Recently been remodeled; super clean and nice for a breakfast joint, attached to Slotworld Casino. I had the Eggs Benedict (w hash browns) and Oatmeal. I tried to substitute my hash browns for something else but the only option was cottage cheese so that was disappointing that their were no other options. The food came out very fast and the service was quick. The Eggs Benedict we're also phenomenal, very impressive. The only other downside I had was that my server forgot to give me my check but that's no big deal because I simply asked someone else to help get it for me, and my server came over and apologized because she lost it. Overall, a good experience. You can't let one little slip up ruin an entire visit especially when the entire staff is as sweet as can be. read more

Our waitress is fantastic. She knows what we drink. Very prompt on greeting me and my wife. Megan always follows through with explaining the choices we make. Her personality is far to none the best. The food is good BUT coated in butter and gives me a tummy upset everytime I eat there. But my biggest complaint is the coffee....you can SEE THROUGH the pot when they are refilling your cup. Kinda embarrassing if you get my drift because it was early in the morning and all the old men kept looking at him funny! I ordered the French toast and they were out of egg bread? This place is down the street from me and tucked in the Slot World casino. The interior is warm and inviting and has a bunch of hand painted murals and art that is interesting to look at as you are waiting for your table or dining. The menu for breakfast is small, but covers the basics. My preschooler got the pancaked plate, with the only other choice for breakfast for her being eggs, bacon, toast and hash browns. I got the chicken fried steak breakfast meal, which came with a biscuit, lots of gravy on the side, and two eggs. Her Dad got a ham and bacon omelette which had hash browns. The food was really great. My eggs were cooked to perfection and I had enough gravy to split the homemade biscuit and put a generous amount of gravy on the top. The chicken steak was fried nicely, and large enough to fill me up. Her Dad's omelet was large and tasty as he finished that up too. Her Dad mentioned on previous visits that service had been lacking, but we didn't have any issues for this visit. My daughter was handed a kid's menu with a picture on the back to color, but was not given crayons. A few more choices for kid's breakfast would have been nice. Prices were extremely reasonable and I would be happy to return. read more

Walk through the smokey smokey casino to this little cafe located in the corner of Slotword on Hwy 50. The food is basic fare, breakfast , lunch and dinner. There are specials located on a flat screen television over a small soup and salad bar. I've gone there a few times, and breakfast is by far the best choice. The coffee is great! The place has gone from fresh made items to food that is from the same distributor for all the other small places. Tastes exactly the same. read more

Never going back here at dinner time. Our waitress, who we requested by the way, was too busy serving her own family, who all showed up after we were seated. We had to wait a half hour for our food while it sat up in the window getting cold. My husband's prime rib was cold as well as my top sirloin. I allowed them to redo mine and my husband passed. This time my steak came to me right as it was put up. Once again it was cold. Not once did the manager or the waitress come to ask if everything was ok. In the meantime this waitresses husband kept making crass, nasty remarks to their kids about us while I ate. Needless to say no tip for her and no more business from us at night. Do yourself a favor and go for breakfast or lunch. The night managers don't know how to run a restaurant or kitchen properly. There is only one decent manager there but unfortunately she can't work 7 days a week while the restaurant is open. read more

After the recent Slot World renovation we thought we'd go back to Betsy's and see if was as good as it was before the renovation. Unfortunately, it is worse. I wanted to substitute cottage cheese or fruit for the hash brown potatoes but they no longer offer that option. I ordered my omelette without the hash browns anyway but it was served with the unwanted hash browns. I wanted an English muffin with my omelette but that was no longer an option either. So I asked for toast. It was dry and stale so I was going to put some jelly on it but there was none on the table. I had to ask twice to have it delivered to the table. We had to break up a gab fest between two workers to get their attention so we could ask for a drink refill. The place still smells of smoke, which drifts in from the casino floor. Overall, the place, which used to have good food and good service, has gone downhill. A disappointing dining experience. read more

I was in on Wednesday night the 27th around 330 pm and I love to go come here and I was with my friend and we were setting their and their were 2 ladies standing by the counter and one was a manager it was very on professional at least I thought so she and another server were talking to a server asking her why she would say something to someone about what they talk about this server was so embarrased and was starting to cry I felt from a customer's point of view that this was a manager and another server attacking her I believe she just got their this is not the first time I've been in and the manager and I did get her name it was natasha she was complaining about another server or a cook or how someone does something in front of customers it's unprofessional. I want to come in and eat the other sad part about this the girl they were talking about i dont think was even their. I felt your server was being attacked by a manager. Slotworld's cafe has been really nicely renovated. And breakfast all day? My favorite! Ordered blueberry buttermilk pancakes, which were among the best I've tasted. For a steal of a deal at $5.50, I wasn't expecting them to be absolutely loaded with fresh berries and arrive in a size that filled my dinner plate! Picked up a pound of the Peruvian coffee while I was there, and as the other reviewer commented, I was quite happily surprised by how smooth and easily drinkable this coffee is. Coffeehouses and restaurants in the area should seriously consider buying from the local roaster at Slotworld...and everyday Carsonites should too! Great way to start the morning. If coffee is important to you, then stop by and buy a lb. or two from the cafe. They roast their beans every week, and you can't compare it to anyone else. These beans don't sit in a warehouse, someplace, for six months. The friendly staff will grind it to your liking, and it is reasonably priced! read more
