I have called Metro Self Storage on Summerlin Road in Fort Myers multiple times trying to pay my…read morestorage fee, but they refuse to take payments or update credit card information via the phone. The website they tell me I must use to pay and update my payment information has been down and will not allow me to update my credit card. When I call the corporate office, they acknowledged that the website is not working properly and that many customers are having trouble paying their fees. Their only option is to come in or I will be assessed late fees. They acknowledged the fact that I work out of the area but refuse to understand why I am unable to come in and pay in person. I have now made seven phone calls, sent emails and tried countless times to pay them via multiple methods but they refuse to take my payment. To threaten a customer with fees and tell them you are denying them access to their belongings because you refuse to accept their payments over the phone and your website is down is ridiculous. Judging by the fact that previous reviewers have been having the same issues for the past year, it sounds like management is more interested in scamming customers into late fees than actually taking payments. If you're looking for storage, stay away from Metro Self Storage on Summerlin.

David took me in their golf cart that died after a few feet (so we walked) to see the space. To make a long story short, I was not convinced this would be the best location for me. I told David that I wanted to check on one other location. He offered to hold that space for 2 hours. Within 45 minutes, I called him to let him know I would like to take this space and was returning to provide a credit card. The call went to voice mail. I left a clear message of my desire to take this space. 1 hour, maybe 1 hour and 15 minutes, I was back at the location. I walked in and he said he gave the space away. No "I'm sorry for the misunderstanding", nothing. He said he didn't think I would be back EVEN though he said he would hold it. Obviously he didn't listen to my voicemail either. Very frustrated and disappointed. I guess customer service, honesty and trust is not what Cuzins' is offering. P.S. prior to all this, I stopped in the Bonita Springs location only to be told that there was no one there to assist me or answer questions. The women behind the desk said she was just there to do payroll.

I eventually waited long enough that I could explain that I have work tools in my van for my seasonal business in Ohio during the summer months. I remove all the tools and put my kayaks and bicycles into the van during the winter to take to Florida for 100% recreation purposes. I explained that I will gladly open up the van for inspection upon arrival. I explained that I stored my van at this location last winter and that David and I met last winter on several occasions. David replied that he does not remember who I am and that there is no hope for a relationship that starts out like this.
