*UPDATED*
I have been here multiple times, the first few times I really enjoyed it. However the last few times have gotten worse and worse. I had a gel polish change about 1 month ago and it was horrible!! The guy was very nice and friendly as usual. He was quick and did a good job, I thought. I handed him my card like always, I was with a friend who was ready to go, and when he returned I quickly signed- then I asked "wait, why was this $35... it is always $25!" He states that I was charged $10 for a manicure.. ok that's fine but I didn't get a manicure!! I told him that and he said yes I trimmed a couple of your cuticles. Um, ok well again... I didn't get a manicure. 1st I didn't ask for one 2nd I personally do not like them (and would have asked him to stop had he started giving me one) 3rd when you get a manicure most places soak your hands, cut ALL your cuticles and give extra TLC to your nail beds, they put oils etc on them, sometimes hot towels and they end with a nice lotion massage for your hands and arms at the end. Well guess what. I didn't get any of that fancy stuff. He did cut a couple hangnails but didn't touch a majority of my nails, so I didn't think twice. Then after my nails were done, I asked can I get alittle lotion on my hands they are super dry.. I put my hand out, thinking I'll just rub it in.. he then rubbed it in for me, I thought, well that is nice of him I'll give him a little extra tip for that (but this still was not the 5-10 minute glamours manicure hand/arm rub!) SO! Again, after I mention this to him he says he can't do anything and I'm still being charged for everything. Wow, ok it's $10 I'm not going to sit here and argue but I'm not happy!
As we are leaving my friend mentions her pedicure wasn't the best, the person cut her foot! So we are both alittle frustrated with our visit! Neither had the relaxing salon visiting like we hoped for. {SIDE NOTE: I like short square nails, I left with average length and some rounded! And normally it wouldn't have been a huge issue but with everything else, it just added to the frustration!}
TWO days go by and 4-5 of my nails are chipped! I have been using gel for about 10 years and never have issues.. I do not do any intense work that would cause it to chip, nor am I hard on polish. I had a wedding the next day and knew I can't go like that, so I go back in and explain my situation. They were very nice and redid the polish without question, they did not charge me, but I still
Tipped them for their time.
Fast forward to today. My nails are long overdue and I have a holiday party tonight so I go in on my lunch break to give them another chance because normally I enjoy this place. The last time I came (for the redo) they were very nice and the polish lasted and looked great. I figured they must have just had an off day 4 weeks ago. WORNG!! I walk in, they are not very busy and I sit with the same lady who redid my nails a few weeks ago. She is very nice and starts working on my nails.. (she is not a manager just an employee.) I tell her specifically so there isn't any miscommunication that all I want is a polish change no manicure. She says "ok, that's $25..." then starts asking me about my previous 3 Star Yelp Review (which clearly explained my issue last time) keep in mind this review has been posted for 4 weeks and no one has reached out to me...they didn't comment on the post or say anything when I went in last. No manager came over or tried to talk to me about this post. She took it upon herself to start grilling me about my personal opinion/experience while she is working on my hands! She was not gentle with my nails and was obviously upset. She mentioned her manager was not happy that a customer was upset and spoke with the guy who did my nails. (He still worked there because I saw him, so it's not like he was fired over this!) she then got really short with me, if I asked a question I got a one word answer. She then started talking to another guy there about me who was on his iPad, I couldn't understand them but could clearly hear "yelp" and "google". I'm not stupid. No one would look me in the eyes. I wanted to just walkout, and if I wasn't on my lunch break and in desperate need of getting my nails done before my party tonight I would have. I couldn't believe how rude she was!
I would have gladly spoken to someone about my review had they asked, I also went in today to give them another chance because I understand people have off days. I hate giving anything other than 5 stars unless they deserve it. So I was giving them another chance.. but instead was treated like scum! I am livid! I will never go back there, and will happily steer ALL my friends away from them. I love helping local businesses but after this treatment I am disgusted.
I try not to be a negative person so, On a positive side: They do have a wide variety of polishes, services and a clean environment which is always important. read more
