WOW. I mean I am just not sure where to start- but start we must. What an absolutely pleasant addition to my winter evening my foray into 'Better Buzz' was recently. I've had the pleasure of being a local to the area and often enjoy scoping out shops that look new, ambient, and overall a beautiful addition to our locale. Now I had been to a few Better Buzz locations before (near El Cajon)- but this one had next level service from staff! I was greeted with pleasant yellow and smiling faces, as I peered around searching for a menu. A bright and joyful looking young man (I believe his name was Ian?) greeted me in a way that I couldn't help but smile myself. Instantly my mood was uplifted- and I began to ask about a couple of the menu options, craving a nutty/honey-like drink, or perhaps a good look at their matcha. The young lad ensured me that their matcha latte was exactly the treat I needed to savor that evening, and even encouraged me to try it with an Oat Milk base. Now, I am lactose intolerant but I am a stickler for trying things as they are in the beginning...however his earnest smile and honest demeanor won me over- and I caved. Not too long later after observing him leave the register to craft my drink with...detail? love? I couldn't tell- but it warmed my heart. I was given one of the most lovely, creamy matcha lattes that I couldn't have possibly known I needed that winter evening. The food, service, and ambiance was all top tier- and right next to a great local community college. Small note that it is a bit pricy- but definitely worth your while when you can! I do hope that you can run into the charming young man Ian, his service definitely tied my appreciation for this chic little shop well. (And watching him make your drinks makes you happy in itself...his careful approach and gentle care as he makes every drink the best as he can) That being said- I will be back here! They might forget those little cardboard drink holders as there seems to often be a rush, but the rest of the ambiance and service is great, and I'm willing to overlook that. I was so happy to find out Better Buzz was coming to Costa Mesa! I would always get it when I went out to the Temecula area. Alex made my coffee in a timely matter and he was great! He was very friendly and provided all around great customer service. I went in this morning and oh my goodness... the service and help from Jesus and Nayeli was amazing! Jesus was so sweet and very helpful. He recommended the Hazelnut divinity with cinnamon cold foam and a banana chocolate chip loaf... just amazing. He was right! The loaf slice was so delicious with my coffee ... it made my day! Nayeli was so beautiful and very kind, she was quick to make my drink and even said she made it with love... how sweet! I don't know where I would find such amazing customer service like this. Starbucks doesn't even compare to the quality of Better Buzz! I always get an iced mint infused with cinnamon foam on top and a better breakfast with tomatoes and avocado. You can tell the food is fresh and contains pretty healthy ingredients. The store itself is pretty clean but can get crowded since it's small. Shout out to Monzerratt who always recommends when I should try new things. It's great to see her working at other locations too. I drive around OC for work so I tend to stop by different locations. That girl always has a smile on her face, nice to see great customer service still exists. This store is by far my favorite for being the fastest at getting orders out too. read more

I'm so happy this spot replaced the old Starbucks! The vibe is way more cozy and alive. I've been a few times, and the Lavender Tea Buzz is definitely a fave--10/10 recommend. Was going to Vons and came across this new coffee place that just opened (it was previously a Starbucks). The place looks beautiful, chic and definitely a trendy Instagram place that attracts young crowds. However, apart of the decor, the coffee was a HUGE disappointment. We got the Americano and their "Best Drink Ever". I can say unequivocally it is the WORST coffee drink I've had. The iced coffee at Panera Bread and boba shop tastes 2X better and half the price. We dumped 85% of our drinks down the sink. Please do better! You cannot rely on just pretty aesthetics to come back. read more
