What a fantastic experience, remarkably efficient, cheerful team, Best Moving is worthy of praise. The crew of five arrived with my container at 8am, unrolled and placed area rugs, unwrapped my furniture and placed everything, dining table and chairs, beds assembled, garden furniture on lanai, everything finished by 1pm! Very disappointed. I have moved several times And never had any problems. They promise the world to sign up. It was an expensive move but the service was very substandard. I had several valuable pieces damaged beyond repair . One example an antique 17 th century table Completely destroyed. They promised a/c storage in Florida but I had a huge mirror totally rusted! I moved from Naples, FL to Greenville, SC on 8/20/18. After doing a lot of research online, I chose Best Moving & Storage in Naples - Apparently they are agents for Allied Moving. The primary things I learned are; try not to move at peak moving season (like I did) which is before the kids start school, make sure you have a local agent come and inventory all your stuff, get a "not to exceed" guaranteed estimate. That way, you know you are not being low-balled. Overall, VERY satisfied with my move. Danielle, Tammy, and Nick were all great. Communication was excellent and they did what they said they would do, when they said they would do it, and at the price they quoted me. If you go with this company, you'll be pleased. Best Moving acting as an Allied moving representative in south Florida, was the absolute Worst moving experience I have ever had.. From beginning to end, it was a huge mess. Their drivers began complaining from the moment they showed up, till the moment the move ended in another state. The Driver was not capable of controlling the truck he was driving, it took him 6 tries to come down my street, The driver claimed the street was too narrow, Keep in mind, I live in a manufactured home community. They bring new homes that are much larger in with no problem, turn them 180' and place them in their spot. come to find out, the driver and his assistant were drinking shots of Vodka from a bottle tucked under the seat in the cab When the Driver left with my goods, he drove up the wrong side of a divided highway, through the center of the park. It took over 6 hours to load a 2bd. 2ba.mobile home. Fast forward to the drop off, 3 states away. Driver shows up a day early, at 2 in the afternoon, unannounced. They begin to unload. Both the driver and his Assistant wreaked of Alcohol, not very long into the unloading process, the assistantmissed the ramp, and walked off the end of the truck, falling to the ground braking his foot and shattering our beveled glass top coffee table. 3 Witnesses saw this and offered to take him to emergency. HE DECLINED. as he was limping in pain the driver, thinking he was out off everyone's ear shot, told him to go and get another shot of vodka from the truck to ease the pain. again, we actually heard this and saw him do it, this is not an assumption .we asked the driver if he was going to report it to the company, and he said no. We also wanted to know if he was going to get new help, again no. He then asked a teenage kid walking by to help, and offered him cash, which he accepted Again, all of this being witnessed by multiple people.WE HIRED PROFFESSIONAL MOVERS, NOT TEENAGERS. to make matters worse, we have pictures of the damage to 3/4 of our antiques and regular furniture. tHE DAMAGE TO OUR WOOD FLOORS alone, will cost more than the entire move. We were told by Best Movers, that they are not responsible, because they are just a representative of ALLIED moving. (they sure were eager to take the money and responsibility for Allied). Even after all this, we have never to this day heard even one word of Apology from either Best movers or Allied Van Lines.. We are out way more than the 5600.00 Move. Just completed a move across the state - Driver/Loaders Lee and Ishmael could not have been more pleasant and professional - we were under strict time constraints due to limited hours at arrival location - they arrived exactly on time, loaded whole apartment very quickly and carefully, and wrapped furniture as necessary - They even arrived earlier than anticipated at destination helping the time constraints immensely - Unloading always takes longer than loading but they got it accomplished on time even with the restrictions imposed by the arrival location Now for the BEST part: their original estimate was based on more furniture than was actually moved, so they REDUCED the total amount due ! - I have never heard of this honesty in the whole moving industry - One only hears the horror stories of goods being held hostage on the truck for increased payments - This was the "BEST" possible experience from start to finish Special kudos to the team of Lee and Ishmael it doesn't get any better read more

