Bacon, egg, and cheese on a everything bagel really hit the spot for lunch. Service was quick and I didn't preorder. Everything was perfectly proportional and had a taste of everything in every bite. With tax it was still under $9 which in dc is a good deal.

This bagel sandwich gave me life. It actually revived me, and gave me life for the day. I love the sweet spicy peppers that are added to the sandwich. The cheese was perfectly melted, and the eggs were so soft and delicious. The first bite was absolutely magnificent. Thinking about it now actually makes me want to order the sandwich again! I cannot comment on the ambience our service since this was a delivery order, but will update my review if I do visit IRL. From my reading of reviews, though, this seems like a spot where you would grab and go.

Egg and Cheese and Tomato on Whole Wheat Everything

Such a good bagel, I am looking for the best in DC. This is one I will get again, I got an egg and cheese and tomato on their whole wheat everything, borderline best bagel ever. Really delicious. I even got called sir by staff so bonus points there as well. I will be back for more. Tilda thank you for showing me this spot shout out.

Turkey BLT on everything

I ordered two sandwiches for delivery, a turkey BLT and steak, and they were both delicious. The bagels are soft and fresh and the sandwich's are stuffed. They travel well and were ready fast.

Tofu veggie cream cheese

First time visiting this bagel shop and I ordered an onion bagel with tofu veggie cream cheese (I'm vegan). What intrigued my interest in buying a bagel here were their two vegan cream cheese options. The bagel was amazing! I really appreciate the big size and softness of the bagel, which I got toasted, and the generous amount of cream cheese that comes with it. Customer service is great! When I arrived there was a long line but it shortened quickly which I appreciated. I also like how they had which bagels are not vegan so that I can make the right decision when choosing which one I can and cannot eat. I look forward to returning for another bagel.

Restaurant interior

Decent spot for a walk-in shop style bagel and a schmear with a coffee. Small interior, but the service was quick and efficient. So many people in line (obviously a popular spot)! You can also get a breakfast sandwich on your choice of a bagel, croissant or bread. So many bagel options, topping options, etc. it was honestly a bit overwhelming while ordering, but we got it all sorted out. I will say that a typical bagel and schmear had an overly abundant amount of cream cheese so just be aware.

I have really liked going to Bethesda Bagels in the past, but unfortunately the wait times here have grown to be too long to continue going here during peak hours. In an attempt to save time, I have done my last two orders via Local by Toast and the orders were not ready when anticipated. And on the second order I wound up giving 45 minutes for the order to be made and still had to wait around for the order to be completed. Also, during prime hours, you may not want to wait in the store as there are way too many people waiting for orders they just placed and those waiting on delivery pick up. Not too mention the people along squeezing in to eat on the little strip counter by the entrance window. It is unfortunate they weren't able to expand into the empty store location next door to expand room for those waiting, allow for more to eat in the store, and expand operations for efficiency.

So good! A friend picked these up for takeout for our hike, and I still cannot get over how full these sandwiches were!

Bacon egg & cheese on everything bagel

Well-seasoned, chewy everything bagel, lots of crispy bacon, perfectly cooked over-medium egg, and melty cheddar cheese. Add some hot sauce and you have yourself a great breakfast bagel. Would order again! (Uber Eats BOGO deal)

You can tell they're making the bagels and piazza in the same oven and not in a good way.

There was a blue rubber band inside the cream cheese of my bagel this morning - ruined my appetite.

Its warm, clean design makes it quite welcoming for enjoying avocado toast with smoked salmon, which brings one to a place of spiritual oneness. With white walls, natural wood-grain tables and countertops, Toastique's design radiates minimalist, urban style while remaining inviting. Any time I have been there, the wait times have been stress-free, and the queues move quickly. Food-wise, you can't go wrong with their avocado toast with smoked salmon. With a generous portion of smoked salmon on top of avocado mash, on perfectly toasted sourdough bread, creating a place of tremendous well-being. The cucumbers, marinated tomatoes, red onion, capers, and a sprinkle of microgreens make for a fully satisfying meal without feeling like you are overdoing it with your life choices. Drink-wise, I always go for cold brew and the cold brew never lets me down there. Last time, they had a peanut-butter cold brew and a black cherry one, both of which were magical. This Toastique delivers every time.

