We hired Reed's moving company of Naples to move a bedroom set and a kyak. From the initial phone contact with Cambry I knew this was going to be a good experience. She asked all the important questions and provided me with key points of information that would be helpful for the move . She was also able to give me an approximate estimate regarding the timeframe and cost of the move. The day before the move, I was contacted for confirmation. Reed's provided my high-rise condominium with their Certificate Of Insurance . I was contacted by the crew 10 minutes prior to their arrival to let me know that they were on their way. Raz and Calvin arrived promptly at 8 am . They securely wrapped all my furniture and kyak and transported them to our new condo in a timely manner. We were extremely pleased with their professionalism and service. I shared with the crew that growing up in Bronx NY my dad worked for a moving company so I know how hard they work on what can be a tiring and difficult job. Although it is true that my piano was damaged in the move and it is also true that it took too long for Reed's to get back to me, I can honestly tell the public that Issac Reed is an honest man and true to his word. He sent out a piano repair technician and repaired the piano to its original form. I am delighted with the final outcome and I would recommend Isaac Reed's company to anyone who has moving needs. We hired Reed's to move a LARGE, HEAVY bar hutch with glass shelves and a mirrored back wall, a 6 foot metal bar with glass shelves, a bar fridge, a humidor cabinet with glass walls, and 3 lamps. The 4 man crew led by DeJohn (I think) were all cheerful, strong, fast, careful and efficient. They carefully padded everything for the move to Reed's Storage until we decide where are moving to here in Naples. I rate them 10 stars on a 5 star scale! Last year, Reed's Moving and Storage stored all of our household items for three months during a renovation. When our renovation was completed, Reed's started the return of our possessions when we noticed that they were moving in furniture that didn't belong to us. After the mixup was solved, we discovered that one of our end tables was missing. One of the owners (Serena?) provided me a picture of said table which I sent to a local furniture store for an estimated replacement cost. The store sent me a replacement cost for almost an exact replica of my lost table. Serena (?) refused to negotiate stating "I am not going to pay that amount for that table!" I spoke to Issac in the weeks that followed and he assured me that it would be taken care of. There was no follow up, no offer of comprise, I have heard NOTHING from them in over a year and I am still missing my end table! The only reason that I gave them any stars is because their workers were conscientious and hard working. read more

A job that should have taken 4-5 hours took over 8! The crew switched up 2 of its workers after 4 hours for personal reasons...flooring was scratched. After being told I could pay by check when I booked the appointment, I was told it had to be cash or credit (with a 3.5% fee) at the end of the day! Furniture was poorly wrapped with packing tape in haphazard way, thus unwrapping was tedious. The first 3 workers were friendly, albeit slow, but the two substitutes were rude, as was the male owner and female in accounting. I do not recommend! I went with them based on Yelp ratings and their low hourly rate, but ended up paying almost double than I have in the past! read more

Very disappointed in the way Reed's Moving & Storage handled damage to our property. During our move, a rug was damaged due to an exposed screw in their truck--something their team acknowledged at the time. We were told we would be "taken care of." After repeated polite follow-ups and even receiving partial compensation, the owner stopped responding entirely and ultimately hung up on us during a call, saying to "have your lawyer call him." I've filed a complaint with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS), as the company refused to engage in any kind of good-faith resolution. I don't enjoy writing reviews like this--but if you're trusting movers with valuable items, I suggest documenting everything and understanding how this company handles accountability. read more

We used them to load for a cross country move and barely had anything arrive NOT damaged as a result of the loading. Boxes marked heavy and books were loaded on 'fragile' boxes resulting in smashed boxes. The unloaders even asked 'who did you use to load this?!' Like it was the worst they'd seen. Our leather couch was wrapped in a blanket and wrap and yet every corner was still ripped. They took the legs off and were NOWHERE to be found. It's unusable! One box of we'll packed plates was smashed top to bottom because it was at the bottom of a stack of heavy boxes. (If it was a result of packing, it wouldn't have affected the whole stack). A tall fake plant was broken from being thrown about the truck. Our outdoor furniture had every seat ripped because they only covered it with paper and then stacked them together poorly and loosely. They had Tv stands just thrown in the truck with loose screws rattling about, so the unloaders had to keep a pile of loose stuff they were collecting for us. You would almost have to TRY to great the damage they did. I move a lot! (9 times in 10 years) And I have never seen damage this bad. Upon contacting them, they claimed the damage was a result of poorly packed boxes and bad moving blankets, not mentioning the damage to the couch, missing legs, outdoor furniture, etc. DO NOT use these guys if you value your stuff! read more

My latest move was the smallest I have ever used them for And I believe it was one of the longest times to load and unload Although the storage unit I moved to was only two or 300 yards away from the community I lived in. Horrible moving company. They hire local moving companies to help them complete their jobs because they do not bring tools or dollys to the job. They have little kids working on the truck with them that can carry boxes but nothing heavy such as couches or pianos. They dispatch their jobs because they do not have enough people working for them so you have no idea who will be stepping your home. If I could give a 0 star I would. read more

They were polite, helpful to each other when asked for assistance and even funny. Highly recommend them. I hired them to unload a 26ft trailer into my parents home and I was very pleased with their service. They were the only company who answered the phone, gave me a clear upfront competitive estimate, called me the day before to verify the details of the move, on the morning of the move, the crew leader called me 15 min prior arrival and they unloaded the trailer and set up the beds under 2 hours. I used Reed Moving several years ago when downsizing from a two story house. I believe in giving credit where credit is due...they did an excellent job. They were hardworking, efficient, professional, and on time. So when I needed to move again, I chose Reed. This time involved moving the contents of two houses and storing it during what turned out to be Hurricane Ian. Again the employees functioned as above; my complaints are not really with them. When my furniture was delivered after the hurricane, there were many items damaged: but primarily two sides of an L-shaped sofa were torn and the feet breaking off, and a baby grand piano with water damage. Both had been maintained in a seldom used living room and were in pristine condition. The workers called management regarding the damage and were told to 1. leave the sofa standing on end and 2. as a liability issue, refuse to put the legs on the piano and leave it standing on end {in the middle of the walkway into the master bedroom}. PIANO:I followed up with the owner and we agreed that I would contact someone to evaluate the piano damage. The piano technician informed me he could not do this unless it was uprighted. The owner again refused to upright it. She suggested turning it over without legs; but that was impossible because it was not a flat surface and a player unit was mounted underneath. Another moving company experienced with moving pianos agreed to help. $495 later it was uprighted, water dripping out, with rusted strings and debris inside. $250 later the technician evaluated and said the minimum amount to make basic repairs was estimated at $2500. This by no means would restore it to its original state. I called Reed but she was having a medical issue, so I emailed the estimates and at a later date called back. NO answer to the email no returned call. I did pay an extra $150 for coverage up to &5000. SOFA: damage to the sofa seems to be at the level of the tape wrapped around to hold the pads in place. DESk: left standing on its side, a damaged desk {not their fault} but given no idea how to put it back together or where the parts were. $250 to repair, but damaged further in the process. SOLID WALNUT CHINA CABINET: water marks from being stored at ground level in apparent flood zone. REVIEW:I recommend the hardworking, polite, and responsible employees of Reed. I cannot recommend management that fails to return emails, calls, or resolve issues with damaged prized possessions. read more