Beware! Beware of this company and the reviews you read. This is a reckless and unethical company. We booked our out of state move and car transport with Best Moving. What you are not told by this company is that they don't do all the jobs themselves- they broker out their jobs by putting them into a "pool" that are then picked up by other moving companies. So, everything you have agreed to, signed for and paid is now at the mercy of the new company that picked up your job. They do not have to honor anything. The employees at Best Moving will never tell you this - they will flat out lie if you ask them how it works. We found all of this out shortly after the truck left our home. We had paid $700 additional for expedited delivery- our property was to be picked up and driven direct to the new location in 3 days. We were given every possible story as to why our property was not being delivered in the 3 days that we contracted and paid for. We were told a military move slowed it down, then it was a truck issue, then it was they can't get reach the driver- then Best moving stopped responding completely. The truth, there was never a 3- day delivery and Best Moving was not the mover of the job. The company in Tampa that picked up the job had 4 other jobs they still had to pick up that were going to be on the same truck. Our property was on a truck for 8 days. We were the last job to be unloaded. By the time it arrived, there was a significant amount of damage to our expensive furniture. Additionally, we incurred 8 days of hotel and food costs totaling over $2,000. Not one person from Best moving would even call us back. We had to threaten to dispute the charges on our credit card before they would refund the $700 expedited delivery charge. This is a scam company. The sales rep and the sales manager are complete liars and the owner is either absentee or supports his staff's reckless behavior. The owner never even contacted us to correct the problem despite numerous calls. When we contacted Allied Corporate- we were told that it's a franchisee problem and there is nothing they can do. We have reported this to the BBB and Collier County Consumer Protection and State of FL. read more

I had tons of heavy awkward pieces of furniture and they expertly maneuvered them through my house and onto there truck. Not one scratch on anything. I had the BEST moving experience with Best Moving Allied Van Lines !! They came with 2 moving trucks, 5 guys, Ben, Jared, Taylor, Joe and Isaac. Ben was the "Leader". He is professional, very efficient in his leading skill. Everyone worked hard non-stop. Everything went out without a glitch. My stuff was packed and put in the trucks with the perfect setting, i.e. weight distribution, space occupation. Very efficient. My husband and I are so pleased with the whole 'experience'. I cannot say enough about how seamless and stress free my move was from Marco Island to Vero Beach with Best Moving! From the inception of the first call with Suzanne Ward the General Manager/Owner, she put all my worries to rest that everything would be handled and I had nothing to worry about. I was on a very limited time schedule and had to call last minute, and she easily accommodated my request. She was polite, professional, friendly, knowledgeable and always available when I had any question, no matter how small. My move consisted of the pick up of my belongings in Marco Island first thing am on a Thursday last week and delivering them to Vero Beach on the other coast the following morning. Suzanne was wonderful in organizing having the guys Benjamin (our driver/organizer) and Eric (Red) sleepover night nearby in Vero Beach to facilitate getting in and out quickly early in the morning since I was moving into a high-rise condo community. Benjamin and Eric were very punctual when arriving in Marco Island and the same when I met them on the other coast the next morning. I cannot say enough how thankful I am to not just Best Moving but especially "Benjamin, Eric" and also the two Mikes that helped on either days with the move. Benjamin was a true leader by every sense of the word, he took control of every situation and I literally didn't have to think about anything. It was obvious from the very beginning that Benjamin and Eric took pride in their work, we're very professional, polite, knowledgeable, timely, friendly, and extremely hard workers. I don't think I saw them take a break either day that they were with me. I felt totally at ease knowing that they could handle anything. Benjamin organized everything with the condo association representative upon their arrival, so I need not worry. It was like having family move me, but in a much more organized way. Even when we had a hiccup with one of the elevators going down, Benjamin handled everything for me without even calling me with the president of the association. At the end of the move when everything was complete and they were in their truck about to pull off and I still had a few things left in the one down elevator, no responsibility of theirs... I went to them and said that the repair man was there for the elevator and could they please come back... Benjamin quickly called Suzanne who spoke to me and said absolutely no problem. They literally hand carried everything in the other elevator as not to scratch any walls because the pads were hung in the first elevator. I was so happy to see them come back to put my bed together so I didn't have to have any strangers in my home that evening because they now felt like family to me. I would definitely recommend Best Moving and Benjamin and Eric to anyone making a move. I couldn't ask for a better experience and I have never had a better move 15 times in the past with others, like I did with their company and Benjamin and Eric. I don't think I have ever smiled, been happy, or laughed during a move in my entire life... But I did on the days that Benjamin and Eric showed up at my old house and then my new home. This company exceeded All my expectations from the time Danielle came to my house to the to the end of the job. I was very happy to see two female Packers, Monique and Amanda, arrive at my house on time. They were fast efficient and had great personality. I enjoyed spending the day with them, and as I observed them handling my precious items, both of them handle them with care. What I thought was going to be a stressful day ended up being a good time, and they took a lot of the stress off of my move. I can't say enough about those girls and how professional they are. Seriously? The "flooding" was not in our area. Do you understand real estate contracts? The move out date is ABSOLUTE. Mover did not have a rubber hammer to take apart our piano. Offered to go to Home Depot to get one. He said "no hes done this hundreds of times". Wanted to come back the next day. I said NO, we do n oui t own this place after midnight. Lucky for us a neighbor had a rubber hammer. They also arrived 5 days after they said they would arrive. We spent 5 days sleeping on the floor. We left a million dollar home in Naples and moved into a million dollar loo ar home in Athens and received pathetic service from this company. Without 2 dogs we could have gone to a hotel but could not. Crappy company. read more

