I went in with broken weak nails and May recommend a dip for strength then gel over the top. I love the results. May does an exceptional job while being very gentle and kind. May saved the day for me! I stopped at 2 other salons...with no luck. I myself, am a nail tech visiting destin and I broke my nail to the quick- no blood. But I know it needed immediate repair bc it's still attached and the wiggling is excruciating pain. May was so kind and caring, we agreed the proper way to repair this without soaking. You ever look down at your nails and it puts you in a bad mood? Well that happened to me today. My nails needed serious help and so with the need of a removal and full set I went searching on Yelp... Serenity had the highest number or stars and the most reviews of any nail salon in this area. I have been working down in the Pan Handle (Alabama & Florida) since October 11th and this is the first time I have been happy with my nails! I was greeted as soon as I walked in, was seen immediately and was offered a beverage upon sitting down in Andy's chair. Andy was extremely gentle with my nails and nail bed and it is obvious he has pride in his craft. I showed him a picture on Pinterest of a style design that I like and wanted my bails to be based off of. Andy was able to duplicate the style while also imprinting his own style and design into my nails. I am extremely please with his work! I love the design, the length and the shape all were exactly as I asked. The salon is clean and well lit. The tools used on my hands appeared well sanitized and current. Almost every customer that entered while I was there was greeted you name by Andy or the lady who was working next to him. Serenity has a friendly and happy atmosphere. I will definitely be back in two weeks. I'm looking forward to the next design based on a New Years theme. read more

Not a please customer. I came here while on a brief mommy getaway and decided to get dip nails and pedicure. I chose this place because it had 5 star reviews. I call and they told me to come now. I looked on website to see pricing and pedicure options to decide what I wanted before arriving. I already had dip on my nails. They begin my pedicure and soaking my nails. The nail technician does not fully remove all of my previous dip before trying to begin new nails. I had to stop her to tell her to fully remove the previous nail stuff. The pedicure lady grabs this packet and begins to open and add this cube to the water. I don't think much of it at first. As the nail tech is doing my nails, they color is significantly darker that what I chose. She says it's ok, it will be lighter once they add polish. The dips 3 times and my nails were ridiculously thick and clunky. I told her they needed to be thinner. With no issue she files them some. I told her again they needed to be thinner. She files more and stops. To help, I told her AGAIN they need to be thinner and I like natural looking nails. We go on and on where I have to tell her at least 6-7 times to thin them out - yes they were that thick. She got there eventually but it was frustrating. I was so focused on getting my nails right and I look down to notice the pedicure women is finishing up. I asked where was the paraffin wax and hot stone? She said the deluxe pedicure does not come with that. I share I told them I wanted to Lemon Deluxe pedicure which on the website says it comes with paraffin and hot stone. I then pulled up the website and showed them. They responded Oh we don't do those any more and they have new program. I told them I've never been here and I was expecting the service their website advertised. I was beyond frustrated with how much effort it took to get my nails to a decent and presentable place only to then be disappointed by the pedicure because of apparently and out dated website. I would not go here ever again. To end, my nails and toes ended up fine but I could not relax, enjoy service and get a solid outcome had I not been all over them about what I expected my hands and feet to look like. read more

I was in dire need of a pedicure and decided to stop by. I received a gel pedicure with white polish and it was below average. I will not disclose the nail tech because she was nice and did attempt to do a good job. However, I should not have to check my toes for polish on my cuticle every time she paints a new coat. That's expected from a skilled nail technician to check and clean the toes after a new coat is applied. The white polish is clumpy and I still ended up having white polish on my cuticle after all. Honestly, I was really impressed. I just wanted to change things up and get my nails done in Destin and Serenity had the best reviews. I was a little skeptical at first because a my friend told me $50 is a lot of a full set w/gel polish, but I was treating myself so it was okay. I don't get my nails done often because I am so picky but I decided to try something new. They shaped my almond nails perfectly and Vincent's attention to detail was much appreciated. Usually salons I've been to don't like when you want them to go back and fix things, but I didn't even see anything wrong and Vincent was not having it. Some of the polish on one finger slid to one side and he went back to fix it no questions asked. Everyone is as so nice and Vincent and I had a good convo.
