Taylor Ham, Egg & Cheese
Clara A.

Good bagels for the DMV. The "Nova Salmon with the Works" was spectacular. The "Taylor Ham Egg and Cheese" was pretty good. The bagel was slightly too toasted for my preference on the Egg and Cheese. A bit pricy, but tasty breakfast. Overall 3.75/5

H&H offers a decent a bagel in a city severely lacking in good NY-style bagels. I was able to order online, though there was no line for my early morning pickup, so I also placed an in-store order. I love that I can get a pumpernickel bagel. The lox was very good, so I appreciated that. I didn't notice any sable, though. I also enjoyed their nitro cold brew. I think the bagel itself is a little lacking in flavor. Staff was extremely friendly and they have a decent about of seating. I'd return if in the area.

Avocado, Egg & Cheese Sesame, Scrambled

ordered the Avocado, Egg & Cheese off their menu with a Sesame bagel and, Scrambled eggs --- the bagel itself was nice and fluffy but what missed the mark for me were the toppings: unseasoned avocado slipped off of my sandwich, the ratio of egg and cheese to avocado, and the melty cheese didn't sit well with me overall, happy I tried this on a Sunday morning but it was an underwhelming bagel experience

Spicy Sausage Egg & Cheese

Ok so I've never been to the original so I don't know how it compares but overall I was pretty happy! Had the spicy sausage egg and cheese on Asiago and I thought it was great. The Jalepeno cream cheese really was the star in making this great. It also is incredibly messy so it definitely is not an order and way why you walk bagel but luckily they have some seating. And it was about 10 dollars which is pretty cheap for DC. The service was super friendly. I came on a Saturday around 1 or 2 and didn't have to wait long for my food. Def check this place out.

I ordered H&H to go via delivery, so I do not have a review of the in-store experience. I'll re-review when I do. I decided to get the everything wheat bagel with the spicy scallion cream cheese, with cucumber and tomato. The star of the show was the spicy scallion cream cheese - yes, it's actually spicy! Good kick, the tomato and cucumber balanced the spice well. The bagel itself was a good combination of firmness and soft. A relatively good size as well. The iced coffee was also fantastic. I just added a little sweetener. Overall, a very tasty breakfast. I look forward to trying more of the menu in the future. Welcome to D.C., H&H!

So good! Generous with the portion and great quality. Reminded me of living in NYC! Ordered via DoorDash and it was quick and easy (though they charge about three dollars more when you order this same item for delivery probably to offset DoorDash cut, so go in person if you can!)

Not Worth It. Waited 45+ minutes for two bagels on a Friday morning...way too long. When I finally got mine, it was wrong. Ordered Taylor ham, got plain deli ham. Bagel itself was mid at best. Super underwhelming. Won't be back

Waiting about 25 minutes for two bagels sandwiches on a Sunday around 12 pm. Service was slow and staff seemed disorganized, which is expected with a recently opened business...but on top of that the food was underwhelming. I'd definitely recommend skipping it for other local bagel places, like Pearl's.

Ordering experience was really easy, family enjoyed the food. Would love a gluten free option even if it's pre packaged.

I got the turkey bacon with avocado sandwich. It is absolutely delicious! fresh, chewy, and full of flavor. The staff is very friendly and the ambience is amazing. If you're in the DC area, don't forget to stop by H&H Bagels. A must-try!

The best bagel I've ever had! The jelly brought the flavors all together and the bagel itself was soft and toasty!

Slowest service ever. Was the only one in line and wasn't acknowledged for 8 mins. The bagels are ok and taste chewy/old

Here's the latest and greatest vendor list from 2023: Timber Pizza - Scrumptious wood-fired pizza with a pillowy soft crust. I can't count on how many fingers and toes I've had the pizza at different farmer's markets! While the lines can get long 12:30pm, you only have to wait for 15 minutes. Taco Dirty To Me: Crispy battered cauliflower tempura tacos, bursting with flavor! Bun'd' Up - Delicious fried tofu and mushroom in squishy soft bao buns topped with microgreens, scallions, and a nice creamy aioli sauce. Light and tasty! Urban+ade - Refreshing lemonade with less sugar than classic lemonade. The Sage & Tarragon is my favorite! Veg Heaven - Decadent sweet treats, the dark chocolate cookies and brownies are the best! While the cakes are moist, they aren't as tasty. Taco Loco - Giant burritos are amazing! There's a swarm of people waiting in line, so be prepared to wait 10-15 min before ordering and then another 5 min for your order! The mango and watermelon juice are refreshing. Hipp Sippin' - Cold-pressed juices and acai bowls made to order. Ravenhook Bakery - Great selection of freshly baked loaves of bread and baked goods. DMV Empanadas - They sell out fast! While the empanadas has a nice crispy hard shell and with so many flavors to choose from, they are a bit bland and overloaded with bland cheese. The Spinach and Cheese or the Bacon and Cheese didn't quite hit the spot, hubby like the Chicken. Al Volo Cucina: While I wasn't a big fan of the greasy eggplant parm subs. I wish they brought back the fresh juices (the watermelon and mango juices) were amazing! Wonderful market with plenty of delicious and diverse options to choose from. There is metered street parking and commercial lots/garages within a reasonable walking distance from here. They serve wraps, salads, and cold and hot sandwiches. I ordered the Korean Steak Sandwich. It took them about 10 to 15 minutes to prepare my sandwich. They should use a number system for order pickups because people, including myself, had difficulty determining which order they were serving. Many of the sandwich names sounded alike. My sandwich was kind of small for the price, and it wasn't very filling. It was, however, very good. It was flavorful and packed with flavor. The service was ok. It was nothing special. They did their job and did not go beyond or be overly friendly. All in all, I would recommend checking this deli out for some really good sandwiches. Personally, don't think the hype meets the expectations. But with that said, it's still a good wrap and I'd get it again but I don't think it's the best wrap I've had or worth going out of your way for. If you're hungry and near by, sure go get it but don't make any special trips just for this wrap. Id love to try their other options on the menu at some point!

Great local bar with large rotating craft beer selection. Highly recommend for any beer…read moreenthusiast. They have wine and cocktails as well. They are happy to recommend beer for your taste, and let you sample. It can be very busy and difficult to get a seat at the bar or get a table on a Friday or Saturday evening. We ordered food, and were expecting elevated bar food. The tater tots were a huge disappointment- they were very large squares , bland, and not crispy. The wings were okay. The cheeseburgers were the best- from the restaurant downstairs- mallard. Huge burger, done perfectly medium.

I visited as part of the full experience -- dinner downstairs at Birch & Barley, then up to Churchkey for drinks -- and honestly, it's one of the best evenings I've had in DC. Churchkey itself is everything a great bar should be. The beer selection is absolutely unreal -- hundreds of carefully curated labels spanning every style, region, and flavor profile you can imagine. What sets it apart is that the staff actually knows the menu. Our server walked us through a few options based on what we liked and landed us on perfect picks both times. That kind of genuine expertise is rare. The tavern pizzas from the wood-fired oven were a wonderful surprise -- thin, crispy, and the perfect companion to a cold draft. The smash burger also deserves a mention: simple, well-executed, and hits the spot. The vibe is warm and lively without being overwhelming. Great for a date, a group, or even just sitting at the bar solo with a good beer and good conversation with the bartender. This place has earned its reputation as one of the best beer bars on the East Coast -- and then some. Highly recommend making a full night of it with both floors. You won't regret it.