I have had occasion to deal with the mover in the past and was so pleased with their services that I had recommended that others use them. But no more! I don't know what happened but when I used them to pack, move and unpack , my laundry room and garage were untouched and it took THREE visits back to my old premises to make sure I had everything! A number of items(including a Kartell stool) went missing,never to be seen again. Repeated correspondence with the company met with no apologies and no offer of compensation for the missing items. Their attitude implied that it was somehow my fault even though I had witnesses to their mishandling firstly, of the move and secondly,of the disappearance of items. Just as I was willing to recommend them earlier, I have no difficulty now in saying STAY AWAY from this moving company! read more

For those who just want the 'big picture', skip to the SUMMARY section at the bottom. For those who prefer a blow-by-blow, read on: The woman who owns Best Moving - Allied called me around 7:30 AM Florida time the morning of my scheduled delivery to tell me my credit authorization for ~ $2,800.00 to cover moving costs had been declined by the card issuer. This was a shock because a) there was enough money available and b) her estimator had previously stated to me that my credit card wouldn't be run until after the moving truck pulled into the driveway of new home. In this case, that would have been shortly after 11 AM. Anyhow, I was alone in my car driving to my 8:15 AM appointment with the closing agent for my new home, so addressing the Best Moving situation on-the-fly was my challenge. 10 minutes later, I pulled off the highway and called the customer service department of my credit card company to 1) ask how 2 days prior, I could have transferred more money than was needed to my account to cover Best's moving fees and yet have the charge declined, and 2) to ask what could be done to fix the problem ASAP to satisfy the owner of Best Moving. The credit card cust svc rep said the only thing she could do was call my bank branch where the money was transferred from to confirm the money was, in fact, MY money. Or, I could simply wait 5 business days until they auto-released the funds. Waiting 5 days clearly was not an option, but the bank in question was in CA and I was in FL, so the difference in time zones became a new problem. I called the owner of Best Moving to tell her that if she waited ~ 4 hours ie until 12 noon, my bank in CA would be open and the problem could be fixed within a matter of minutes. Given the Best Moving scheduler had told me that my home furnishings, including several pieces of fine art, would be delivered around 11 AM FL time, that didn't seem like too much to hope for. Unfortunately, waiting didn't work for the owner. Subsequently, there were a couple of more phone convos with the woman owner of Best Moving, including one involving her estimator. The estimator took that opportunity to categorically deny ever telling me that payment would only be required when my belongings physically arrived at my new home. I gave the woman owner of Best Moving my bank credit card number as a back-up plan, but the bank security protocol apparently kicked in and would not allow her to charge over $1,000.00. Then, without so much as a word to me in advance, the owner called her driver (who later told me was he was about halfway to my location when she called) and ordered him to return and put all my possessions into storage. In reaction to this imperious, after-the-fact declaration, I uttered a one-word expletive. Her years of business acumen and general sagacity seemingly demanded she immediately hang up on me without saying another word, because that's what she did. Trying to salvage the situation I called back, this time a man answered. Providing his name and identifying himself as Mr. Owner only after my insistence that he do so, he proceeded, via insinuation, to verbally threaten me - making clear he was doing so in response to my earlier transgression of uttering a profanity within earshot of his delicate wife. Ultimately, I had to wait for about 1 month until Mrs. Owner located an 'available' driver to deliver my things. Best Moving company ended up charging me some 1,500.00 additional dollars, which was about 50% more than the original quote, and they further required me to pay them via cashier's check prior to even re-loading their truck. When my possessions finally arrived, I discovered that Best Moving's storage facilities obviously don't have adequate air conditioning ie two of my limited edition paintings showed apparent signs of moisture damage - due I imagine to the late May Florida heat and humidity. SUMMARY: I'VE MOVED MANY TIMES DURING MY MANY YEARS. SOME MOVES HAVE BEEN FLAWLESS, SOME MOVES HAVE HAD MINOR HICCUPS AND THEN THERE WAS THIS 'BEST' MOVE, THE WORST MOVE OF ALL. read more