We hoped to find a place that offered decaf coffee since it was late in the day, but really wanted something warm since it was a bit chilly outside. Unfortunately, this location of Toastique does not offer decaf - they only have a single hopper for their coffee, so it is not an offering. We were going to find another place, however, they said how about a hot chocolate or a tea. My friend is vegan and inquired if their hot cocoa was vegan, as most places have dairy in the chocolate. The cashier went to look at the chocolate syrup and also had another person look at it to verify it's vegan. My friend ordered a hot chocolate with oat milk. Even though it was busy, we only waited about 5 minutes for her drink. We appreciated the effort to double check it was vegan, though I do wish they had decaf options.

We split the DL's Egg Drop (the bulgogi breakfast sandwich) and the Hatch Green Chili sandwich. Both were well executed. The bulgogi brought some real depth to what could have easily been a gimmick, and the hatch green chili edged it out for me personally. The heat was there without being obnoxious, and everything held together the way a good sandwich should. Friends went with the shrimp and grits and had nothing but good things to say. The team behind this place (Scott Drewno and Danny Lee, also of Anju and ChiKo) knows what they're doing, and it shows. The sourcing is thoughtful, the execution is consistent, and the menu has enough going on to warrant repeat visits without feeling like it's trying too hard. Would come back, and would tell others to do the same.

I Egg You is a great little breakfast spot tucked into the Barracks Row neighborhood of Washington,…read moreD.C. I've always enjoyed visiting this area. It's full of interesting shops, great restaurants, and, surprisingly for D.C., relatively easy parking. The food was good. We ordered the bacon and sausage breakfast sandwiches, and both were enjoyable. The sausage sandwich was unnecessarily messy thanks to the crumbled pork, but the flavors were good. Nothing extraordinary, just a satisfying breakfast. I also ordered a Bloody Mary, which I'd rate a 7 out of 10. It had a nice amount of spice and a respectable flavor, but something was missing that would have made it memorable. I'd order it again, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. The restaurant itself is straightforward and understated. The interior is clean, simple, and without unnecessary frills. It's a comfortable space that lets the food do most of the talking. Unfortunately, the service was the weakest part of the experience. I arrived around 9 a.m. on a Saturday. The restaurant was busy but far from packed, with plenty of available seating. I took a seat at the bar, where the bartender promptly greeted me and handed me a menu. I immediately told him what I wanted to eat and ordered a Bloody Mary. Then I waited. And waited. Nearly ten minutes passed before I saw my drink, despite watching the bartender prepare and serve drinks to customers who had arrived after me. There was no explanation or acknowledgment of the delay. It wasn't a catastrophic service failure, but it was frustrating, particularly given how quickly the interaction started and how manageable the crowd appeared to be. That's ultimately what holds I Egg You back. The food is worth trying, the neighborhood is enjoyable, and the restaurant has a pleasant simplicity about it. But the service, at least during my visit, was noticeably slow and lacked the attentiveness that makes dining out enjoyable. Would I eat here again? Absolutely. Would I choose to dine in again? That's a harder sell. I Egg You makes a good breakfast sandwich. I'm just not convinced the dining experience adds much to it. Next time, I might take the food to go.

We have been here a couple of times when my husband is on a Clinical Congress in D.C. Yesterday's dinner was a disappointment. The Rib eye steak was not the quality we expected. It was too fatty not marbled. Service: Our waiter was great. He was attentive and polite. Our concern was the receptionist or the management. When we dine at Ebbit Grill, we were there for the ambiance. Yesterday, we walked in to dine without a reservation and waited 1 hour and 15 minutes to be seated. To our surprise we were taken to the courtyard seating outside!! There were vacant tables available for 2 in the main dining as we walked by. We asked if we can be seated in the main dining but they refused because we didn't have a reservation and were told we had to wait another 30 minutes!!! Eating outside in the courtyard wasn't what we expected. We were there for the experience and expressed this to them but to no avail. If they had told us upfront that we had to wait 2 hours to be seated in the main dining room, then we would had left and chose another restaurant. Perhaps, next time you're busy, consider mentioning that customers may be seated outside. We were extremely disappointed at how they handled this and left a bad taste in our mouths (no pun intended)for the restaurant. Seating outside lost its appeal and charm. Ambiance: loud!!
