waiting for the transition from Starbucks to Better Buzz. I was also looking for the remodeling which they did pretty well and lightened the room. My order is really simple: a regular cappuccino, no artificial flavors, no sweeteners, no ice, just coffee and whole milk. Unfortunately, it was not drinkable and I had to throw it away. There was no foam (the main part of the cappuccino), it was way too hot, tasted like a cheap americano coffee from a fast food mixed with milk, the thin black cup cover was really plasticky (yeah, not all plastics are created equal, the Starbucks or Birdrock coffee ones are higher quality) and gave it a bad taste... Really disappointed. I would like to give it a 2nd chance because it may have been a fluke from early days of opening but when the coffee cup is $5.50 and ends up in the trash, you think about it twice. For a coffee place, getting the classics (americano, espresso, cappuccino, latte) done right should is priority #1. But that is just my 2 cents. read more

I absolutely love this location! The staff is super nice and the vibes are immaculate :) I had a particularly great customer service experience with Mimi, who goes above and beyond. I'm so happy to see this place thrive! Thank you for the great service! read more

Love this location!! Mimi specifically was super sweet and was able to recommend a drink I fell in love with. Service was great!

The cafe is perfectly set in a small area with boutiques, and I love the indoor and outdoor options for seating. The staff were very friendly, each time I've come by. Special mention for Mimi, very accommodating and friendly. I love their caprese sandwich, granola with yogurt, and matcha. Always order those when I come by. read more

Such a cool spot! I came in recently and had a fantastic experience with a redheaded gal, and she gave me great recommendations! I was able to get a new cold brew from their holiday menu and tried their breakfast wrap as well. Both were great for a fast chain coffee shop! The views from the patio don't hurt either :D read more

Really nice location to relax and cool off. And the tea was terrific! Great vibe and quiet enough to take a meeting there.

Had THE BEST experience at the Del Mar location today! Ordered with Mimi and asked for recommendations to try something new- she was so lovely when taking my coffee preferences into account before suggesting the Horchata Iced Latte with an extra shot, which turned out to be an amazing choice! Shoutout Mimi for helping me start my day off on a fantastic note!!! read more

Got a great drink at this location. Awesome customer service and quickness to get me in and out.

First off my drink was amazing but what was even more amazing was Alanah and her customer service! I will be coming back for su

Was in the area for an extended weekend was looking for coffee shops that were more local and in the area decided to try better buzz because it was near the hotel area, reviews were decent but Im sorry but It just wasn't good coffee. Neither my wife or I liked our drinks. Couldn't even finish the Americano that I had , so disappointing. Ended up going over to Bird rock roasters down the road later on, and rest of trip much better choice. read more

I went there out of curiosity. I used to go there all the time when Starbucks was on this location. I tried the 3-seed avocado toast and the Mexican mocha. Food was tasty and the mocha was great! but prices are a bit too high for what I really want to pay for that kind of food. I was a bit disappointed about the loud music and the staff having to yell your name because of it. The place inside looks tiny and not very welcoming, I couldn't stand the loud music and left as soon as I got my food. I am not sure if I will go back, there are so many coffee places in Del Mar to choose with equal quality of food and less expensive too. read more

Loved the location of this place, we tried about 4 drinks and loved them all. My favorite was the chai and the energy buzz. I recommend grabbing your drinks and taking them to the beach. Quick service as well read more

The worst better buzz I have been too. My order was incorrect, all my matcha was sitting on the bottom of the drink. My loaf was not warmed, maybe because they forgot to add it to my order until I asked for it. Both my drinks tasted bland. Messed my day up and not what I expected. read more
